If you live near the area you absolutely must try Lou’s for breakfast! Everything tastes so fresh and the wait is short(although I’ve never been here on the weekend). My favorite dish is the eggs Benedict with tomato and spinach and can’t forget the delicious home fries. This is my go to favorite breakfast spot!

The Best Home Fries I’ve ever had… Went for breakfast and had a mix of pancakes, waffles, and omelets and was fantastic. Great portions for the price and service was fast and friendly, definitely going back!

Small hole in the wall with amazing food! Very casual. The custom omelette was amazing. My friend had a sloppy joe omelette that she loved. They have iced coffee which is great, keep in mind it’s no Starbucks but it’s a great addition to breakfast. The home fries are amazing! We were in and out on a Saturday for brunch… Good service!

Stopped in because of the reviews on Unilocal and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was good, the service very attentive and the costs are extremely reasonable.

Worth it. 2 adults and 4 kids for brunch. Small place and only two waitresses. Took a bit to get the food but well worth the wait. Not only do we not have any complaints about the food but it was superior. Clean and friendly but don’t be in a rush. 6 of us, $ 50 with tip so you get what you pay for. We will be back for sure.

The food here is solid and the prices are completely fair for what you get. I went here yesterday and got banana bread french toast with a side of biscuits and gravy. I also tried my friends pancake and his omelet. So I can say with confidence that this place is going to get very popular very quickly. The banana bread french toast was the best french toast I’ve ever had at a restaurant, the buttermilk pancake is light and fluffy, the omelet is cooked perfectly(it annoys me to no end when I get burnt eggs at a diner), and the biscuits and gravy were pastie and under seasoned(I make my own and am extremely bias). The service here is great and the food came out fast. The coffee surprisingly is pretty decent for a diner. This place has superior food quality and relatively the same price to the Pepper pot and Grace’s diner(both also in southington). Its just much smaller and will likely be filling up soon. One thing that really stood out to me was the specials menu. There was a great variety and they used many things that were in season. I will be back soon.

So let’s just say I love this place! The breakfast is phenomenal and extremely inexpensive. They always have the best specials and the food never disappoints. Their omelettes are absolutely fantastic. During my last visit they had a ratatouille omelet. The grilled vegetables were cooked to perfection and topped of with fresh mozzarella cheese, in my opinion it doesn’t get much better than that! The hash browns are unparalleled to any others I have had, they are crispy and well seasoned. I would definitely recommend a visit to Lou’s, you won’t regret it!

We just enjoyed an AMAZING breakfast experience at this WONDERFUL restaurant! The food was AWESOME and the service from Liane was equally OUTSTANDING! The 3 of us each tried a unique muffin and all were FANTASTIC! The meals were large and FABULOUS! Even the coffee and toast were of the highest quality! This was our first visit but we will return again SOON! EXCEPTIONAL!!!

Corned beef hash is homemade and amazing. All the food people were eating at other tables looked really good, not your typical greasy spoon. Service was stellar from Kim our server. Finally a good breakfast option on this side of Southington.

I went here for breakfast this morning with my boyfriend and I was really happy with the decision. The breakfast menu is great. There are a lot of different things to choose from, but it’s not overwhelming and there are some unique options on there too. I got a special which was the apple sausage pancakes with apple cider syrup. The syrup was delicious and they hit the spot. I fully plan on returning again soon because I’d like to try other things I saw on the menu.

I own the salon across the street so we are always looking for great food to eat that is fresh and healthy and let me just say that for a new business, Lous is amazing! Their breakfast is always fresh and delicious and we have never been disappointed. I highly recommend for someone looking for a fast fresh breakfast with very nice service staff. Lous is an awesome new addition to Southington! PS their coffee is amazing too!

Just had breakfast, good prices, food was good, ham was a thick slice and good portion size. Looking around at the back and it was a mess unorganized, waitress was harsh. Very loud. Pretty much this is what turned me off to this place. I won’t be back because of that, your only as good as the front of your house. Food and prices were good just the service. And what’s with that tattoo?

This was my 2nd trip to Lou’s breakfast. On the first occasion I arrived with two other friends. The business had just opened recently and they were mainly serving breakfast. We had arrived 20mins before closing and felt a bit of tension when we arrived so close to closing time. Since we all felt the same feeling we opted to get breakfast sandwiches and had them to go. While waiting for our to go sandwiches we discussed other menu items and one of the waitresses overheard us talking about the tuscan homefries in which she stated they were very spicy as if we wouldn’t like them. Needless to say I expected a new business to be more enthusiastic about its food and its customers regardless of when they arrive. On the 2nd occasion I went with my fiancé. We both had the sausage gravy and biscuits special. This dish came with two eggs and regular homefries. My fiancé grew up in Vermont in which country gravy and biscuits was a regular item for breakfast. Our meals arrived and I was a bit taken back as the gravy had an orange reddish shade instead of the typical white gravy. I chalked this up as possibly the addition of paprika into the gravy as often sausages like chorizo and pepperoni have lots of paprika. The sausage in the gravy was a bit gritty with some harder fatty bits in my fiances. Not too pleasant to say the least. To top this off my fiances scrambled eggs had a long hair in it and the head chef was bald. Odd and yet not appetizing. The homefries were under seasoned as well. Bland potato. Luckily our table had salt and pepper. Amazing what a dash of salt can do. Same went for the eggs. No salt no pepper and lacked in flavor. The side of bacon we had however was cooked perfectly and had no complaints with that. The service on this occasion was much better then the first as well but needless to say they need a bit more quality control on the food as the items on the menu have potential and should taste well when properly seasoned.

Me and my better half just discovered this place a couple of weeks ago, and this is my 3rd visit already. The food is fantastic. Everything is fresh, well made and delicious. The owner Mike is an extremely nice guy and an amazing cook and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If the Tuscan Home Fries are available do yourself a favor and GETTHEM — absolutely amazing. The fresh fruit is fantastic also — it’s a minor miracle to get such great fruit at this time of year in CT.

I will say, for a hole in the wall place, a group of us were pretty impressed. It has an older feel to it, kinda old fashioned, but it works. We stopped in on a Saturday am with five people. Someone else had eaten here already and suggested it. I have added a few photos to get an idea of the presentation but over all we were all very happy and satisfied with our meals. I have a feeling the the one star post from September is bias. One person ordered Eggs Benedict which was very good. Great version of the Benedict sauce. I had the stuffed french toast with canoli and marmalade. This was a great dish and totally would recommend. It almost didn’t need syrup. Waffles, eggs, etc were ordered and everyone was happy. Coffee was fresh, the waitstaff was very nice and it offers outside seating that was filled by the time we left. I look forward to returning.
