Beyond Salon and Spa

I bought a groupon coupon for a mani & pedi. When I got to this place, I was greeted by a very nice young lady sitting at the front desk. (apparently the owners daughter)
When the manicure lady came out, she didn’t say much at the beginning, when I sat in the pedi chair and she told me to put my feet in the water, it was boiling hot. The pedicure was fine. The manicure was awful. I left very upset and my nails look awful. She didn’t cut the cuticles, the nail polish later developed little bubbles and she forgot to put clear coat on my nails to run outside to smoke and talk to her daughter on the phone.
Not happy at all. I don’t usually say or write anything negative, but when I pay for something I expect for a professional outcome.
What a shame, the place is pretty nice, and the people too, except for this manicure lady…
My advise, tell her to step up her customer service skills and lay off the rude talking on her cell phone…
Thanks, by the way, tomorrow I am going to go get a manicure «again» at another place.
Not using groupon ever again …

I stumbled across this place in search of somewhere that did Keratin treatments. (Keratin is a protein that straightens and strengthens the hair when applied and hot ironed into hair). I ended up getting my hair washed, cut, and treated with Keratin. My experience was decent.
Here’s what I liked:
*I was offered refreshments multiple times.
*The lady who cut my hair and applied the Keratin was incredibly gentle
*The price was very decent for the services given
Here’s what I didn’t like:
*I was handed off to another lady ¾ of the way through treatment because the lady that cut my hair had another appointment coming in
*At one point, both ladies were ironing my hair. They spent the whole time in a deep conversation with each other in a language that I do not speak. They were both, literally speaking right in my ears. (Kind of rude, right?)
* It took longer than they had originally projected. I WAS HUNGRY!
Otherwise, all went well. I love my straight hair!
