No idea why the recent negative reviews… been coming to Patrizias ever since it first opened. The service is excellent, restaurant absolutely beautiful and service impeccable. Very impressed with the wine list and the food menu has some interesting dishes along with a few Italian staples like chicken parm. Went with my friend, we started off with two glasses of wine and the ahi appetizer. For our main course we got the lobster with spaghetti and shrimp/scallops limenicello. Both really good, definitely wish there was a tad more sauce on the shrimp but overall excellent dishes. For dessert we split the lemon cake. It was fresh, light and moist. Patrizia is a lovely person and came out to chat with us after our meal. Will keep returning!

Whoa I really want to be nice here because the staff seemed really friendly and nice. We went on a Saturday night and had a drink at the bar. They had a few people eating at the bar and we enjoyed pleasant conversation. The bar keep Johnny was friendly. So why the two stars? Well it took forever to get seated and then we were finally seated the waiter seemed overwhelmed. Nice, polite guy but totally a stranger to our table. Totally parched we begged for water. Nice guy waiter came and poured 1 out of 3 of the glasses and then disappeared again. Bread was promised but was a no show. We finally tackled him for bread. As for the food, eh just ok. We ordered a Patrizia’s salad for an app and it consisted of a couple of cherry tomatoes cut in half chopped avocado with some obligatory greens. Tasty but skimpy. Most of us were awake by the time dinner came. We had a Salmon, fish special and a pasta fish dish that were all 3 – 4 star caliber, as far as taste. Portions are on the smaller side. I read previous poor reviews on Patrizia’s and thought some of the reviews were harsh and maybe the reviewer was having a bad day but some were dead on. This place has potential and probably needs a manager that can assemble a professional crew that can put on a happy face and provide a pleasant dining experience. We were told they were short wait staff? Really on a Saturday night? I understand the place was expanded and maybe that is part of the problem. Too many table not enough support staff? They have great potential but at this point they are anything but a well oiled machine. I hope the reviews get better and they get their act together.

This is the type of restaurant you bring a date to, or impress out of town friends. The kitchen takes care in how the food comes out, and it looks like art. They are very strict, and they won’t let you substitute anything. I had the pollo parmigiana(I’m not even sure if I spelled it right) which is Chicken Parmesian to most of us. It was delicious and very filling. My girlfriend had some type of seafood dish. She let me try one of her scallops and it was the best scallop I ever had. My step daughter had baby back ribs, and it actually came with plantains. She is Colombian so it made her day. I honestly didn’t think anyone around here even knew what a plantain is. All restaurants have a few negative reviews, but I feel the reviewers for this restaurant would be happier at a corporate place like TGI Fridays or the Olive Garden. Some may even fancy a double quarter pounder with cheese at McDonalds. Remember, you get what you pay for. This is fine food with art. I’m a fan

Very disappointed with Patrizia’s in Plymouth, MA. It was our first visit, it will be our last. I believe the menu is over priced, and just not that good. Terrible value w/the Early Bird Special. We ordered from the Early Bird Special menu having arrived prior to 6:00pm.($ 15.95 per meal– standard menu items begin at about $ 18.00 for spaghetti & meatballs) We found them online on our way home from an event in Boston and decided to give them a try. I ordered the Haddock Puttanesca, my wife the Pork Filet Marsala. The fish arrived as a 3″ by 3″ fillet, about ¾″ thick —(smaller than a McD’s fillet o’ fish). It was overcooked and dry to the taste. My wife’s Pork Filet Marsala portion was similarly much smaller than one would expect, however it did taste good. The dining room was very comfortable, clean and attractive. Service was fine. There are many other Italian food options in Plymouth and in Sandwich, MA and I would recommend trying all other options prior to dining at Patrizia’s.

I really loved this place when it opened a few years back. It was our favorite date night spot. The food was always fantastic & the offerings were different than your run of the mill Italian Restaurant. Portion sizes were perfect, not too big but not too small. Unfortunately, during our Recent visits, the food has lost its flair. The last few times we went, everything was just mediocre. It was not worth the money and the portions are very small now. The waitess was great! My last meal there I had raviolis, they were just ok. And my husband’s pork was very dry. It’s really a shame, because it used to be just spectacular. I’m hoping things change for the better, I’m willing to give it one more try before we write this restaurant off. Hopefully Patrizia finds a new chef/kitchen staff.

Patrizia’s was our go-to place when we wanted to treat ourselves(or others) while visiting friends in the summer. 4 – 7 years ago it was great, serving different risotto dishes, a carbonara pasta dish and most of all — sacchetti! I had never had such a dish before and have never found it anywhere else and believe me I looked. It was so special, a lovely little appetizer consisting of «pasta purses» with pear. About 3 yrs ago, Patrizia’s stopped making it, saying it was too time consuming and a reason along the lines of Panera Bread(?) started making it, something I could never confirm. Aside from the sacchetti and other dishes no longer on the menu, the food is just not good anymore but just as expensive. Still willing to give it a try the last few years, hoping it turned around, we would go and were always disappointed. This past year, we(4 adults and 1 child) tried again and ugh… My parents ordered a veal dish that was heavily breaded and so large only ½ was eaten. I had a special — linguine(?) with lobster in a lobster sauce which was just not good. I had others try my dish and they agreed — there was a very unpleasant flavor to the sauce. Of all the entrees and main courses ordered there was only 1 item that was given a thumbs up — the burrata in salad. We didn’t order dessert, we were not going to spend even more money only to be disappointed. I don’t know if the restaurant changed hands, I don’t think this is the case as I think I saw Patrizia coming out of the kitchen. We had always looked forward to our Patrizia’s dinners but it is not the high quality, fine dining experience it used to be, which to me, is really a shame.

Stopped in last night for a dessert & coffee. We were greeted by a wonderful hostess and taken outside to a bar top table where we had a wonderful seat overlooking Plymouth. Our server Marissa was very attentive and very helpful with choosing a dessert, great evenng spent with my wife. Dessert & coffee were perfect.

The food was fabulous. Our party had the Mahi Mahi and the cod. The cod was very good but the Mahi Mahi was outstanding. Our server, Taylor, was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great suggestions for our party. The restaurant has a nice outdoor area in which to dine. We will go again.

1 word: Racist. My African American girlfriend went there to eat tonight and we were told it’d be a half hour wait and she’d call us. When we went back a half hour later after NEVER being called to see how long the wait was she said it’d be another half hour. Another party came in and were given only a ½ hour wait. When we were finally seated we asked how long the wait would be for food and they told us it’d be an hour until we’d get our food, and did we want to leave. We basically were refused service because she is black.

Been here three times in three seasons and it is never a disappointment. Lovely décor, attentive and friendly service, and delicious upscale Italian food. This is not the place to go if you are looking for an Olive Garden. The food is surprising and inspired by the ingredients, playing up the flavors! The cocktails are unique and delicious and the servers know how to pair the right wine with each dish! Everything wonderful here.

Last night we had almond-crusted sole and a shrimp & scallops dish. Both were excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. The bar is well-stocked with good wines and good spirits, including some local ones and some seldom-seen Italian ones — I had a Luxardo aperitivo with soda on the side. Patrizia’s is greatly expanded from when we first went some years ago — it is no longer claustrophobic, but spacious and elegant.

I struggled with how many stars to give this place, 3 stars means«A-Ok». And I can’t with good conscience say that it was a-okay, but 2 stars seems kinda harsh so we’ll call in 2.7… The Good: The ambiance was pretty good. Comfy chairs, good background music, clean etc… Our server was professional, and never kept us waiting too long… My crab cake app was FANTASTIC, very, very good, maybe the best crab cakes ever, my wife’s salad was also very good. The Bad: I got a shrimp and scallop entrée that our server recommended over the seafood pasta. I was NOT good, and the scallops were HORRIBLE, they were the saltiest thing I ever pit in my mouth. They literally hurt me. And scallops are easy to cook. You just put it in a pan with a little oil, and flip it over once, it’s so simple. I have no idea what they were doing back in the kitchen but they created a disaster on a plate. And I like salt too, but that was nasty, really disgusting. And our server didn’t seem to care when I told her, she didn’t offer me anything else, she didn’t really apologize, she didn’t comp anything, she just looked at me like, «okay…» She was also weird about taking our order, like everything had to be done according to her timeline… Looking at me like I was out of line for asking about the specials before she took our drink order, heaven forbid. So overall, based on how gross my entrée was and the controlling, unresponsive service I’ll go to a better place like Tosca next time I want some good Italian food. I will note however that thee portions were fine and the prices right on point for an upscale south shore restaurant.

This is a review and a reply to Keri O. Patrizia’s is different than the usual restaurants you find in Plymouth. It is a relaxed environment with service than is higher than other restaurants in the area. Now, to address Keri O. My wife and I were enjoying a great meal, accompanied by great service at the bar. It was New Years Eve and it was so nice to have a relaxing dinner for 2 that was not at a loud packed bar. In the middle of our dinner a lady approached the bar to talk to the bartender. Who later I found out was a manager as well. I have to say that the bartender/manager handled the situation perfectly. The lady was abrasive, rude, LOUD and aggressive. The bartender held his cool and«killed» her with kindness, per say. I say this because as he was more and more understanding and apologetic while explaining himself, she was getting more and more angry. Nothing that the he did was enough. Clearly this lady is use to throwing a tantrum and getting her way. I commend the fine gentleman for handling the situation like he did. I know that he could have gone«head to head» with her, but he chose the higher road. As the angry«women» stopped away in disgust, we all shook our heads and told the bartender how great he was. I am writing this because I feel that too many people hide behind a keyboard. Negative feedback is what people thrive on. This is a great place with great food and great service. Please do not let one person’s possible«negative» experience stop you from enjoying the amazing food and service this place has to offer! Happy New Year!

My husband and I just got home from a terrible meal and even worse service at Patrizia. To be fair, we visited this restaurant once before and would have given it four or five stars, but tonight’s experience was so atrocious that we will not be venturing back ever again. Unfortunately, the negative experience started even before we arrived at the restaurant. We made a reservation approximately one month prior. I was careful to note that we would be party of two WITH a newborn and would need room for an infant carrier. The hostess called me the evening before we were supposed to dine at Patrizia and explained that they were full and would have a difficult time accommodating an infant seat due to the number of reservations they’d received since we made our reservation. I explained that given the late notice we would have a very difficult time finding a reservation elsewhere and the hostess acquiesced and said they’d do their best to accommodate us in the back of the restaurant. Our beverages and salads were very good. I ordered a pork entrée and my husband ordered a rib eye, cooked medium rare. My entrée was great, but my husband’s steak was prepared well done. When we told our waitress, she promptly brought the assistant manager over. He agreed that the steak was well done and said he’d get my husband another ASAP. He also said that they wouldn’t charge us for the steak. We were very impressed with the way things were handled and commented on it to one another. My husband’s steak arrived 15 minutes after I received my entrée and was cooked perfectly. At this point he wasn’t very hungry and he ate less than half of his steak. We brought more than half of the steak home to feed our dogs — not exactly the best use of a $ 38 rib eye! Having eaten our entrees separately, it was quite a bit of a disappointment(especially for a couple with a newborn who doesn’t get out all that often!) — but these things happen and we were understanding, especially since the assistant manager had offered to take the steak off of our check. Service was spotty — the waitress was very sweet but a bit flighty. She was slow and forgot things during the entire dinner(for instance we were never offered dessert!) When the check arrived, we were charged for the steak. We thought this was simply an oversight given the flightiness we’d experienced so far. When we pointed out the fact that we were erroneously charged for the steak to the waitress, she explained that they took my husband’s beer off the check, but billed us for the steak as that’s what the assistant manager told her to do. I walked up to the bar to calmly discuss the situation with the assistant manager who had an attitude from the get go. I couldn’t understand his change in tune! He was extremely condescending and kept calling me «honey» over and over again, despite the fact that I asked him repeatedly not to. He indicated that he never said he’d take the steak off the bill, despite that my husband and I both heard this very clearly. He agreed that it wasn’t a good experience for us given that we had to eat our entrees separately but explained they did their best that they could on such a busy night. I asked for his manager’s name and he refused to give it to me. This isn’t about the $ 38 — but if a manager offers something at an establishment of this calibar, our expectation is that he/she would follow through on their word. And then to be condescening, refuse to give me the name of his manager, and act rudely towards a female patron and have us leave with a bad taste in our mouth is not the way to manage a restaurant. That said, I want to share this experience with the Unilocal community. If you’re going to go out for a $ 200 dinner, be sure to frequent a restaurant that is more respectful to their clientele and is willing to fix their mistakes when they do happen.

Patrizia’s is off the beaten path in the Plymouth dining scene, and should remain that way. For appetizers, the calamari was rubbery, as if it had been sitting in a freezer for ages. I could’ve gotten the same prosciutto at Trader Joe’s, and the service was lacking — when asking the waitress what she recommended out of a two dishes, her response was«everything is good» and would not give more specifics. I went with the pork chop, which was — to start– incredibly dry. It was covered in a lame excuse for a balsamic reduction sauce, and served with a side of risotto that had over a stick of butter in it. The service and food here are both awful. Many other places to check out in Plymouth and Southeastern MA — dont waste your time and wallet!

PatriZia’s restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Very chic and attractive in all the right aspects. Upon entering it just shouted elegance and sexy. This place would rock in New York City. The service was very kind and attentive. Our server was on top of the table and maintained good distance without being over your head at all times. I did catch that one server said the special was glazed with a Barolo reduction and another server claimed it was glazed with a Montepulciano reduction, both great Italian grapes from separate regions. But they did present the food to be very pleasing and mouth watering, so don’t worry about it fellas. Great job with selling it! The food was good… Every entrée on the table was presented extremely beautiful. Plating was professional and clean. Absolutely Loved the use of all the different types and shapes of plates. The filet mignon came out gorgeous and seared to perfection… As did the tomato crusted sea bass that my company had. I was not very pleased with my entrée on the other hand, I had the boneless ribeye, which was alright I guess. I’m more of a bone in ribeye kind of guy, but that’s besides the point. The plate was very appealing, the tomato garnish was a great add on and have life to the dish. I felt as if the steak itself was of low quality in my opinion. Something I could have cooked myself after getting it from the supermarket. A little fatty, but hey, what would a ribeye be without its fat trimmings. And the pomme Frites where frozen steak fries… Crispy but I know they’re the frozen kind. I’m still giving this restaurant five stars for the impressive staff, beautiful service, and tasty food. Everybody on my table completely demolished their entrees and had nothing but satisfied looks on their faces. Keep up the great work and will definitely be back when in town! Hopefully to visit the mayflower and not that little pebble next to it. Try the filet mignon and seabass specials if they have them. Oh and the crab cake is a very generous portion for an appetizer and looked like it was all crabmeat. Must try

I just started working in Plymoth, and my coworker took me to Patrizia’s for a work lunch. What struck me first was the décor: clean, high-end but comfy, and the chairs did not match, but in a beautiful way. The service was wonderful. Our server, Samantha, was very smart and friendly, and she explained the dishes very well. The food was great. The bread was fresh and warm, with fresh olive oil. I ordered the day’s pasta special — salmon pappardelle pasta. If you are at this restaurant and see if’s the special, get it. Don’t think twice, even if you think you don’t like salmon. It was heaven. The dish consisted of broad, home-made noodles, tossed with melt-in-you-mouth buttery chopped salmon, a light creamy tomato sauce, and perfect amount capers so they did not overpower the dish. I really did not expect for such a nice place to be tucked in this touristy cluster of shops, but I’m glad my coworker showed me the light!

Extremely Disappointing was our dinning experience at Patrizia’s last night. Patrizia’s was once one of our favorite restaurants on the South Shore. Our meals were poorly prepared over cooked, service was slow and inconsistent. Portions were very small and highly priced.
