This is the best place for sushi in the area; it’s always very fresh, whether it’s served at the restaurant or take out. The waitstaff is very nice, there might be an occasional wait for a hibachi table but worth the fun.

HORRENDOUSSERVICE. Made a reservation at 4pm for 730pm then called said we will be 5 mins late they said okay. Showed up 4mins late and they don’t have my reservation at all!!! Can’t seat my party of 5 and when I took out my phone and showed them my recent calls that I spoke to them they had nothing to say!!! Not apologetic and nasty! I WILLNEVERGOTHEREAGAIN. How do you run a restaurant having hosts take reservations and NOTWRITETHEMDOWN! UNREAL

Poor quality fish, even worse service. The Asian woman who works up front is SOONASTY! Never again she should learn some social skills and manners.

Never before and never again. My wife and I are big hibachi fans and just moved to the area, so we were on the hunt for a new hibachi/Japanese restaurant. We invited 3 of our friends along so we had made reservations last night, a Friday for 8pm. We arrived about 5 minutes earlier to the place completely swamped with people(expected on a Friday in Patchogue), and was told by the hostess that it would be a few minutes. After being acknowledged about a half hour later, the hostess brought us to a double hibachi table, but sat us right in the middle between the two tables. This caused my wife and I to be sat within another table while our friends were at the adjoining one, causing us not to even see our food prepared which is the reason why we love going to these places. My friends and I ordered Long Island Iced Teas, which were nothing special, considering how we didn’t even get to place any type of order before 9pm, and didn’t get any service until about 20 min later. I ordered the Giants Roll, a shrimp tempura roll with avocado and spicy tuna. It was probably one of the better rolls I’ve had so I can’t complain about it. My wife had asked the waiter for no dressing on her salad, which went to deaf ears, while my salad portion was so small that it was done in 3 bites. The steak/chicken hibachi was decent, but the fried rice was undercooked. Everytime our waiter brought something out meant for my wife or me, he had a tendency to skip us since we technically were not sitting at that table. Thankfully we were able to enjoy the hibachi show at the table we were sitting at. Not saying I wouldn’t go back. The food was decent but the service and hospitality was horrible. When the bill arrived the waiter had put many of our items on the other party that we were sitting with. We also had to wait a good 15 min for them to even take our credit card. I had asked the waiter to see the manager but he never even showed up.

I’ve been here about three times, but only for lunch. Great staff, good sushi. As a vegetarian, I usually get the cucumber-avocado roll. I also love the Yakisoba. Lots of menu items to choose from if you’re not a sushi fan. Cute deserts for kids, too. Very hip atmosphere, but cozy. A good place to hold gatherings with friends. I have yet to try the hibatchi side!

I have eaten here again and I want to say that the steak I had was very very good, if not better than other hibachi spots and the service was much better than usual. Two thumbs up on the improvements. The sushi was on point, the steak was on point and the service was on point. The waitress was very tentative and met all of our needs.

I hate to hear so many people had bad experiences, I’m local, and while I agree they are a little pricey, I still have never had any crazy problems. My friend got chicken teriyaki once that by looking at her reaction and the dish itself, I’d never touch, but every single other aspect in perfectly content with. I think the rolls, while not too crazy or inventive, are solid, well executed, and delicious. I think the hibachi rice is some of the best, as well as their ginger dressing. They have good filet minion if that’s your thing at the hibachi spots. I’ve sat at the sushi bar on a super packed night, I’ve sat at the hibachi tables, and I usually grab a regular table.(I don’t need some overdone show and watered down saki squirted in my face) and I’ve never had any awful service, no one has ever been rude, and tonight in particular our waitress was super helpful, super sweet, and extra attentive on the waters. From here on out I always get shumai but fried and I always try to find something new, but sorta wind up with the same few favorites. All in all you aren’t going to find anything on this menu you wouldn’t on any other given sushi/hibachi joint, but I don’t see why that’s some sort of deplorable thing, they have what they have and I thing they do it well. Their fish is fresh and you pay a little more than you should have to. I agree they are a little pricey, but go check em out, and let me know what you think. I like the: gyoza(ask for it lightly fried) All the sushi rolls Hibachi fried rice Ginger dressing Rock shrimp

My favorite sushi place around! Yankee roll for life! The sauces they put on the sushi mean you don’t need any soy sauce bc it comes out perfectly beautiful and delicious. The stony brook location is just as good too! Been going for over10 years never disappointed!

Sushi and hibachi are both great. They don’t take reservations so show up early. I would absolutely recommend the calamari app and their drinks are great too. Favorite Japanese restaurant on Long Island!

Refills on soda & shirley temples aren’t free especially when it’s 60% ice! Lunch prices were the only thing positive of my experience(7.50−9 $ average although small meat portion on plate) No frills hibachi

Upscale atmosphere and bar, with affordable prices. Add that and some saki bombs with owner Louie and you are in for a tremendous experience. Rolls and sashimi at its freshest. The only place I go for sushi.

I’m always at the hibachi section when I come. The food is average. I’ve only had an issue once My last experience: my family-party of 8 celebrating my cousin’s 16th birthday. My brother was trying to place his order and somehow the waitress wasn’t grasping what he wanted exactly. A simple order to be honest with no bells or whistles, nothing special. What was it you may ask: fried calamaris in addition to his hibachi order. Maybe she assumed this 5’5“120 pound young kid wouldn’t be able to eat that much? Who knows… I chimed in to help and even then she wasn’t understanding what we wanted. This going back and forth took some time and it was honestly putting me on edge because I felt as if the waitress and I were speaking different languages… We finally got it together… Food was ordered Our NEW waitress made it all better. We didn’t request a new one, she was just assigned to us. Service was very good. She was very friendly, attentive and just made it all better. She saved our celebratory experience!

Great food and atmosphere. Didn’t have to wait very long for a table on a Friday night. The salmon/mango appetizer was fantastic. They were practically kicking us and the rest of the tables out of the restaurant about a half hour before they closed though, which was pretty rude. Didn’t get to order dessert, as the waiter asking everyone to finish up said they no longer serve the wine ice cream advertised on the menu.

so happy this is in Patchogue. i love sushi. its always fresh and looks amazing. if you are on a budget I recommend going for lunch and getting the steak/chicken hibachi. its a good deal and you get a lot of food. There drinks are good but you definitely have to order a scorpion bowl. but make sure to spilt it with someone or you will be falling down after.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The bar area is a bit tiny which also serves as a waiting area. Could rethink the layout a little bit. Since there was a wait and we were hungry we took the sushi bar seats. It was a great idea. They have really nice specials which we didn’t have this time but will try next time. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Presentation was of course top notch.

Great sushi, as well as other very fresh fish and wonderful ambience! My husband and I haven’t tried the Hibachi but have come here for dinner alone, and with friends. We never had a bad experience! A welcoming warm, lemon towel to clean your hands is a nice touch. The menu is extensive. The food is pleasantly artistically presented. Everything is delicious, but of course, I enjoy fresh fish. If you are a hamburger kind-of guy, you may not like it, but probably wouldn’t come here in the first place! If you enjoy Sushi and Asian dishes, don’t pass this place by. You won’t be disappointed!
