The Gyro Joint

Update: I brought my sister here yesterday (pickiest person that I know) and even she loved it. Now she wants to come back really soon. I haven’t tried anything else except the gyro combo with the fries but it’s still delicious, the restaurant was very clean and the owner was very friendly. Thanks again and we’ll stop by soon! :)

Stopped in because everyone was in the mood for some Greek food! Woo Hoo! Got the lamb gyros plate and I was having a bit of a food orgasm eating it! My nephew ordered a second sandwich, because it truly is that good!

Just a really good first visit. I have to thank Unilocaler Cherine for this recommendation. Her review convinced me to stop, and I wasn’t disappointed.
The food exceeded my expectations. I had a gyro, which was as good as any I had. So good and very hardy. See the attached photo. The gyro pita bread was incredible. It tasted homemade … Kind of like a pancake or an arepa. I also had some onion rings, which were okay.
The gyro, however, was really, really good.
I visited this place on a quiet Saturday afternoon, and the older lady and gentleman took care of my needs. I look forward to returning. I was very happy and impressed with my first visit.

Delicious Gyros and they definitely put enough meat.
Spicy hummus is also a delicious sub for the tzaziki sauce.
Owners are very nice and welcoming like you are part of the family.

Everything is delicious, and the customers are treated like family. I’ve been eating here since they opened 2 years ago and the food is consistently flavored. The hummus is great! The tzatziki is fantastic and homemade. I haven’t tasted any thing else like this place. Come get it!

Wow not your typical Gyro shop for sure. Everything is made fresh to order. The owner is extremely nice and appreciates his customers. If I lived closer to this store I would eat there everyday.

We ordered beef gyros and I was craving something fried so I had the onion rings. Everything was great and what you would expect from a great gyro shop!

Very Authentic Greek Food straight from the country itself! It was delicious. My Fiancé and I had a Gyro Pita with Macaroni Salad and must I say it was TASTY! Tzaziki sauce was PERFECT! I’m a Greek and I will tell you that when I walk in this Greek Joint I feel like I’m back home in Athens, Greece. I will definitely be back here and also will try the Cristina’s Café! Thankyou for the best authentic Greek Food!

This Greek restaurant is awesome! They have really cool murals on the wall about their story of traveling to the US from Greece and of course they have amazing food! We will definitely be coming back

Ordered for carry-​out. Forgot to takes pics but the place looked and smelled really sanitary but did not wreak of household cleaners like other places I’ve been and I complimented the staff as such. I enjoyed a fresh gyro and a nice conversation with the owner Pascual and a lovely young lady at the register. However, seems to me, the massive gyro was a bit overstuffed with lettuce and tomato and less lamb meat for the price… thus the 3 stars. Plan to go back and dine-​in with my husband.

This place… where should I begin? First time stopping by I was actually on my way to get Kin Ramen up the street but I have been on a mission to find the best Gyro meat in town. Although this place had very good flavor, the problems are not with the quality of the food itself, more with the portion and customer service. I had asked for a gyro unmade aka platter, didn’t see one on the menu. I didn’t want any carbs and the choice of sides along with a small (small) side of Greek salad listed only macaroni salad, fries and onion rings. I asked for just extra salad, no fattening carbs. And extra tzatiki.
When I went to pick up my order at the counter the lady told me relating back what the man cooking (assuming the owner) had said, next time there is a $ 2.00 charge since I didn’t choose a side!!! Wait, what? This must be some killer Greek salad. Olives and all! Far from it!

There was no platter, it was wrapped ok, that is no big deal, but the salad was a joke and the tzatiki sauce? Almost nonexistent! You tell me does that look like a $ 14.00 gyro platter!
Sorry but I’ll drive to Keeses to get a really good Gyro or the Greek Isles.

There are a ton of fast food and other Greek gyro type joints in the area, most of which really don’t amount to much, seemingly offering little more than a fast food type of inferior sub-​par gyro, sandwich or wrap in uncomfortable surroundings, but I’m happy to say that The Gyro Joint is not one of them. Indeed, it stands apart as a shining star in an otherwise dark gyro joint sky.
The Gyro Joint is well arranged, spacious, spotlessly clean, even its restroom facilities, and has an owner/​chef who really knows what he is doing and how to cook up what is the best.
I ordered a gyro chicken with lettuce, tomato, pepper, onion and tzatziki sauce. When served, I found the flavors delightful. The chicken had been nicely marinated and the flavors of all seemed to combine themselves in to what was one of the best tasting, freshest in ingredients of any I’ve ever had. I also had it with a side a macaroni salad, which for a humble macaroni salad was likewise one of the best.

Let me start by saying I love a great Gyro and The Gyro Joint hits it out of the park!
I don’t give out 5-​stars ever but food, simplicity and cleanliness was exceeded.
I had the lamb Gyro combo that comes with homemade fries and soft drink for $ 9. You can get macaroni salad, coleslaw, o-​rings or fries with the combo. They also offer many different types of Greek food as well.
The lamb meat was fresh and had a nice outer crispiness with a tender center, same is true with the Pita. Pita was heated on hot flat top and nice crisp and also was soft in the middle, delicious! Standard Gyro comes with homemade taziki sauce, raw onion, toms and lamb. It was spot on and I ate every last bite, I had messy fingers and a big smile on my face!

To top it of the restaurant is warm, super clean and has very friendly staff, it’s privately owned and operated by owner Pascal who is Greek! Go figure a Greek owner, perfect :). He said everything is made from scratch in his kitchen. He gave me a sample of his humus and it was great, you can tell he takes pride in what he does.
If your looking for a «real» gyro from a dedicated owner who cares please stop by, I will be back for sure!

By far the BEST gyro I’ve ever had! So fresh, so delicious, so outstanding!!!
Where ever your favorite place is, it doesn’t hold a flame to this place. I promise.
