Excellent totally underrated spot. Nice ambience and décor, waiter was helpful but not in your face and the food was just amazing. Shrimp potstickers were good,(nothing overwhelming, but very solid). The halibut and the beef tenderloin were delicious. I would recommend sharing the halibut, it was large with a lot of veggies. The dessert was really the highlight of the meal. The berry cobbler was probably the best cobbler I’ve ever had, and the soufflé was light and not too rich.

Visited The Mustang on a recent trip to Park City. The Restaurant was busy as it was just a few days before Sundance. My wife and I both had the mushroom soup, SeaBass, and the Chocolate soufflé. Everything was excellent. Our server was great, friendly and his timing was spot on. We spoke to the new owner who greeted us at the door. He purchased the Mustang last fall and has been making positive changes to the menu, service and décor. He was very approachable and friendly. Overall it was a terrific experience for us.

This place rocks! Food is incredible and the service was top notch. After looking at some of the bad reviews it seems that the lower star ratings were from minor problems from people who need to complain as much as they need air. Have a great dinner at one of the best restaurants in park city! I recommend the ribs or the chicken piccata. For apps you have to order the chile relleno or the potstickers. The chocolate soufflé for dessert is a must have, the best I’ve had.

We visited during Sundance so we were limited to a prix fixe menu. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The clam chowder was great. The main courses were very tasty and filling(sea bass and chicken piccata). BUT, the dessert was a disaster made worse after we realized the chocolate cake was from a BOX! We discovered this secret by accident when we walked around the back of the restaurant on our way down to Main Street. For $ 100 a person, I’d expect either more discretion or real culinary effort for all facets of the menu.

I had the spinach and pear salad. It was one of the best salads I have ever enjoyed. We started off with the pot stickers and they were yummy. My husband had the fabulous sea bass. This is our new go to spot in Park City

Atmosphere is ok, food was good, but not great. Desserts were very good, order the cobbler. People were very friendly. For the money, I think you can do better.

We have been to the Mustang many many times and have recommended it to out of towners looking for a a great place to eat. We visited there on 10⁄10 after attending a play and were really looking forward to it. I ordered the Mustang Steak and Fries, which is what I usually order. My steak was full of gristle and was uneatable. I told the waiter how disappointed I was, he said he would tell the chef and that was it. No one came out to apologize or even acknowledge the fact that there was a problem. We won’t be back since we are not valued customers.

We had a great evening here with friends taking advantage of the September 2 for 1 entrée deal plus $ 8 corkage fee for a bottle of Prisoner wine($ 39 at the State liquor store). The service was impeccable and we loved the entrees of rack of lamb, ribs and trout. The ambience in this beautifully appointed restaurant was excellent and on a very rainy evening it was perfect to be able to be less than 100 yards from the Marriott Summit Watch where we are staying.

I’m astonished at all the good reviews. The service was fine, but it almost seemed overdone given the location, ambiance, décor, etc. A total mismatch. I assumed the prices I saw online were reflective of the height of the ski season but was surprised to see that, no, the exorbitant prices were indeed the same in mid-June as they are for the Holidays in an exclusive ski-town. Go figure. The prices would have been halfway acceptable if the food was anything beyond mediocre… and I’m being generous for my particular entrée. We had the beet salad — the blue cheese dressing was completely overpowering… strong and gloppy– no way for the beets to have a voice on that plate. The«Utah Red Trout» was flavorless but for the over handed topping of capers, tomatoes, pine nuts, etc. Subtlety does not appear to have a place in this kitchen. The whipped potatoes were ok but the asparagus did not even resemble fresh asparagus in color, texture or taste. I don’t recall the last time I was served a «fresh» vegetable that was so off the mark. All the dishes at our table(scallops, trout, sea bass) were pedestrian in their preparation and flavor profiles. They WERE overindulgent in portion size(which is not what I’m looking for in my fine dining experience). To give perspective… I’m a foodie… attended culinary school… so judge opinion accordingly.

Disappointing. Half pound of shrimp in Scampi? not. Service was poor — had to ask for service. Over-priced.

Good, but not great. The salad with goat cheese was fresh, crisp and tasty. Recommend avoiding the shrimp pot sticker appetizer. Service was good, the wines available by the glass were disappointing.

What a disappointment! The beat part of our meal was the bread and our waiter. The goat cheese salad was fine but our entrees were a disaster. They do not know how to cook meat which is evident be mine and other reviews. My Filet came out medium to medium well when I ordered it medium rare. By the way, the filet was extremely small by steak house standards and was about ¼ to ½ thick. They did ask about my meal and offered to bring me a new one but I declined as I was famished from a day of skiing. My dish was at least edible. My friend had the Lamb Chops(came out at least 5 minutes after mine) which looked like it did not make it to the grill… Completely raw! It was sent back, cooked better until the last 2 chops which was once again raw. Waiter was mortified, brought Manager over who proceeded to say the following: the light in the restaurant makes the meat appear to be rarer than it is and said it was properly cooked which was a ridiculous statement. Then stated next time we come in, ask for him and he will ensure our dishes are properly cooked. Really??? At $ 43 per entrée, I should not have to see the Manager to have things cooked properly. He did credit the steak off our bill which was insignificant due to the overall experience and expectation of a good meal. It is evident by many reviews hat your chef has issues cooking meat properly. You should address this before your customers make the decision for you.

Had such high hopes but, in the end, just wasn’t great. Beef Carpaccio appetizer was excellent, Sea bass entrée was good, Rack of Lamb was not good — it was way undercooked. I asked for it to be cooked more, and still it was was too undercooked and the taste just wasn’t great. Place has potential, but this trip wasn’t great.

Good meal and excellent service. Sea bass was delicious and 10 dollars extra they will split and add extra sides. My sons ribs and fries looked great. Cocktails menu interesting but they couldn’t make my request cause they ran out of cucumbers? Martini pour a bit shy. Seemed like wine is the bigger draw. I recommend making a reservation on the weekend nights.

We were in Park City for the holiday weekend and decided on The Mustang for our Valentine’s Day dinner. The service was excellent — we had a terrific bottle of wine and amazing food. We were all skeptical of eating seafood in a land locked state but The Mustang proved us wrong. Order the Utah Trout!

Superb service. Delectable food. Very over priced(hence the 3 stars) for what was served Carpaccio: corn-fed beef(which is what was served) is so bland compared to grass-fed. At these prices, I expect grass-fed Garlic French Fries — flavorful, but mushy. Needed to be fried twice to give them a good crunchy-crispness. Instead, they were kinda soggy Black Diamond Torte — decadently sinful, but needed to be served w a raspberry coulis, or something to cut the denseness Chocolate soufflé — best thing on the menu. Light, fluffy, flavorful and totally decadent!

Overall one of the best meals I have had in PC. The sea bass was amazing — light, flaky and flavorful. Probably the best sea bass I have had in a long time, The shrimp scampi was also very good, light and lots of flavor. The scallops were just ok. A little bland. The restaurant was very good except for the service, we had a table of adults and a table of kids, the kids ordered before us but got served way after us. We ordered a side of fries and never got it despite repeatedly being told it was coming, we finally had them cancel the order, you would think if the order was put in and on its way, they would have just brought it out, on the house. Overall I would recommend it. It is pricey, even by PC standards so definitely a special occasion place.

Wow. We had 6 people and everyone LOVED what they ordered. Not a single person ordered the same thing, and at the end, no one would have changed their order. It was all delicious! I had scallops. Man! My hubs had lamb. Equally wow. Not a single bad thing on the menu.

There’s so many restaurants on Main Street in Park City, that it’s hard to pick one that’s reliably good. I have found The Mustang to be a cut above the rest. It’s tucked away in a spot near the Marriott toward the bottom of Main Street. It’s not the prettiest place, but the food is what matters. They have an excellent wine list, which is very important on a snowy night. The fish entrees are probably what’s best at The Mustang. The Utah Red Trout is very tasty, the Chilean Sea Bass is excellent, and the Scampi is superb. If you like lamb, try the braised lamb shank. It’s done very well. For dessert, you must have their«signature» chocolate soufflé. It’s the cap of a wonderful evening. It’s perfectly made — not too sweet, not too filling. It’s a signature dessert that leaves you wanting to come back again.

This place is pretty good. Came here for a work function so can’t really comment on the price but they do make a pretty strong mojito and the steak was pretty good. It was a bit greasy but the taste was there. The seats are pretty close to each other so if you are going in a group it will be pretty snug and tight. Haha. otherwise a pretty good spot for dinner.
