What a pleasant surprise to find this amazing location while visiting a friend. The service, biscuits, eggs and grits(which I’ve never had before!) were delicious. I recommend this place for great breakfast and service!

Have been here waiting for a table since 11 am — was told the wait was 15 mins??? TERRIBLESERVICE — an hour wait for 6 people because they don’t know how to put two tables together! Won’t come back no matter how good the food may be!

It was clean. The coffee was hot. My daughter’ grits were quite good. For these things, I say thank you. I ordered«Side of Love», black bean corn cakes with tomatillo salsa and feta. The cakes were gray, soggy, and flavorless. There was more salsa than corncake, which could have been a saving grace, had the salsa been edible. My daughter’s breakfast, a biscuit with eggs and chicken sausage gravy was also a flavorless disappointment. I so desperately wanted the food to be amazing, but I’m afraid we won’t be back.

I came to this restaurant before and had a good experience on my first visit with company. But on my second visit here I was sat at a table with my coworker and given menu to place an order. But within 2 minutes later a group arrived and they were seated at a table and able to place an order before we were. And yes this was a white server, we are black, and the other group was white so you do math. Enough said.

I just love everything about this cute place! The food is great!(I’m picky). The décor funky-cute. great vibe. Good servers! Wish I lived closer! Please open one in Thomaston, GA! PLEASE!!! Try the turkey(pot roast) brown gravy w mashed potatoes and cranberry– apple butter ! LOVEIT and the biscuits are great, too! Tastes like beef the way she does it! Price is fine. You’re in PTC what do u expect! High real estate adds to overhead! Still think I don’t pay too much! Just home cooking and colorful dining atmosphere… Love it!

Love Flying Biscuit. First, they have great coffee. Strong and delicious. My menu favorites are: Hollywood Omelet — which is packed with flavor and low in calories, Collard Greens — which I usually get as my breakfast side, and the Shrimp and Grits are amazing… I’ve had the turkey hash, the southern scramble, and a few other things, but I keep going back to the Hollywood Omelet. I don’t really care for their biscuits. I find them too dense. But, the cranberry apple butter is good enough to eat by itself. It is my favorite breakfast place in the area.

This place is the best. I have never had a bad experience there and the food is always consistent. The grits are amazing and I don’t care for grits as a rule. Im usually there about every other weekend.

Fluffy and delicious biscuits and fresh eggs. Great breakfast and lunch selections to please just about anyone. One interesting side item is the fried mac and cheese. They cut the Mac and cheese into squares and fry them on a flat top. Kinda a cool twist for a side item. Grits are creamy and came piping hot. Home try’s were really good too. Pancakes were great but we’re not as hot as the rest of the food we ordered. I was not fond of the coffee, but I do not like a dark roast. My mother in law loved the coffee. I look forward to my next visit and those biscuits !

Food was decent. The grits had way too much butter in them. Biscuits were O. K but the jellies weren’t the best tasting. It is NOT on my «Let’s Go Again» list.

Such a good place! I love the breakfast bowl. The grits is why I am addicted to this place! Service is always prompt. Always check your Togo order though. Often times they forget the Bisquit!

Food was ok, but probably a bit overpriced even at less than $ 10/pp. The server was nice but only checked on us once the entire time — also tried to leave twice before we could complete our order. The runner was not so good — very disinterested and didn’t bring condiments, then forgot after we reminded her. Got the tofu scramble which I thought would be healthy but was greasy and too(tart?). Wasn’t bad, wasn’t great, but probably won’t be back.

To be honest… When our son suggested a «Franchise» type restaurant … I was not that keen on going. I sure am glad I trust my sweet sons opinion. He was«Right on!» Truly a wonderful, healthy brunch eatery… With a southern spin! Many options to pick from. The oatmeal pancakes with peach compote brought out the kid in me. We have drastically changed out dietary lifestyle, to a more fat free& vegetarian spin & loved the spicy chicken sausage gravy as an acceptable«cheat» :) The black bean cakes were excellent. They even offered Mimosas & bloody Mary’s . The décor was very eclectic.(My hippy spirit rejoiced!) Prices were very fair. Our waitress was very attentive & engaging. I am sure when we visit from Michigan, we will return!

HORRIBLE! I’ve eaten here a couple times and I keep coming back to give it another chance ‘just-in-case’. NEVERAGAIN. The food is bland and just plain NASTY! I ordered an omelet with salsa and I’ll be damned if the side of salsa wasnt Ragu spaghetti sauce! The server claimed it wasnt and if he’s telling the truth that goes to show how bad the food is. Who can screw up salsa? So bad that it tasted like spaghetti sauce ?!? Everytime that My wife and I eat next door at Kobe we are AMAZED that this place is still in business!!!

This was the 3rd I’ve tried it. The first 2 were decent, good enough for me to go back. This time i decided to get something other than breakfast. I got the fried green tomatoes and the oven fried chicken. Very bad food, I got mac n’ cheese and mashed potatoes as my sides, bad idea, the mac had no taste and the mashed potatoes were instant and very bland. I sent my food back and ended up having green beans which were great. The service was great as well. Next time I’ll stick to breakfast!

The food is always good and the wait is never too long. I probably come here once a week if I can. The biscuits are good and fresh and I love the jelly they serve with it.

Very creamy grits that do not need to be doctored. Specials are paired nicely. I recommend the Kansas City omelette.

been awhile since I was here…“all the way on other side of town” :) so many great options for breakfast for every pallet. Loved the eggs over black bean patties. And their dreamy creamy grits are the best«cheesy» grits around. Service was good. Scrambled veggie omelette could have been hotter, but flavor was good.

Consistently creative and tasty fare. Funky, casual décor. Friendly staff. The creamy, dreamy grits are the best! Need more locations!

My only disappointment with The Flying Biscuit Café’ is that they didn’t actually throw biscuits at us. Seriously though, this place is the bomb. There are four of them in the Atlanta area, and from what I’ve been told(as I’m only seen two of them to compare), each one has its unique space and décor. This one was connected to a newer looking strip mall but still kept an element of uniqueness with their brightly colored decorations, outdoor patio, etc. Obviously, any restaurant review’s main focus is the food, hence the five stars. I’ve only tried their breakfast food, so sadly can’t discuss the lunch or dinner menu, which can does sound delicious though. As for the breakfast menu, everything we tried was superb. My husband and I were able to share«The High Flyer Breakfast» of two eggs, chicken sausage patties, creamy dreamy grits(AMAZING with melted white cheddar and heavy cream), an organic oatmeal pancake topped with warm peach compote, and one of their homemade biscuits and cup of their cranberry-apple butter. This meal was a steal at $ 9.99, especially since we both had plenty to eat. Oh, and we did add the applewood smoked pork bacon side for $ 2.99. Our two girls tried the buttermilk pancakes and a kids’ «Little Flyer», and both were super cheap and plenty of food. Plus, had we gone on a weekday, kids could have eaten for free. The kids also drank chocolate milk cups at $ 1.50 each so also reasonable. I also tried their cappuccino for $ 3.79, which was not bad as it was huge and delicious. Oh and so many reviews for this location focus on the service, so I have to share that ours was perfect. Granted we were the only ones there shortly after they opened, but the two servers there were attentive and educated me on their Alex’s lemonade stand and were nice with answering my questions about the place and food ingredients. Long story short, if you’re in the Atlanta area, make an effort to try out this local chain. It’ll be worth a bit of a drive off the path as we chose to do for this location.

My wife and I visited Flying Biscuit on a Sunday afternoon and, of course, the restaurant was packed. Even with the owners utilization of the space they have, it was still a little cramped. However, you do have the choice of sitting on their lovely patio, fountain and all! The food was excellent. I had the Meggxican Wrap and a yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. The wrap blended spicy eggs, cheese, onions, and Serrano peppers well. My wife loves biscuits and gravy and a real stickler for the tradition of that dish. She tried a dish that combined their fresh made biscuits topped with scrambled eggs and then covered in their homemade chicken sausage gravy. Her meal came with a side of the oven roasted«moon-dusted» potatoes(FYI, «moon-dusted» is just rosemary). The chicken sausage gravy was a little runny, however, was absorbed perfectly into fluffy biscuits. The special that day was blueberry pancakes, so we decided to try them. The pancakes were big and fluffy. They seemed a bit dry by themselves but, with syrup added, became a real winner. The Bad: The service during our visit was horrible. Reading from other reviews it seems this has been a problem for quite some time. The hostess was amazing! Even during a wait, she went out of her way to help guests. We noticed she was popping from one table to the next, cleaning or talking care of guests when their server was MIA, which happened quite a bit during out visit. When the pancakes came out, we were not given silverware, syrup, or butter. She came to our rescue! She truly saved our trip from the service standpoint. I understand it was a busy Sunday but management needs to hire more or better servers. All things considered, we will return. The quality of the food outweighs the poor service you will inevitably face. This outing would have been a great experience also if there were better servers at this location.
