Went here last night based on the reviews on Unilocal. After having dinner here I’m curious if the reviews were written by employees. Atmosphere is Vegas glitz, very loud and brightly lit. Looked great on the outside though. What a letdown! Waiter who was very corny placed olive oil on the table but no bread. Didn’t say anything but after 5 minutes a busboy brought 1 roll for me and 1 roll for my wife. I was not aware of a yeast shortage in Coconut Creek until last night. After a few bites of my long awaited roll they took it away! Was there a maximum # of bites allowed? Dinner was of. Pasta, red sauce special with a meatball for $ 27!!! I mean come on. My wife had a chicken Marsala which was fine. She ordered a side of broccoli which was way over cooked-and cost $ 8 for less than a spear. Our bill was $ 116 for 2 dinners, 1appetizer and 3 glasses of merlot served cold! Stay away from this place unless you like spending money for very over priced food

Been going here for years. The atmosphere is Fantastic. More important is the food, everything is made from scratch including the pasta and it’s always outstanding.

Just got done with a fabulous meal at Mario’s. This place is a gem and sorely needed in the Parkland area. The service is outstanding as well as the food presentation. My husband had the gnocchi and I had the chicken tortellini. If there is one thing I demand it is that my food be hot and not only was it hot but it stayed that way throughout my meal. The bread was fantastic with the olive oil and balsamic and Mario’s signature meatballs for an appetizer made the meal so enjoyable. The wine list is a very good one too.

I discovered this gem just over a year ago. The ambiance is fantastic and the food is amazing. Chef Mario and his lovely wife Nadia will make you feel welcome. The veal meatballs in the best tasting marinara sauce I have ever had will have you at the first bite. Chicken Marsala at Mario is so tender and delicious you will be craving it long after you leave. The chicken tortelloni is served in an amazingly rich and meaty cream sauce. The lobster ravioli in a garlicy red sauce is an excellent choice. And it is not just pasta and chicken that Chef Mario does magic with. Try the jumbo shrimp in a sweet thai chili sauce, the tuna, fresh branzino or the steak. The fact is, there are so many excellent selections that you will want to keep coming back. Oops, almost forgot the tiramisu; just one of the fabulous desserts. Mario Ristorante is elegant with an experienced staff to care for you. You don’t want to miss this one!

I want to make this a five star but need to go a couple more times and try a couple more things. Great value for the quality of the food. I had a special when I went, seafood pasta with squid ink. It was outstanding! My fiancé had a pasta dish that she was very happy with and the other couple loved what they had. All in all great meal nice quiet ambiance.

The food here is definitely good. The wine list is also very good. A little on the pricey side. We ate here one day while Christmas shopping. It was early and I wasn’t all dressed up, even though it is a little more upscale or at least that’s what they are going for here. The snobby hostess looked down her her euro trash nose at us like«how dare you you come here dressed in jeans.» I would definitely eat here again though. I think if they lowered their prices a touch and made it more welcoming for the casual diner they would pack em in. I had the mussels appetizer and a pasta dish with a bolognese. Bravo!

Wow! What a find! I checked out this place from reviews I read on Unilocal, and I must agree! The food was delicious, atmosphere and ambiance was upscale and classy, and the service was good too. Reasonably priced fancy Italian place hidden in the heart of north Coconut Creek. Love this place.

I am writing this as I finish my meal so I can fully express what a find this restaurant is. In a sea of strip malls chain restaurants and all you can eat buffets Mario’s is a classy gem worth every bite! Fabulous wine list, wonderful sevice and aunthentic italian cuisine make this a place you would find where I am from right outside nyc. The mozzerella caprese was served uniquely on crostini and with perfectly aged balsamic. I had the best lobster ravioli I have ever had. I am a harsh critic and 100 percent italian! My boyfriend had the veal chop in a port reduction that he describes as juicy and savory with enough for lunch tomorrow. It was my boyfriend’s bday and they brought over some tiramisu on the house! Service was excellent from tommy, hostess nadia, and mario the chef gets major kudos! A don’t miss!

My friend has been raving about mario for awhile, beautiful restaurant buried in a shopping center behind a Shell station, the food was fabulous, fresh and had a fabulous texture, The menu was creative but the specials truly sounded special, we all ordered from the specials that the waiter recited, Wine selection was pretty good, like the food a lil pricey but just delicous. I noticed a nice private room in the back perfect for a small(20 – 30 people) function. Not what you would expect on 441, buried in a strip center in coconut creek

After a great evening last night dining out, as we were driving home I remembered this restaurant that we tried about a month ago. Can not believe it has not been reviewed yet. I am so grateful to be reviewing this place. Located in Regency Lake Village Center. Small place, but I can not even begin to describe how beautiful the inside is. Very modern, chic, white big pillars, gorgeous cool lights, very cool bar area, white leather designer chairs. You feel like you have walked into a chic, modern, villa in Tuscany. Breathtaking! After our initial visit, it was so good we had to go back two weeks later with friends. Mario and Nadia are the owners. Originally from Italy, forgot what part but wow can you tell the food is so authentic. Mario himself does the cooking.(open kitchen so you can view your dishes being cooked) Food: 5 plus stars– some of the best food ever had. Caponata Di Mamma Maria-Traditional eggplant delight. Mussels and calamari as appetizers also tried, excellent on all levels. My favorite: Orecchiette Con Sugo D’Angelo– orecchiette pasta with new zealand ground lamb in a ragu sauce… delicious flavor, sauce is perfect, nice garlic, not sweet, fresh chunks of tomatoes… Hubby likes the Veal Chop made with port wine sauce. Service– Upscale at it’s best!(Excellent) Dessert– best part Limoncello brought to you in a champagne flute, refreshing lemon gelato combined with lemoncello. OH so good… Wine– very good selection, typical prices, some great wines to choose from. They offer happy hours and live music, just not sure what night but I hear you can’t even get in the place. If you want some of the best Italian food ever, in a sophisticated, warm friendly, beautiful restaurant this is a must try. You will not be disappointed and it is a very memorable place!!! Prices– reasonable $$ good portion sizes. Have plans to go back very soon.
