Tried this place because of their off season buy one get one entrée free. The prices are really high for what you get but with the off season prices it was above average. We sat outside and when we first got there the manager deferred us to speak to the hostess despite the place was 90% empty and she clearly was not busy. We weren’t sure why she wouldn’t let us just sit outside(this was during the end of summer) so we waited a good 5 minutes and frustrated sat ourselves down and got a waitress to help us. Service was sub par and with the manager’s lack of accountability in service, we won’t be going back.

Haven’t been to windy ridge for a while. Found the new prices way higher than before — in excess of places on Main Street. The food was good but not great. The service was good but not great. The new prices were out of line with respect to the Quality of the food.

Let me preface this review by stating that I rarely feel a 1-star review is ever warranted for a restaurant– unless the service is truly, by all accounts, abominable. Unfortunately, the quality of food at a given restaurant becomes nearly irrelevant if the customer service is lacking, or in this case, nonexistent. Enter Windy Ridge Café. We were seated at a table with a waitress who preceded to make our dining out experience about as enjoyable as waiting in line for an event that was unknowingly already canceled, but you wait in line anyway under pretense that if you just wait a little bit more, you’ll finally get to the front of the line. Throughout our wait, the antithesis of a live wire of a Human Being unsympathetically continued to grant us various illusory promises that our food was on its way. 45MINUTESLATER. Food arrives, along with the manager, who tries her best to deflect any blame for the wait period, insisting that it was only 24 minutes wait time from when they kitchen received our ticket til it reached our table. Eventually, she retracts her statement and realizes that we were indeed waiting for 45MINUTES. At this point, her apologizing and offering to pay for another round of drinks can’t give back the time we lost by choosing to eat at this establishment. With that being said, the food was good. But I ask you, Does that even matter if the experience of eating out is completely ruined by some obvious latency between the kitchen and the waitstaff? Final note: I exhort my fellow Unilocalers to reconsider dining here unless you enjoy waiting idly for a meal.

I eat. A lot. So my motto is that anything can be breakfast if you add an egg on top! I started and finished the cinnamon bun, which had succulent raisins, crunchy pecans, and a healthy dose of not too sweet cream cheese and a dollop of honey butter. In the middle of the meal, I had the baked mac and cheese, which had bacon, and gooey cheese, and a perfectly consistent sauce. I ordered it with a sunny side up egg, and it was AMAZING. Service was fantastic too, with the waiter super attentive to our coffee and water levels. I am totally recommending this place to friends!

Meh. This used to be highly consistent family food. On the plus side, the trout was very nice. The chicken however reminded me of something from a cafeteria. You know that gross overcooked leathery texture? Yes, that right on a boring salty gravy. One quarter of the chicken and lets say not its best parts. Salad, meh. Veggies, a bore. We got the two for one(thanks a lot for asking us to hunt down another paper for a coupon for the four of us), so the chicken meals were free, the right price.

Must have had an off night. We were hungry after hiking to Long Lake and looked forward to eating here since it has been one of our favorite restaurants for years. The bathroom floor was filthy and it’s not even ski season with wet dirty boots. The hostess was friendly and asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. There were three pages of drinks and only one for food. Really?! Is it turning into a bar? Their complimentary fresh bread with dipping sauce was delicious as usual. Our waitress was great – she sat us in a quiet corner and was attentive. I ordered a bowl of chicken soup and my husband ordered their meatloaf with cornbread, mashed potatoes and gravy. The soup had ZERO flavor; the chicken was seriously undercooked; the macaroni was overcooked; onions and carrots were okay. I added lots of salt and pepper but couldn’t get past the gross meat and pasta. My husband’s meal was good. We polished it off and were still hungry – steamed veggies like broccoli would’ve been nice. My husband tasted my soup then said, «Wow. That is bad. You make much better soup and meatloaf.» That’s nice(and true) but I expect better from a restaurant, especially Windy Ridge. We didn’t say anything to the waitress or chef. Decided to get dessert at home. It may be awhile before we return if ever.

Not a big fan of this place. The complimentary bread and sauce was good, but my santa fe salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with a few toppings mixed in between, and the dressing was watered down, flavorless and just tasted spicy. I much rather prefer the salad at café rio which is half the price. My husband did enjoy his peppered steak though. Way overpriced for what they offer in my opinion.

Used a 2 for 1 coupon at the Windy Ridge Café on a Wednesday night. It’s away from Main St so a quieter atmosphere which we loved! Ordered a glass of wine and the waiter brought us some bread with their AMAZING homemade red pepper dip. I had their Mac and cheese(has bacon in it!!) with some sautéed veggies which were cooked perfectly. My husband had the mandarin chicken special which was out of this world! It had a spicy sweet sauce and was offset perfectly by a coconut cream risotto. The new chef came out and talked to all the diners in the restaurant to make sure they were happy with our meals. We definitely were and will come back again soon!

Went there today for the first time and sadly have to admit: not impressed at all !!! I ordered my burger well done, said it multiple times. When the food arrived, burger was red and mash potatoes were cold, not warm nor hot. When I ask for my check, they placed it on my table and as I was putting the money in, I was ask twice: can I take this from you… They are definitely better restaurants here in PC without rush service. Very disappointed !!

Fish Fish and more fish. Did the 2 for 1 last nite and had Utah Trout and Horseradish Crusted Salmon. Both delicious and the service wonderful. Now I must admit it was after Labor Day so only a few customers in the place. I have eaten there last summer on the patio and the food was good. The service was up to par considering the place was packed. So all in all it is for sure a step above average and deserving of it’s 4 stars. I’ll be back next year during ski season. The Food Man

Good food, we came early and were seated quickly and received our food quickly. Our waiter forgot about us after that. But someone else came by and got us a check. Food portions are a good size, maybe a little large for some people. Menu doesn’t have dozens of options, but the food we ordered(salad, meatloaf and macaroni and cheese) was all pretty good and satisfying.

I have a weakness for fries… and this place did not disappoint. They sprinkle them with a cajun seasoning and serve them with ranch and spicy fry sauce… move over 5 guys. I enjoyed the kale salad with raspberries and blueberries. I added chicken, it was a bit to dry. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the beauty of Park City. Service was great and friendly staff!

Taco Tuesday was great! This is a great find! Sit on the patio while enjoying the guitar player! The drinks and tacos are inexpensive, the atmosphere is lively and the service was great. Save room for the key lime pie!

We had a great experience at Windy Ridge. We went following a bike ride and sat on the patio, which was nice. The ambience was really cute and inviting. The server was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Food was good and filling. I had the salmon which was tasty, but a little salty. Sweet potato fries were great.

Very well executed comfort food! Windy Ridge is a wonderful local restaurant. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but that only adds to the casual, welcoming environment. This is a regular spot for me. Service is good. The bread and dipping sauce they give you when you sit down is worth the visit alone! So good. There are some consistently delicious menu items and some a bit more average. My favorites would be the tilapia(I’m not sure it was talapia but definitely a whitefish) sandwich and the ribs. The fish sandwich is among the best I’ve ever had, and thankfully it’s consistently so! The ribs are also near the top of my experience. I found the meatloaf just kinda there. It certainly reminds me of home, but maybe a little too much so… I’ve had a few other items here but it’s probably been too long ago to review. The cocktails are better than average but not excellent. This is one of, if not my, favorite of the Bill White restaurants. It’s less overpriced than his Main Street locations however, location, atmosphere and the food makes it worth it on an occasional basis. Of course, even the budget-minded may relax with some of the specials offered.

I love this restaurant and it hurts me to write this review. I called Windy Ridge on a Friday at 7pm to place a to go order for 10 people. When I called a gentleman named Seth answered and told me to «call back in 45 minutes because they were too busy to take to go orders.» I have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER heard a restaurant say this to me ever in my entire life. I have lived in San Francisco for 6 years, the number one food capital in the US and have never encountered this type of response before. This is the first time I have heard a restaurant refuse a to go order and I am shocked. My question is to the management: how do you allow your staff to say this to their customers? Especially to loyal customers who know how good your corn chowder, mushroom soup, windy ridge salad, meatloaf, etc. are. I hope this is a fluke and never happens again because I will be sure to notify our neighbors in Park City of this atrocious customer service. At the very least Seth could have told me the order would have taken an hour to prepare. Ridiculous.

I had gone to Windy Ridge Café on recommendation from my wife, who’s previous experience there had been stellar. We arrived late into the Lunch hours, and the restaurant was about 50% full. Unbeknownst to us, we were seated on a common wall opposite of the kitchen, and only a slatted window cover separated us from the kitchen via a window cut-out, letting the heavy, greasy smell of the kitchen permeate the area we sat in. Otherwise, the dining room appeared relaxed, casual and fairly quiet. The menu looks good, though unexpectedly limited. The wait staff is attentive, but somewhat lacking in customer rapport. I ordered the Crispy Salad(minus Garbanzo beans – I can’t eat them until I’m off dialysis), and the Roast Beef and Horseradish Sandwich, with a side of Onion Rings. My wife ordered what she’d eaten previously, the Open-Faced Turkey Sandwich Platter.(See photos) The wait for our food was decent, and it arrived fresh and hot. The offerings looked excellent! My wife dug into her food, enjoying every morsel, as she had a couple of months previous. However, for me, the food failed to live up to expectations. To start, the salad had a dill sauce that was severely lacking in flavor. I had to add some black pepper just to get some sort of flavor profile from it. All the veggies were crisp and fresh, but again, the dressing was entirely bland. The lowlight of my meal was the Roast Beef Sandwich. While the beef was cooked nicely, the bread and meat were so saturated with grease(heavy) that I could barely eat half the offering. Additionally, the horseradish sauce that was put on the sandwich was also completely bland, and I actually looked to see if it was even on the sandwich!(NOT something anyone would expect from Horseradish!) Lastly, the au jous that accompanied the sandwich was tasteless, had no salt in it, and looked and tasted like slightly flavored water. The highlight of my meal was the onion rings! They were huge, crisp and delicious. But, on top of an already heavy-tasting sandwich, these too came across as unappetizing. Too bad my meal turned out like this. The descriptions looked outstanding, and I was looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately for my meal, the reality just didn’t live up to the expectation. Had my food been more appealing, the price we paid for our lunch would have been well worth it. As it was, I feel my meal was too pricey, though my wife thought hers was a bargain. I doubt that I will dine at Windy Ridge Café again. There just isn’t anything that would draw me back.

I recommend Windy Ridge Café as part of any relaxing day in Park City. The food is very good and reasonably priced. It never comes quick, but I don’t really want it to because they have such a nice patio to enjoy the scenery and fresh mountain air. Taco Tuesdays are a well done here. The whole menu transforms to tasty taco options. I’ve also had their sandwiches and burgers. It is also close to a bakery that does great pastries to finish off your meal.
