All you can eat sushi is what is advertised here, and not that I wanted to come in an bankrupt the ocean(see what I did there?) anyway, it’s sushi, it’s good, and its just a bit smaller than regular sushi. Smaller/thinner cuts of tuna, a fifth of a crab stick, a smaller shrimp, you get the picture. Now if you look at my photos you see, that as long as you limit your tickets to two, you can have every roll on the menu, rolls are filled with mostly veggies, I had a roll called a Godzilla that was tempura fried rice, there was supposed to be «fish mix» inside, couldn’t find any. There are rainbow and dragon rolls, with very thin slices of fish. So don’t get me wrong, if you have the guts you could order every roll and 8(the limit) pieces of Nigiri and if you can do it with a straight face you could literally kill yourself with sushi. Most of us have dignity and surely that’s what they count on. They also count on you ordering a coke for $ 1.50 then they ask you every 8 seconds if you want a refill. I said yes and they came out with a can.(knew I’d see that on the bill, yep $ 1.50 a pop) Anyway it’s assembly line sushi they have 5 chefs cranking it out, service is fast, staff if nice(especially if you want a refill) but for $ 23 on the weekends plus $ 3 for a coke, not a fan, but I can say I tried it.

We stopped in here rather late one evening about 9 pm. We both ordered the all you can eat sushi. We were allowed to bring in our own beer which is a huge plus for DIPA fans like me and my BF. The food was fresh, delicious and we will definitely be back.

All you can eat sushi. The restaurant is a bit small, so if you have a large party — call ahead. The sushi was fine. It did not come with wasabi or ginger which was a bummer but we didnt ask for it. Maybe next time.

This place has good sushi but terrible service. I’ve ordered to go and been very satisfied but while going there to sit down, the waitstaff ignored us and when I asked if we could take our food to go because it was taking so long I was told«no, you should have ordered more when we were at the table the first time and that its lunch time». Any successful restaurant should never use the excuse of a regular meal time to postpone service. Then when asked if our next rolls would be ready soon I was told«I hope so». If I were you I’d just order take out and cut your losses.

This place is unassuming yet completely satisfying. I’m so excited to have found it. I’m a sucker for a good bento box and was not let down. The run down plaza really makes you rethink entering — but do it, clean interior and your standard frazzled sushi waitress await with crave worthy eats. My bento box was perfection, the asparagus spears were a great added touch. The sushi seemed about as good fresh-frozen-fresh as you’re going to get in these parts. Only down fall? They don’t serve salad with the traditional ginger dressing found in Japanese restaurants, it was good dressing — just not my bright orange goodness that I could drink by the glass full.

The food herd is very very good and I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi. The only reason I hesitate to give 5 stars is because of the atmosphere. The employees tend to not always have the best attitude for a waiter/waitress and it is usually very packed. So if you do not get there early enough you will be waiting for a table because it is very small inside. But overall the food is very delicious and has never disappointed me!

I was there tonight with my wife and two girls, first, we told them from the beginning that my youngest daughter has a tree nuts allergy. and the first thing they did was they gave her sesame seeds on her Noodles. second, the orders were wrong. third, they gave the bill before we even finish our meal! Food is bad, service is bad, and the place is filthy.

I’ve been to sushi house two times. The food was fantastic each time. Unfortunately, the service I had both times was borderline abysmal. I went to eat at sushi house for the second time yesterday, August 16th. I went with two friends. We walked in and were seated quickly. We all ordered from the regular menu. They order two rolls each and I ordered one Godzilla roll. My friends got their rolls within an reasonable time frame, maybe 15 minutes. To my surprise, I did not. I assumed my roll required an extra step,(I.e. Being deep fried) but I later learned that this was not the case. I continued to wait, I began to grow frustrated after 30 minutes of waiting. My friends had already finished one of their rolls and the waiter had passed by our table multiple times without updating me on the status of the roll. The biggest insult to me occurred when the waiter came to our table and handed me the«all you can eat» menu. I looked at it and struggled to keep my composure. I had already ordered. It was as though he completely forgot about my Godzilla roll. I handed it back to him and he walked away. After 10 more more minutes of waiting I asked him if my Godzilla roll was almost done. At this point he went over to the chefs and told them to make the roll, in other words, he completely forgot about my order. I thought the fact that I had been sitting at a table for 45 minutes without food would have been a clue but I guess not. I would forgive him for this mishap had it not been for the fact that the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. There were perhaps 5 other couples/groups aside from us between 3 waiters. The waiter did apologize me upon bringing the roll over to me but by this time I wasn’t interested in apologies. By this time both of my friends had finished their second rolls. After a full hour of waiting finally got the roll. I ate it in complete frustration. Again, the food was great but it didn’t cover up the fact that the service was inexcusable. I expected my waiters«sorry» to carry over to the check. I would assume he would have acknowledged his blunder and acted accordingly. In my eyes my roll should have been a free roll. I’ve been to sushi restaurants that have given me a free roll just for making the wrong roll, WITHOUT, the hour wait time I had to endure. The customer service here is enough to prevent me from coming back a third time. If you want try sushi house sushi, order take out and save yourself the trouble I endured.

The buffet style sushi has a item cap, so don’t get to ahead of yourself if you’re trying to try out a lot of stuff(max is two sheets/list per person. Use your friend’s sheet if you max out on something). Off the bat, the food is good. The seaweed salad is great(very bright green and crunchy: signs of freshness). The service was meh. Make sure you write your name ALL over the sheet(the waitress/staff really have trouble keeping track and end up just going table to table asking if your ordered«______»). Have clean handwriting and read the limit or Miya(I believe is the manager) will call you out on it and they do not forgive(even if they are mistaken on reading your number and will charge you extra if it goes uneaten). I have witnessed and had myself been reminded of this. I understand the restaurant business can be difficult but the image that Miya paints for herself is depressing when stressed. NutShell: food is good, but limited. Service is not so great(better to come when there is not so much ppl eating so they can function better).

I’d never experienced the joys of all-you-can-eat sushi before, and this place came highly recommended, so I came here with a large group to celebrate the end of exams. We made a reservation for a large table on a weekday, and it was all ready to go when we got there. We were quickly overwhelmed by all the choices, but the waitstaff gave us good advice on how much to order and even managed to talk some of us down from ordering what would have amounted to an insane amount of food. First, the sushi. It’s not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it’s perfectly serviceable. I ordered four different special rolls from the list of choices, and my favorite was the Samurai Roll. My least favorite was a roll that came with a fried banana on top. I forget the name, but it was too sweet and not my cup of tea. The Godzilla roll was also a favorite at my table. My boyfriend ordered a giant plate of more traditional sushi, and enjoyed it, even if he agreed that it wasn’t the best sushi. However, what I actually liked more than the sushi was the appetizers! Between my friends and I, we tried most of them, and for the most part, they were quality dishes. Standouts of the night were the seaweed salad, which was the best seaweed salad I’ve ever had at a Japanese restaurant, and the hibachi noodles, which were flavorful, chewy, and gloriously greasy. The gyoza were also well-fried and something I would order again. Appetizers to skip would be the shumai, which were your standard frozen shrimpy bites, and the chicken katsu, which bore little resemblance to the perfectly crispy battered chicken that it should be. For dessert, we all ordered the ice cream, which came served as just the right portion. Both the red bean and green tea ice creams were the perfect end to our meal. At $ 20 per person, it’s definitely not a cheap dinner, but it’s probably the best bang for your buck if you can put away a serious amount of sushi. I had about 6 appetizers(which were partly shared with friends), 4 special rolls all to myself, and an order of ice cream for dessert. At a normal sushi restaurant, that would run me up at least $ 50 – 60, so I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth. For the guys in our group who put away even larger portions, this is even more so. One big gripe and warning to others though: The restaurant has a policy where each person only gets to put in two all-you-can-eat orders, probably to keep people from putting in order after order and eating them out of business. This led to a lot of panic in our group where people tried to ensure that they got their money’s worth by ordering as much as they could in their first order. The waitstaff nipped that in the bud by telling us to revise our orders, as the amount that was ordered was ridiculous. We ended up being thankful that they did that, but at the same time, I think Sushi House’s two-order-per-person policy ends up hurting them more than anything. People over-order because they don’t want to end up hungry at the end, and at the same time, Sushi House can’t accurately claim that they offer all-you-can-eat sushi when it’s actually all-you-can-eat-in-two-orders. Either way, I recommend trying this place out, and I’d go back, but overall, I prefer my standby sushi restaurant(Sono Bana in Hamden).

I can’t get enough of this place! Great quality and the best AYCE I’ve ever been to. Everything is reasonably priced and tastes fresh and delicious. My favorites are the Gyoza, Clear Soup, Volcano Roll, Salmon Mango, Eel Avocado, and the Dragon Roll. Remember to save room for the green tea or red bean ice creams as well! So tasty. If you can arrive early, or go Monday thru Wednesday, you’ll have a better experience– less waiting at the door and for your food. Mia is a rockstar and always makes sure we are taken care of. Occasionally, the other waitstaff is hit or miss but recently everyone has been great.

As good as it gets for all you can eat sushi. Highest quality around. Excellent sashimi. Very good variety of rolls. Never disappointed here, in contrast to all the other«all you cans» around CT. Also, the Manager«Mia» is an All-Star!

Where do I start? I absolutely love Sushi! But I absolutely dislike the Sushi House. If you have a party over 4 people, disregard going here Thursday-Sunday due to an over crowded atmosphere that you would find in most Asian American all you can eat dining experiences. We were told for our party of 6 we would need to set a reservation a day in advance — no problem! We did quite enthusiastically for 8PM Saturday night, but we waited nearly 30 minutes after 8 to finally be seated(yes, we arrived 15 minutes early for a full wait time of 45 minutes with a reservation). The quality is absolutely hit or miss. Sone things are just to die for — the gyoza, Miso, and veggie tempura are highlights of the appetizers, but skip the bland flavorless Kani salad, overly salted edamame and tasteless hibachi noodles(though the noodles did smell like delicious bacon). Rolls are fantastic — but everyone that wants to visit should keep in mind that if you are eating from the All You Can Eat menu, they only give you 2 sheets to fill out — which leads to another complaint! I’ve been here a few times before, and they encourage you to fill out your sheets with everything you like, often leading to orders of 5+ items on your paper ticket. This is good in theory but the execution is way off. Often I have not gotten half my order as was with this last trip. I ordered 4 sushi rolls, and only received 2! Good for me though, as I was full halfway through the second and easily dodged a surplus charge if I didn’t eat it all. Yes, that’s right, if you don’t eat all your food at an all you can eat restaurant — you will be charged an additional $ 5 – 10 dollars. Just cause. In the end, avoid Sushi House, go to Wens Asian Fusion in Naugatuck for a far better experience and unparalleled quality.

Good prices, friendly staff, and good service. The sushi was good quality and came in 15 minutes. It was very busy on a Thursday night and it was nice to be able to bring our own wine. Suggested visit.

The sushi was fantastic, no doubt, but the service was horrendous. It was my first time there with a group of friends– I was given the list in which I made a few mistakes; after fixing the mistakes, one male server was extremely rude towards me, telling me that I would not be able to finish the amount that I chose– but a wairess, than goodness, quickly saw what was happening and grabbed the menu quickly before anything could escalate. Not only did I finish my own plate, I also finished a friend’s plate as well. After finishing the sushi, the waitress gave us a check without asking if we had wanted dessert or another paper for more food. I will not be visiting this particular establishment after this rude encounter.

Used to be my favorite sushi restaurant in the area, especially for all you can eat. Suddenly their definition of «All you can eat» changed. Now it’s «All You Can Eat But You Have To Order Circling Items On A Paper Menu And You Can Only Have 2.» This wouldn’t be a major problem if everything you circle actually arrives. Sadly, you’d be lucky if you see half of the items you picked on your first menu. Then, when the second menu arrives, you fill in the missing items from your first and you are officially done in the eyes of Sushi House. The fact that they continue to promote themselves as All You Can Eat is false advertising. If you try to talk to management about this very rude change, you will be greeted by silence as the place is usually too small and the wait staff spread way too thin to take care of any guest reasonably. Horrible service and false advertising are two very big strikes against them. Sadly, the quality of their food(especially the sushi) is quickly thrown under the bus by mismanagement.

I gave this place another chance and it was much improved. They do limit ordering to 2 sheets but unless you have two stomachs and can’t plan ahead it should be adequate. Brown rice still takes much longer so be mindful.

If you’re going for the all you can eat option you are definitely in for a treat. They offer a wide variety of rolls and will even customize them for you if you nor a request on the order slip. One roll that I originally situated with caution but now highly recommend is the roll with fried banana on it, so tasty! Another plus is that this restaurant is BYOB, liquor store right next door. The only reason I do not give this place 5 stars is because there were a couple dishes that didn’t seem to be the greatest quality, for example the unagidon. If you stick with the rolls and other standard menu items you’ll definitely be pleased!

Great place to come for lunch lovers. Lunches are all you can eat sushi. Not a fan that they changed the ordering to only 8 pcs of sushi/sashimi per order sheet. Otherwise this place is a 4 stars, and it is byob. And there is a liquor store next door too.

Had a really good meal here with friends. We were a large group and although we called ahead we did have to wait a while, but they were helpful and put a few tables together for us. Most of us did the all you can eat menu, which is great but dangerous :) You have a paper that you use to check off everything you want(there are limits on some things), and you get to use two sheets(so you have to do a bit of planning). I enjoyed everything I had, which included some sashimi, some of the specialty rolls, the salad with ginger dressing, and the red bean ice cream. I also love that it’s a BYOB. There’s a package store next door if you end up needing more!
