New Choi King Restaurant

This is the only Chinese restaurant in the Plymouth area that I have found that provides good food and service consistently.
Their website is pretty easy to order from. Their delivery has been very fast about 90% of the time. The staff is always pleasant when we pick up our order. My family usually orders just pu-​pu platter type items… nothing too fancy or difficult. Their lo-​mein is ok. They still give you rolls-​something that a lot of Chinese restaurants have stopped doing.
Is this the best Chinese food I’ve ever had? No. It is good Chinese food for the area I live in. I know that when I order from here that the food will be good, hot and delivered fast. I would say that the prices are average.

so… I’ve ordered takeout at least 7 times from new Choi king now, and while not the best Chinese food you may have had, its decently solid.
the staff, especially the woman who runs the counter, are very friendly and patient (they realize you cant understand them always lmao).
now, the food is just as advertised, Americanized Chinese food. nothing here is spectacular, but nothing has been gross either.
the only complaint I’ve ever had is the sweet and sour chicken is just chicken fingers with sweet and sour sauce ON THE SIDE!
i hope the staff reads that last comment and adjusts the way they make the sweet and sour (should be like general tso but not spicy…).
other than that the food was good enough to warrant me walking down a few times a month for a quick fix (i live a 3 minute walk away, and that’s why i give it repeated chances).
if you don’t feel like going downtown and braving the wind or tourists, this is a decent alternative to happy garden or Asia tasty.

We had beef with pea pods, shrimp chow mein, shrimp with cashews, pork fried rice and egg rolls. What we got was a lot of vegetables with almost no protein. I did not know that you could peel and devein shrimp smaller than my finger nail. Everything tasted as if they used the same sauce. WILL no go back again!

Great Chinese take-​out in Plymouth. From the food, to price, to delivery it can’t be beat! I just had the Singapore Rice Noodles and was very happy… add a special combo #29 with 3 appetizers and you are eating like a king!!!
