I had the yum neu, pad kee mao and to top it off fried bananas with ice cream. Sooo good. I enjoyed everything. The restaurant is a little out dated with décor but who cares. With food this good i can overlook it. Service was great. The waitress was very attentive and polite. I def recommend if you want good food and not looking for the«hot spot».

My new favorite Thai restaurant we have it at least once a week, this place makes great food and not over priced, the portions are huge and they know about Thai spices!

Their website says they’e open until 10:00pm. We called at 9:40 pm for a large take-out order and they turned us down. This was our first time trying them out and we were excited about trying their tempura menu. Since they turned us down so abruptly, we will never use them again. We called a Chinese restaurant near our house at 9:45 for take-out and they were happy to accommodate us for delivery. Talay Thai, get your s*** together.

Great place to get Thai food. I especially love the iced Thai tea. Chicken is cooked perfectly and you can request how much spice you prefer in your dish.

I went to Talay Thai in December. This place was so disgusting. My brother and sister and law were visiting. They love Thai food so we stopped there for dinner. I ordered the Chicken with the Red Curry Coconut milk sauce. I don’t know why the waitress bothered asking what heat level we wanted are food because the food didn’t have any flavor at all. It looked like the food was pre-steamed and then thrown on the dish and any sauce was an afterthought. It was swimming in water with a splash of soy. No Curry, No coconut milk. My brother and his wife both ordered the pepper steak dinner. It looked like steamed beef and vegetables. Again swimming in soy water. No pepper steak. Our food wasn’t edible. I didn’t eat it. I was so embarrassed for bringing my family to Talay Thai. I will never return again.

My go to for Thai. Their green curry, pad see ew, and pad Thai see to be the best items so far, but I’m also a big fan of their sushi. Simple, fresh food(served by a family) is what keeps me coming back. Their bento boxes are great!

Stopped in last night on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Awesome sushi and good service. No thrills with the building but who cares when service and food is so good. I got the volcano lobster roll which was the best I have ever had. Huge too! My wife got pepper steak. Steak melted in your mouth and she couldn’t eat it all. Dumplings awesome and sauce for spring rolls were to die for. Only have a week left this winter in Pompano but definitely will be back before we leave.

The decision to eat at this restaurant has to be the worst one I’ve made in my food career. I ordered the ginger chicken with great anticipation only to be disappointed. It has to be one of, if not the worst chicken I’ve had. I also ordered the crazy roll which wasn’t too shabby but I did not enjoy the unusual crunchiness it had to it and felt like for its prices it could of been a hundred times more satisfying. I only give one star for the fact that they had good service and they were very kind.

Talay Thai in Pompano Beach is a great spot for quick and inexpensive Thai food. The restaurant itself isn’t anything special but the food is great. I usually order the Panang curry which is the best around, even better than the very popular Thai Spice in Fort Lauderdale. I’ve also had the pad Thai which is very good as well. I almost always order take out and the food is always hot, fresh and ready within minutes.

Ever since I found out about Talay Thai I’ve been obsessed. I didn’t even know I liked curry as much as I did until I had their green curry! I’ve ordered take out and dined in and had an amazing experience each time. Hands down one of my favorite quick and delicious eats!

Good food at a good price. The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is clean. I didn’t find anything about this place that I did not like. They have a fairly extensive menu, so you’re bound to find something you like. This is a small, intimate place. Very friendly. A neighborhood restaurant. It’s not fancy but the food is good.

This is a little Thai place with a huge menu and a love for Christmas lights! If you need directions here or want to direct them here just look for the Christmas lights and you’re here. You’ll know what I mean when you get there. They have a cool/small fish tank in the middle of the seating area to you to watch while you wait for your server/meal. The menu is enormous. One page Thai and one page of Japanese. Both equally delicious. The service was good– not amazing but good. The food came out quickly and the server was nice, but the food is definitely what keeps you coming back. The peanut chicken was top-notch. And the white rice comes out in the form of butterfly. If you’re sharing it comes out as a heart. Shout out to all us singles out there(womp wah). It’s all good though, more rice for me. The place is pretty clean and the parking isn’t too bad either. Being off a busy street I figured I would have way more trouble finding a spot. It’s definitely worth a stop(or two).

Had the pad Thai Bento box and it was just okay nothing to get crazy about. Overall the pad Thai was the best item in the bento box, but the sushi and salad was pretty blah. Sushi was mayo heavy and rice was not prepared correctly. People learn how to prepare sushi if you are gonna offer it on your menu!!! Also the salad was covered in a not that amazing dressing. I wonder why people today feel like it is important to overly load salad with dressing. All this to the side the staff was very friendly and place was clean, but not sure I will repeat.

Something’s never change at Talay Thai. The warmth of the staff. The speed of the service. The quality of the foods. The consistency. Now at last, there is a new and far easier to navigate menu. One side is dedicated to the Thai dishes and the other to the sushi, rolls etc. I like the simplicity. There are a couple of changes(Chu chee curry has gone) but the new look works.

Went here for date night because I figured if there was a line we could keep driving east on Atlantic and hit up one of the other two sushi places I saw on Unilocal. We waltzed in without a reservation at 8pm on a Friday and most of the tables and booths were empty. I got a Chang beer and ordered the Panang Curry and fish soup to start. My girlfriend got some tea and ordered the Seafood Pad Thai and the Eel Roll. All of this, after tax, was just under $ 60. There is a $ 3.00 charge for sharing plates, but the large portions would actually save you money doing it that way(especially the SPT). The fish soup came first. It was a lot bigger than I had anticipated(it’s a $ 10 soup), and we couldn’t finish it. Next came the sushi, which was as good as the rest of these reviews indicate. Finally came our entrees, which were sizable, steaming, and served with a smile. Everything was good, but I eat anything and I don’t really review the food, I review the experience. That said, this is not a first date venue. The table tops are a light-colored, deli style that reminds you of eating in Subway. The fish tank next to us was broken. The sushi bar, which should be the focal point in a place like this, was tucked away in a corner and not lit up. The TVs are old. Simply put, it’s not in the least bit romantic, so try Tee-Jay or something for that. However, there are two caveats to the experience here. First, you can make it romantic by sitting outside. The outside furniture was actually pretty cute, the lighting was calmer, and although it’s right there on busy Atlantic, if outside dining is for you then this place looks like it could offer reprieve from the bland setting indoors. Secondly, this is a great place for either a working lunch or a dinner with some drinking buddies. The food is delicious and hearty(and plentiful), and there are two TVs that could be changed to the game. We also saw a happy birthday song performed by the staff, so families are obviously welcome here as well. PS — for all you spiceaholics, they customize their Scovilles on a 1 – 5 ranking, 5 obviously being the hottest. Order it at 5. I always order curry very spicy, but at some places 5 is just unpleasant because they go overboard with spice and ignore the flavor. Not this place: I ordered it at 3 just to get an idea of it, and my girlfriend, who has trouble with ground black pepper, couldn’t even taste it. Again, if you like spice, order it at 5. Bonus points: large and hearty portions, free parking, easy to find Points for improvement: ambiance, SPT mussels were dry(but few places do mussels well), spice up that curry!
