This place is not that great. The fried shrimp could use some more flavor and it was pretty pricey for what you get. My kids got pasta and sauce and that literally what it was pasta and then sauce. Weird.

The lobster roll was very good but I recommend getting the larger order. We ordered the small and it doesn’t come with much crab. The french fries were OK.

We were going to stop in to Wood’s for lunch, but they didn’t have room for a group of 7, so we stopped here. It must have been a sign. They had bigger tables and the AC was on. You order at the counter and we got through it quickly. Then our food was delivered quickly. Since we were in a hurry, it was greatly appreciated. The fried shrimp was perfect. Just enough batter without being too much and it was fried perfectly. The baked potato was a baked potato.

This was exactly as it was explained to me. Large scale fast food like with a view of the cove. The patio outside was nice. The weather was perfect this week. I was told the fish and chips were the best and they were good, but not really the best. If I am I the area with others, I would recommend lunch on the patio.

this is the best seafood place I’ve ever been, been coming here since I was a child, large portions, fresh, fast and simple. It’s not in any way fine dining but family friendly and you eat out on the patio if you’d like.

Self — service basically. You ordered, sit and wait for your number to be called. Husband and I went to lunch there. We had lobster mac and cheese. Dinky portion in a cardboard container. Really? How about a cardboard bowl or something? I felt like I was in high school again with that container. The only good thing about the place is that they allow pets on the patio.

This is my go-to dinner spot whenever I’m in Plymouth Center! Definitely one of my all time favorite sea food places; it is a lot more popular between May & September and they get packed! They have a nice outdoor dining area as well as their indoor dining room — the outside seating offers a great view so it’s perfect for a lunch out with the family or a date night with your significant other. I love their chowder & lobster bisque & they have an excellent broiled haddock plate! The Lobster Hut is also located right in the middle of a handful of shops & I definitely recommend you pop in and take a look inside and stop for an ice cream at Ziggy’s for dessert!

Great lobster roll, friendly service. Huge crowds but the staff was quick and got my order done to go while also helping a large bus arrival of tourists. Was recommended to go there by the staff at my hotel nearby. Was not dissapointed by the food, tasted fresh and not overpowering. Clean and simple.

THEBEST, cleanest, sweetest perfectly cooked fish you can get. No sandy clam bellies. The fish is so clean and delicious. I live over an hour away and will only go to lobster hut for my fried seafood plate. Amazing. Period.

I went there today and got the regular lobster roll and was very disappointed at the amount of lobster it comes with. I’ve tried lobster rolls all over MA and Rhode Island in this by far has been the most pathetic excuse for a lobster roll I have seen yet. Do yourself a favor and pass on the lobster roll.

Came into Plymouth after a long day driving around the coast this weekend. Lobster is a rare treat for me and my family, so we were enticed by the diner style eatery, didn’t look«overly fancy» or «too expensive.» So we went for it. Servers were really friendly, food was very delicious. However, getting the bill was a less than stellar experience; tired as we were, we glossed over the fine print that said«prices subject to change without notice.» As the stingy family that we are, we started crunching numbers from our menu to see why our total ended up being what it was, only to find that the cashier forgot to charge us for one of the meals, recharged us, and sent us into a calculator tizzy(this was before we let out an aggravated sigh at the«prices subject to change» line) We eventually asked for an itemized receipt, which kind of explained where our math discrepancies were. Regardless, we were still pretty miffed at the unexpected price hike in lobster. Why didn’t the menu just say«market price» instead of giving us a number $ 2.00 less than what we ended up paying? And not having an itemized receipt at first made us paranoid about the legitimacy of the«uncharged meal» they were claiming. They were nice enough to give us a breakdown without complaint, but the meal experience was kind of ruined by the stress at the dinner table over numbers we thought were already defined. All in all, it was an ok diner experience. Not recommended if you’re a weary traveler too tired to read the fine print on your menu before you order.

Eating alone can be awkward. Eating in a super large group next to someone you don’t like can be equally as awkward. Thankfully, you don’t have to feel awkward at Lobster Hut dining alone. Well, except when you stand at the counter to place your order and you just can’t decide and the girl is looking at you like COMEONALREADY! In any case, I was dining solo and I was looking for a spot to eat where I wouldn’t have to be that lone diner that a server takes pity on. Lobster Hut ended up being perfect. As mentioned above, you order and pay at the counter and when your food is up, they call your number and you pick up. It’s open seating which is nice. I opted for the fried scallop/clam strip combo with a baked potato. It was quite enjoyable and everything was perfectly hot, crisp and fresh. The workers were very friendly despite me arriving about 40 min before closing. I imagine this place gets pretty crowded in the warmer months, especially their outdoor seating area. This particular weekend in Plymouth was frickin freezing.

This place could be considered an upscale fast food. It has the look and feel of a fast food place, or even a county fair stand but was very clean, well lit, and pleasant. The prices were higher than fast food but less than a seafood place. That is expected, seafood is always expensive. I had the«whole clam» clam roll for $ 14.99 instead of the usually clam tail roll for $ 9.99. The whole clam roll was incredible, the best I’ve had. It was big enough that I ate a dozen clams or so with a fork before picking up the roll to eat by hand. The fries and corn chowder were average and could have used a bit more flavor. That is where a fancier restaurant would excel. However, having an excellent clam roll in clean settings overlooking the harbor was worth a lot.

Wonderful view of the harbor, nice people and our food was Delish. Lobster roll was outstanding. Fried oysters were great. And the chowdah too. Beer list was short and too the point. Wish they had local beers. Also wish they didn’t use so much styrofoam and plastics.

The pilgrims ate here, right? Lobster Hut has very delicious seafood and is a safe bet if you’re looking to get your fix, say, after a long sea voyage to religious freedom. Or if you’re buying merch in gift shops. Whatever! On my visit, my group enjoyed fantastic lobster rolls, fried seafood, and pristine views of the harbor. In the fried seafood platter, everything was cooked perfectly: the scallops were nice and tender, the fish was flaky, and everything was crisp, golden brown. It also comes with nice and crunchy fried clams and fried shrimp, coleslaw, and french fries. The lobster roll was really great, too. The lobster meat was cooked just right, not overdone, and just coated with some mayonnaise. The split-top roll was nicely buttered and grilled on the outside. By the way, there are two lobster rolls on the menu, jumbo and regular. The location is great and there is ample parking around, which is metered, though also takes credit/debit. Convenient! We also enjoyed very nice customer service when ordering. If I had to point out any downside with Lobster Hut, it would only have to be the outdated look of everything. I’m sure it all looked great in 1620, but everything could stand have a top-to-bottom renovation. Other than that, Lobster Hut is one of the finest lobster roll and fried seafood places around!

Really nice view on the back patio, but food was just OK. This spot follows a similar format as other seafood joints in the area– order at the counter and come back to pick up your food. I liked the casual feeling of Lobster Hut. They also have a massive menu with pretty decent prices. My husband and I shared a broiled seafood platter. It came with lobster claws, broiled shrimp and broiled fish, along with cole slaw and French fries. It was a good amount of food for about $ 14. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a big fan of this meal. It was just meh. I feel like this is definitely one of those places where people just coming back because they’ve been coming for generations. Nothing wrong with that, but definitely not recommended for a first time visitor.

The Lobster Hut is one of my favorite seafood spots in Massachusetts! Everything is so fresh. I usually always get the clam strips which are hands down the best I’ve had, but the broiled seafood is great as well. They also have options for non seafood fans as well. The tables are always clean and staff is always friendly. It’s not fancy by any means but it’s perfect for a quick meal.

The fried clams were sweet, small, tender, and fried to perfection. The fries were good but not as good as the clams. The haddock plate had about 4 oz of excellent broiled fish. The baked potato was truly baked and served with butter snd sour cream. The cole slaw, which also came with the fried clam plate, was above average. Fair pricing. Cheaper than boston or cape cod. Easy lot parking and quick clam shack type service. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating overlooking plymouth habor. Self serve with trays you pick up at yhe counter when they call your number. A family favorite for years.
