Not a bad place actually. The Guiness was good. We ordered hot lobster rolls. They were good and not too pricey.

Waited 40 minutes for our appetizers. Although the waitress was nice enough, didn’t come over til 35 minutes in to say they were coming. 5 minutes after getting the appetizers, our meals came. So annoying! Both the appetizer and meals were lukewarm. I had the fried chicken sandwich, and it wasn’t that good. My friend got the chicken Caesar salad, and she likes it. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Bloody Mary’s are excellent! Good selection of craft beers as well. Tried an oyster shooter it was pretty good only complaint is that it could have been more chilled. They have a large menu with a little bit of everything on it. Very easy to find something you would like. The California chicken club sandwich is amazing!

The staff are not overly friendly June 17 at lunch time. And, there were only a few patrons in the restaurant. Waiter comes over but walks away and then the hostess says he’s off to look for a table. He does not come back but is chatting with 2 wait staff. The hostess kind of shrugs and takes us to a table. We ordered the spicy chicken taco salad and the black bean burger. This is the weirdest not really a taco salad I’ve ever had. Just sloppy cook fair. The black bean burger was greasy. Won’t ever be back.

Amazing! Food is delicious and atmosphere is super fun! We hosted a cocktail party the night before our wedding, went back with guests after our wedding, and ate at least 2 other times during our week in Plymouth. Tabitha and the staff did such a wonderful job and we couldn’t be happier!!!

Very delicious and fresh seafood! The salmon was flaky and so fresh. Nice presentation and the atmosphere was very nice with views of the bay. Our server was extremely personable and attentive. I would definitely go back when in town.

I’m been to Tavern on the Wharf more than half a dozen times now. The first was for lunch and it was by far the best experience I’ve had there. So good that I had a new favorite restaurant. Sad to say, this status has changed over the course of 12 months. The last 2 visits to this restaurant, which were the worst ever, were within the april/may 2016 timeframe. One time I sat at the bar for sunday lunch. The bartender seemed preoccupied socializing with her friends who were also customers at the bar. A quick hello, let me get you something, have a laugh later would have been acceptable. But she was serving her friends rather than her other customers(16+ people) the whole time. Lets get to the food. We ordered plain chicken tenders with multiple dipping sauces(the mango sauce is my favorite!), instead we received tossed chicken wings. I had ordered a turkey club and received a chicken BLT. Thought about refusing the plate but why would I wait another 20 minutes for probably another mistake. Good food, just lousy service. Another time, we were seated right next to the band… I’m not hairing impaired so why am I right up against the speakers? We asked for a new table, the hostess looked at us as if she took offense to this, we sat around for 10 more minutes… by this time NOSERVICE! We left the restaurant and decided to go elsewhere. Tavern, we gave you a chance, but you are like that greedy friend who takes advantage of others. Goodbye.

Went there today for lunch. Drinks weren’t anything special. Food was delicious, however the service was beyond terrible. My server never came to check on how the food was. I only ate ½ of my $ 22 salad, and she took it and didn’t even ask if I wanted to box it up. Drinks and food took forever to get, even though it wasn’t busy. Would rather go next door to east bay! wish I could just rate based on the food.

I have gone to Tavern on the Wharf several times and we all loved what we ordered. The fish sandwich(which used to be haddock and now cod) was delicious and so were the fries. We loved the cobb salad. The steak tips were cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes tasted like home cooked, as well. Going for a birthday celebration and looking forward to a great meal and casual atmosphere. Bravo!

Attended a birthday party which was in the back room, rented and paid for just for us. I accidentally left my debt card there. I called the next day when they opened, I called several times, before leaving a voicemail, which was never returned. I was then told by a friend who was at the Bday party several people left there cards there but when they went there at opening, the manager told them there were no cards left there under the given names. I immediately thought this was weird cuz as of I, know that this person is responsible and if they say they left there card, I’m sure they did. So now a bit worried and unsettled by this news I immediately got in my car and drove down there. Well I’ve never been so insulted in my life! Not only by the hostesses, who told me my card wasn’t there but by the manager! Who told me I must have drank to much and don’t remember closing my acct out and taking my card with me. So I left believing them, maybe I did mis place it. I got in my car called my friend and they told me several other people also left there cards there. This isn’t right I thought and I got back out of my car and went back in. This time I asked to talk to the manager immediately and as I waited I told the hostess I wasn’t the only one who forgot there cards here last night and I know for a fact I did not close my acct out cuz I would remember, I 100% know I left my card here and I’m going to report this to the police. Well I kid u not seconds later the manager comes around the corner with my debit card and several others! She again insulted me and said I must of had way to much fun last night and laughed, like it was my fault she misplaced them??? I asked her if I could take my friends cards, cuz at this point I don’t trust her one bit but she said she couldn’t give them to me so I asked her who’s she had. Well the friend who came in before I did she had it! I also asked about another person and she said that ones not in the pile of debt cards in her hand. I immediately got on the phone and told my friend to let everyone know to come down asap cuz they do have them and something really wrong is goin on here, don’t waste anytime just get there before they go «missing» again. Well when I got home I opened up the unsigned receipt she gave me and she accidentally gave me 2, one that was mine and another unsigned receipt. This receipt was for the friend I was asking about that she claimed wasn’t there! I highly DONOT recommend opening a tab there cuz your card may go missing! I’m also still contemplating reporting this to the police just incase this happens again to someone else it’ll already be on record. I’ve lived here my entire life and I am a local to downtown, do not go to this place! I give it and the manager 0 stars. She’s a thief.

Atmosphere was kinda off to me and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Probably wouldn’t go back unless someone else wanted to go there.

Whoever the investor of this place is insane. They are located in the wharf in Plymouth waterfront and they only serve fish and chips and clam chowder? Whoever owns this doesn’t understand New England. I would stay far away from this place. I was there today and the bartender was too busy chatting with that one local to serve me.

So I live in Plymouth and have eaten in most better restaurants in town. First time at Tavern on the Wharf. Our waitress Paula was awesome! We said«Maybe we would like to try the X» She said«Hmm if I were you I would consider the Y» She was right on the wine, right on the cod with the spinach and risotto(and I thought no one could make risotto as good as mine) She said they make their own buratta(the creamiest cheese ever) the tomato sauce(all home made) and basil were awesome — better than Cowgirl Creamery in SF. Also a great large cocktail. and graet beet salad. Plus when we told Paula we were sharing all 3 items — she had the kitchen serve the salad and fish in two separate plates. Will be back for sure.

A divine spot right on the wharf. The food is wonderful & so is the personable service. The décor is totally Plymouth, Cape Cod style. It’s a more upscale or finer seafood option in the same vicinity as others. The atmosphere makes for good feelings, so doesn’t the Sangria. A perfect menu for lunch or dinner. The onion rings are cooked thinner fried style which was different. I’m a fish and chip snob but I liked the different fried style. Definitely worth a try in the daytime to watch the boats & waterfront activities.

I would like to give 5 stars the amazing service that was provided. I went with a group of about 40 students from our University. We had finished a conference & headed there to eat. The staff already knew we were coming in advance but they were very patient with all of us and did the very best to provide the services we need when getting all our orders correct. I ordered the steak with asparagus & I will give it 3 stars. It was a bit overcooked but the mashed potatoes on the side & aspargus were good. It wasn’t anything I had never eaten before but being my first time in Plymouth, I had a good evening.

So here’s the thing… we loved our server. If it had been up to me, there would have been a bit of kerfuffle over a seriously lame — like unbelievably lame — Caprese salad. MAYBE an ounce of mozzarella — and that’s a generous estimate — on some«heirloom»(ithey were colorful, I give them that) tomatoes for $ 14. So if you’re going, avoid the caprese salad! My husband opted for« Unilocaling them» rather than complaining, so here goes… It took forever for that ridiculously lame salad to arrive at our table. I know this wasn’t to do with our server who was solicitously and surreptitiously checking in on us and glancing toward the kitchen in anticipation. Abysmal wait time for a simple salad. Folks seated after us had their entrees, and there we sat, still waiting for a pile of tomato and mozzarella. I began to think they’d sent out for a cow to milk, until it arrived and the pitiful quantity of cheese disproved that theory. Maybe they were waiting for summer for the tomato? I ordered baked haddock, and was stunned when it arrived coated in red bbq potato chips. Now, I expected chips, since the description said«kettle potato chip crust», but bbq flavor? Really? On haddock? The chips killed any flavor the fish might have had on it’s own which is truly sad because the texture of the fish was excellent. The chips rendered the entire plate nearly inedible with this awful fake bacon smoke flavor. When I think«kettle chips» on fish I think salty, potato-y balance, not overwhelming bbq. But maybe that’s just me… or maybe… No — it isn’t just me — because my husband ordered the«marinated steak tips» and was served some sugar-soaked teriyaki wannabe beef, at nowhere near his requested doneness of «medium rare». They were mooing from the plate — I know because I could hear them from my side of the table. That said, he loved the mashed potatoes. In good, true Yankee form he doused the tips in potato and moved on with the meal. Plus, the beer was $ 3. That helped. When the bill came I almost had a heart attack and requested that we complain — had I known the caprese was $ 14-freakin-bucks you can bet your butt the salad would have gone back. But no, the man hates a scene, so asked me to save my temper for Unilocal. And there it is. Did I mention I had to wear my jacket for most of the meal because I was freezing to death? Yeah. That, too. So, to sum it up: If you are going to drink a lot, go, because you will be too blitzed to care and the stuff will fill you up and slow that booze from hitting your brain. But if you have a palate, I’d skip it and try Anna’s Harbourside next door.

Went here on a Thursday evening around 8 pm. The place was empty, we sat outside and were sat at a table in a very dim lit area, we asked to move and that was fine. Drinks were great, beer selection was great. Chowder and buffalo chicken dip were phenomenal. The fish and chips, not so much. The fish and batter were a bit over cooked. The fries were soggy. Overall good experience, loved the décor, loved the music. It was nice there wasn’t much of a crowd but it would be nice to see the place a bit busier! Give this place a chance! I will be going back soon.

Seafood perfection. Great menu with a huge variety of items. My friend and I sat outside and it was quite lovely. I had a strawberry rhubarb mule and it was fantastic — the right mixture of alcohol and berry taste. They had a very nice beer and alcohol selection. My friend had a Cape Cod Reuben and it was huge and oh so fresh. The sweet potato fries were yummy. I went with the Plymouth combo which had huge scallops, fried clams, calamari, shrimp and a huge piece of haddock(all fried). So big that we shared it and took the sandwich home. Prices were very good for the quality of food and the amount. Our waitress was lovely and made sure we had plenty of tartar sauce. We’re definitely returning the next time we’re in the area.

Tavern on the Wharf, which just opened a few days ago, is going to be the hot spot this summer in Plymouth. The whole interior was completely renovated and looks amazing. The views of Plymouth bay, and the passing boats, are spectacular. This Tavern has a very comfortable, yet refined south shore feel. All of the dishes were fresh and delicious, and there’s certainly something on the menu for everyone. The staff was extremely friendly and well trained. Having eaten at all of the major establishments in Plymouth, it’s safe to say Tavern on the Wharf is the best option for a great all-around dinner experience.
