The stylist I’ve come to three times already (Yazmin) is ALL about you being happy with the service. The staff is friendly, and I’ve had a good experience each time. So much so, I felt compelled to share here!
The place is clean, the clientele is a cool mix. I’ve had some great conversation and met really nice locals each time who’ve been coming here for years.

Had an appointment with Kim Horton for highlights. It was my first time there and my first time with Kim. She was really friendly, worked very fast and the experience was great. I was delighted with the outcome and will definitely be back.

Yasmin is the best! I’ve been coming to her for about a year and she always does exactly what I ask for. She’s so talented and is very detailed oriented. She makes sure you’re happy with your hair as she’s going along, so you’re happy with the overall result. She’s also so fun to chat with. She’s awesome!

Nataly and Vivian are wonderful. Whether it’s keratin or color application, haircut or blow dry, I always leave happy and get tons of compliments. Great talent. Thank you ladies.

Sheila is the best! She does everything… hair cut, color, chi, keratin treatment, extensions, etc. She did an amazing job dying my hair from dark brown to platinum blonde with extensions ! She has been my hairstylist for as long as I can remember. I get bored with my hair very easily and have had my hair a variety of ways. When my wife’s stylist left Miami, she was looking everywhere for a stylist equal to the task of styling, and coloring her mane of naturally curly hair. Our neighbor highly recommended Señor Al Castillo. He does an excellent job in coloring her hair everytime. It never looks gaudy or unnatural, and the price is very reasonable. The salon is comfortable and intimate, and is convenient to Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, and Pinecrest. Al’s «chairside» manner is fantastic. We feel we’ve known him forever. And we always leave with a smile. I also get my haircut with Al, as my barber was constantly busy with an assembly line operation. After retiring from the police with 32 years, I decided to grow my hair long in a defiant gesture. Al styled my longer hair fine, but approached me and suggested a new short look. I now wear it shorter than I used to, but it has great style and makes me look younger. I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend anybody looking to get great styling by a professional who cares deeply about his customers!

Seriously love my haircut. Thanks Al! He does such an amazing job and I can finally say I found my new salon in Miami. The new place is much nicer inside as well.

I went to Joseph’s for what I thought would be a decent haircut. Al Castillo was recommended, however, I was highly disappointed. Instead of a more youthful/​modern looking hair style he cut my hair too short and it looked like a chop job. I will not return.

Since moving to Miami 3 years ago I have had a problem finding someone to cut my hair well. It always seem that the first cut is awesome and then down hill after that. Not to mention the price tag of $ 75-​$ 100.
Well Joseph’s Salon is a keeper! I saw a flyer at Lots of Lox and decided to call (since my salon couldn’t get me in for 3 weeks!). I decided to go with Kim after reading her bio on the website, in the business for 20+ years. Kim got me in right away, told her what I wanted and with her feedback, we came up with a cut. She did a razor cut, which my hair always loves, and it came out awesome.
Kim also sold me on Joseph’s branded product and they are also great (shampoo-​FREE conditioner, and molding paste) — all smell great too.
The best part was the price, $ 50– each stylist is independent, so prices are probably different. I will be back for a cut and highlights and am hoping not to receive the sophomore slump cut!

I have mixed feelings, and now — I’m more confused now than I was before I decided to make an appointment here.
I’ve only gotten my hair cut in South Florida once in the last 8 months and that was only because they were having a charity event and I felt inspired to go.
I waited as long as my hair could stand to find the «right» place — but I was overloaded with options here, which led to my outright refusal to make an appointment at all.
A few people recommended Joseph’s and finally (because my hair felt and looked like a damn mop) I made an appointment with Al Castillo.
He was veryyyyyy nice and friendly. No problems there. I told him what I wanted and he finished my cut very fast. He made me feel comfortable about his abilities.
The cut looks great. He did everything just as I asked him.
The only problem — he cut my hair a tad bit shorter than I was expecting. However, my hair was pretty damaged and needed a good-​sized trim.
Now, my mixed feelings come in because I’m not sure whether I should return to Al in light of my hair being shorter than I imagined it would be or give him another try because he was very nice and competent.
The feel of the salon is very relaxed — not stuffy at all. I can tell it’s the type of place where you can really build a relationship with your stylist. I like that about it.

I have been going to Josephs since they opened! Outstanding! I have been going to Sheila for years… the salon is warm, cozy, inviting, wonderful owners, and they know hair!!!
Still with Sheila… she is the Best!
