This is a GREAT place to see a movie! Delicious snack options, proper coffee, a cute little café area with comfortable seating, and multiple screens showing the slightly less popular releases. It seems quite new, so everything is modern and clean. However, it’s also incredibly popular. I was in there on a Tuesday morning and it was a full house. It’s the most crowded I’ve ever seen a movie theater on a Tuesday morning. Free parking in the entire area for The Shops at Legacy.

It’s a great theater and not a Mega theater like they have all seem to become. We went to see a main stream movie hear and I think that this place is probably a 5 star to someone into Indy films and foreign films. I would say this place caters to the more artistic/drama/performance crowd vs the Avengers crowd :) I don’t mean that in a bad way at all either, I love both. The film and sound was HD and Dolby. It was a clean theater with stadium seating and they serve wine/beer/coffee. I would definitely go back and want to try an Indie film someday. Easy access from the free parking garage as well!

This is my favorite theatre is Plano. The staff is always so nice and the film selection is much better than your too large cineplex. The showing rooms are just the right size for the screen as not to completely ingulf or disorient you like so many other places.

This is a great theater that is located in the shops of Legacy. Parking is a little difficult on the weekends. Although, there is a great parking garage nearby. We snagged a spot on the top floor after searching for twenty minutes around the area. Our theater was lightly attended and the seats were comfortable. They have a concession stand with a variety of goodies. You have the typical popcorn drenched in butter. Then, they have some more goodies that appear to be more homemade. I enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back.

Love the ambience and the types of movies shown here, versus regular theaters. The independent films are not always ones you would get to see. And they are very interesting.

very stylish theatre I must say! I only drive this far when i have specials to come see a movie, or a free screening. The dart station stop is right here so that is just perfect. Their food selection is a bit more gourmet than your regular movie theatre so I like that as well. Of course the price is a bit up there, since you are paying for the theatre look! The seats are at an ok comfy level, and the movie screen is average.

I have been here a few times over the years to catch an indie flick. This particular location has been around for a while. It’s a really nice, clean, well kept theater with a well stocked concession area. Grab a glass of vino, find your seat and enjoy the film. There’s lots of places to dine in the area too so you can totally make a dinner and a movie date night out of it! When I have been it has usually been laid back as well and not overly crowded. Park in the parking garage and it’s a quick and easy walk to the theater.

Overall, the Angelika is a good theater to check out smaller/indie flicks in the Plano area. THUMBSUP — Beer and wine — Good popcorn — Comfortable seating(although you might get a bit cozier with your neighbors than you’d like) — Good picture and sound — They appear to do a number of feature and special showings THUMBSDOWN — Parking is a pain in the ass at the Shops at Legacy Overall, it’s a clean and modern theater that generally has a good selection of films to check out.

The theater is fine but getting here is a huge pain. Not enough parking and 50% of their huge parking garage is reserved. Just not worth it. Also, the movie time online said 2 but it really started at 130. No movie today.

As a film junkie and huge supporter of independent film, I am absolutely in love with the Angelika. Located in the heart of the Shops at Legacy, it’s the perfect place for an artsy girl like me to be taken to on a date. Walk over there hand in hand, grab some coffee, wine, or beer… and take it in with you. I have never seen a bad film here. Not once. Such is the magic of indie movies :)

Awesome movie theater! My favorite one to go to! No large crowds or annoying little teenagers like the other theaters around here. Lets you focus on the only thing that matters– the movie! Seats are super comfortable, lots of independent films you don’t find anywhere else, and just a beautiful lobby area– this theater is a work of art. Prices for food and coffee are pretty expensive. I always have a fantastic experience here and will be back.

Couple things that I’ve noted after sitting through the movie at the theater: First although the seats are very comfortable they don’t recline enough and the spacing between the two seats causes excessive contact with the person behind you was there extremely careful. Second people that are shorter than 5 feet will have the seat cutting their legs very uncomfortable. Although the sound music and quality of screen are all meeting if not exceeding the standard the temperature of the room and the airflow was very lacking. They do a very poor job of cleaning the theaters between guests and showings. It appeared as though they swept the dirt and wrappers underneath the seats rather than actually collecting the dirt and removing it from the theater. While in contrast, the restroom facilities were well-maintained and very clean.

I had always wanted to try this theater. Finally got an afternoon off from work and decided to catch a movie. It was pretty empty on a windy Tuesday afternoon. So empty I had to ask someone where to buy the tickets :-) The theater was neat with leather chairs, so comfy. I like that this theater plays all the offbeat movies from all over the globe that have been to the movie festivals. I have a penchant for these movies. I picked the movie — The Lunch Box with one of my favorite actors — Irrfan Khan. Totally enjoyed the movie. And did I mention it was my first watching a movie in a theater all by myself :-) Totally loved the experience. If you have not, you should try it sometime.

If anyone does not give Angelika 5 stars, what the hell are they looking for in a movie theater?

Went to see«25 steps from Stardom» and it was wonderful! The guy at the register sold us on the film, he was very informative and friendly. One of my new favorite spots when I am in town.

I now check what is playing there prior to any other Heather to see what they have. My wife likes them because she can have a wine or beer verses soda.

Great theater — especially since they serve booze! whoop hoooo! There screenings are strangely few and far between… hmmm.

I have a love-hate relationship with independent and foreign films. This is definitely the place to go to watch them on the big screen. Parking is easy. There’s a parking garage behind it and across the street. They have your typical choice of nachos, hot dog, popcorn and candy, but they also have some sandwich options if you’re looking for something more filling and healthier. They serve wine and beer… how can you say no? The theatre rooms are small and not too crowded. And usually there aren’t obnoxious teenagers commenting on every preview or throughout the movie. HUGEPLUS! The best part is that it’s located in the heart of Shops at Legacy. Plenty of dining options for pre or post-movie!

I absolutely love the Angelika and as I live in the shops of Legacy I constantly worry that it won’t survive here The location is fabulous because of easy parking and all the restaurant and bars right close by The Angelika places more independent films but once is a while they throw something more mainstream in, The theatre is super clean and the staff are super friendly. Even more importantly you can buy nice panini sandwiches and glasses of wine to take in with you. Overall it’s just a much nicer experience than all the mainstream theatres. The Angelika also has specials… for example over Halloween it showed Hitchcock-tober movies every Thursday and right now they have oldie Christmas movies on a Thursday night. I go here at least once a week and I love it
