4.5 for food 5 for value 5 for service I ordered the seafood medley or something — several kinds of fish(salmon, tilapia) and shellfish(muscles, clams) in a well-herbed olive oil broth with linguine pasta. Superfluous to say, but delicious. The dish minus porcelain must have weighed in close to ¾ pounds for $ 25 + tax and tip. The waitress was very helpful and offered extra servings of house bread to mop up the delicious broth at no charge. I would be surprised if you left this place hungry or sad after a meal like that.

We had dinner here while staying over night on the recommendation of our hotel. My daughter had the steamed clams and over half of them were not even open(not cooked). My husband had the Ahi Tuna which was not fresh but frozen, the color was a light pink not the vibrant that you see when the Tuna is fresh. I had the Special of Crab and Asparagus Risotto, the risotto was cooked well but I had to dig to find any crab in the dish. The only saving grace to the meal was an out of town guest that was with us who had the prosciutto wrapped Ling Cod that was delicious. The service was mediocre at best as we had to repeatedly ask for more water and a second drink(which we never received). Of course the waitress may have been preoccupied watching the drunk woman that kept throwing up in the bathroom(less than 10 feet from our table). With a final bill of just over $ 180 for 4 dinners and 3 drinks I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Such amazing food! One of the pricier restaurants in town, but the service is always great and the food wonderful. They have a fun little bar upstairs and they are next door to the theatre.

2.5 stars; this is probably your grandparents’ favorite restaurant on the Peninsula. It’s been around since ’89, and likely hasn’t ever been updated. Slow to be seated, but our server was lovely. WA apple salad was great but not worth $ 11. Crab cakes had good favor and were mushy. And sweet hazelnut cream sauce exists to ruin a solid chunk of halibut here. Wine list was fine; beer list okay. Wear light clothing; it’s retirement-home warm in there.

This review is only for the hostess as we decided to leave after our interaction. We walked in with our party of 5 and asked for a table. She looked around the restaurant in panic with a 2 minute pregnant pause, it was lol comical, and said, «we could seat you in about 15 minutes, is that okay?». We smiled and said, «yes, of course!», to which she replied,“well, if you’re REALLY hungry I suggest you go somewhere else because our kitchen is very slow and it could take FOREVER to get food”. I’ve never been so strongly discouraged to not eat somewhere and took the advice of their employee and decided to go across the street for lunch.

We had the crab burger and fish n chips. The crab burger was really good but the fish and chips which is their most popular dish was a disappointment. For dessert we shared a molten chocolate cake with ice cream. The cake was ok, the center wasn’t molten enough to ooze out when cut into.

Excellent service, and superb food! For Mothers Day we enjoyed the Espresso-Crusted Ribeye, and the Mushroom/Tomato Risotto. The Ribeye was cooked exactly as ordered(well done), and the Risotto was perfectly creamy and firm. Our compliments to the chef for such a marvelous creation, and our highest recommendation to any who are considering dining at this fine establishment.

So far, amazing… Sylvia, our waitress is great. Perfect service. Margarita with pomegranate is soooo good. And then the Ceasar salad… so lemony and cheese is shaved, and big pieces. Amazing. back when I’m done eating. My Bestie had the fettuccine with prawns. I had several bites. Next time I come here, I’m having that… ya that. I had the New York strip with peppercorn sauce. Sooooo goooood. You should eat here

This is becoming one of my favorite date night spots. The food is amazing and the service is great. They’re always so patient and attentive. My husband loves to cook, so he always has questions.

This is Port Townsend’s premier all– around restaurant. Cozy lounge, prompt service, nice specials and imaginative pies! There are attractively priced nightly specials and a fabulous bar. Find a plush leather seat in the lounge, order a tasty drink and the pepper steak with garlic mashed followed by a piece of pie made fresh daily by the owner, and you will have found«home.»

4.5 for atmosphere 3.5 for food 4 for cocktails Somehow we managed to stay at this place for 3.5 hours, which is a first. And we are so glad we did. The atmosphere is both comfortable and welcoming yet elegant and refined. We started with wine and an appetizer, then our entrees and ended with dessert and a cocktail(the vesper, it was the best option in my opinion). We totally got our roost on and it was absolutely perfect. To be honest, the salmon was slightly overcooked(still tasty) and the seafood pasta could have been a little more interesting. And it took longer than usual for our food to arrive… not that we minded. All in all, this review is for the food and atmosphere equally. The vibe of this restaurant is what kept us there for 3 hours. It was vibrant and busy yet peaceful and relaxing. We just wanted to stay and enjoy the environment. Our previous plan was to bar hop to see what other places were out there. Clearly we nixed that decision. All in all, I couldn’t give it 5 stars due to the food itself… which was still really great! I would however, give 5 stars for atmosphere which is what kept us at Silverwater Café.

The owner of The Old Consulate Inn recommended dining here. Appetizers, were delicious, we had Mussels and Clams and spinach salad. Ordered the New York to split but instead of medium we got medium well, very disappointed. The waiter was very responsive and apologetic and took ½ off the steak. We would go back again and give it another try.

Everything was excellent and fairly priced here, and the service was attentive but hands-off(in other words, perfect). Would definitely come here again next time we are in Port Townsend. I had the clams and mussels, which tasted very fresh and were steamed in a great broth. My wife had the fish and chips, which had a very light batter(could use a bit of salt) and were served with a creamy tartar sauce, some Belgian-style frites, and some exceptionally light and tasty cole-slaw– no mayo here! The food was so good that we decided to turn an initially quick meal into an event, and ordered the rare dessert(we don’t normally do sweets, but it was too good to pass up!). The chocolate molten cake a la mode we split was to-die-for: completely silky and gooey in the center. A perfect way to finish off a lovely dinner! Highly recommended for an unpretentious, reasonably priced, special-occasion meal.

THis is our second visit, today for lunch. Our previous was dinner. This is a very popular restaurant and for good reason. Both meal’s menus offer lots of choices, all creative. The food was prepared to perfection. My wife ordered a side of sweet potato fries. These were not string, skinny ones. that is served every where. They appeared hand cut and the style/size of jo-jo’s. The service at both meals was very good. Relaxed but attentive w/o being«pushy».

Great place with a wonderful ambiance and yummy food. We shared a cheese plate and a side of fries late one evening after taking in a movie. It was a beautiful way to round out the evening.

We got in right before the lunch rush. I had a ½ sandwich&soup combo that was killer. A Crab and shrimp melt, yumbo! and we both loved the soup. the service was very good but she was slammed and the end of our meal, no problem for us but the server was apologetic anyway. Port Townsend is a cute little town and this place fit right in.

We were seated right away(on Labor Day) which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of vegetarian options for my husband. I indulged in the fish and chips. They were good but probably could have used another 30 seconds in the fryer. My better half had the lentil burger which was very tasty. Our server was lovely and was able to answer all questions we had.

I truly love this restaurant! It is an absolutely excellent place to gather. I may seem biased, since I have worked here, but this has only allowed my affection for this place to grow. My family dined at the Silverwater for many years, and I always had a great time when I got to go. The food is delicious! We all have our favorites from the menu, but I can definitely say there are many dishes here that are total crowd pleasers. My favorite appetizer is the crab cake dish, they are truly amazing! They are sort of «asian infused», topped with a bit of ginger and a delish buttery lemon sauce. It is a rare occasion to see even one flake of crab left on the plate at anyone’s table. I also love the super yummy steamed clams. The broth is so good, you may have to get extra bread to soak it up. I also must say that the best fish and chips I have ever eaten are here. I love seafood, but I also eat vegetarian a lot, and there are options for that as well, or if you’re gluten free… the kitchen is always willing to accommodate people with sensitivities.

Once we finally reached Port Townsend after a long day, we were not too hungry and wanted«light» fare. This is definitely a seafood restaurant and I’m not too keen on that stuff(please don’t shun me). It’s definitely on the pricey side, but what I saw from neighboring tables, everything looked good. It’s a nice, clean restaurant with great service. We were drinking water like no tomorrow and our waitress was great at making sure our glasses were always full and that we had everything. As for the food, my friend had the shrimp gumbo and remarked that it didn’t look like gumbo, the overall flavor was«okay» and that the rice was too mushy. Their complementary bread with garlic butter was good. I had the side of sesame garlic soy green beans(because I wanted some Key Lime pie). The flavor was good, but towards the bottom they were sitting in a puddle of soy, so those beans were sacrificed. The Key Lime pie was delicious! All their desserts are made in house and would definitely come back just for their pie.

We stopped in this place from a hotel staff recommendation and a look at the posted menu. The place was not overly business for a Thursday night. We ordered the clam chowder which was grainy with sand and was just average in taste. The service was unorganized we were service items wrong, slowly, and out of order. I thought the Ahi lavender was going to be unique and different. The crab cakes were more breadcrumbs then lumps of crabs and overly salted. It lacked any hint of lavender and the temperature of the fish appear to be lukewarm. As if it was sitting a bit before we were serviced.
