So happy right now. Just finished lunch at Appetito. Delicious. The creamy mushroom potato soup was exquisite. They do soups right here — not ridiculously thick. So many other places these days make soups so thick you can stand your spoon in it like disgusting porridge. NOT here. Here the soup I had today was absolute perfection. And then after, I had the beet & strawberry salad. Oh my stars… DELICIOUS! They used golden beets, so no need to fret about possible stains from red ones. And it was a perfect ratio of arugula, strawberries, and beets, with crumbles of beautiful white goat cheese. It was as delicious as it was gorgeous. Can’t wait to try the bread pudding next time.

So I come into Appetito around 3pm to have a drink(they have a very nice French rosè) and some food, at which time this place was oozing with this beautiful aroma of Italian food with some sort of wicked twist. As I’m looking over the menu I can’t imagine myself just picking one or two things, eventually I decided on the calamari which was cooked to perfection(not too hard not too soft) which was accompanied by a very tasty sauce which didn’t take away from the freshness of the fried squid itself. To follow my appetizer I had the bbq chicken pizza, the mozzarella is the absolute best mozzarella I’ve had in my life with tender little cubes of chicken sprinkled throughout and cooked perfectly and a few red onions for flavor. THEBOMB. I wish Appetito was sitting in the middle of La Plaza downtown where Tyler’s is, but then I think no because I’d never be able to get a table. Lol. I suggest Appetito to all foodies and people looking for a twist on some quality Italian food. Also the eggplant sliders and bruschetta are top notch and the pasta is made in house right where you can see it being prepared.

Gracie, our waitress, was wonderful. It was a large group of us, and they were very accommodating. The food was delicious. I lucked out and picked the winning dish of the night: the lasagna. Highly recommend it. Side note: their coffee is great(it’s from Koffi, right next door).

The craft beer selection was good, but the calamari was awful. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and it was okay. The staff was unprofessional. Overall I wouldn’t come back.

The service here is VERY slow. We arrived at 6:30 and placed our order after about five minutes. My husband ordered an antipasto salad and a pasta dish. I ordered a ‘pizzetta’ and a side vegetable. Our bottle of red wine(la Quercia Montepulciano) was starting to turn and we waited 45 minutes before my husband’s salad arrived. After an hour and fifteen minutes, at 7:45, no sign of any part of my order, nor was there bread, crackers, olive or explanation to take the edge off the wait. My husband got up to inquire, they were still backed up and not sure when the food would arrive. We left having eaten one antipasto salad.

Amazing food and the service Graciela gave was fantastic and her recommendations were spot on. The handmade Spaghetti with Sunday Sauce, meatballs and sausage — unbelievable. The pasta and meats are all handmade fresh, so good. The Lasagna was also amazing, topped with fresh ricotta cheese, a wonderful meat sauce and the best slice of crusty bread to dip in that sauce. So good!!! Definitely a place to go to and have some of the very best Italian food!!! Thank you Graciela, we will be back!!!

This restaurant is one of our two or three favorites in PS. They’ve changed their menu and service approach in the last few months and we now go there at least once a week. Friendly staff, nice selection of small plates as well as full-on main courses, along with generous pours of wine.

Probably the best Italian food I’ve had. I try to order something different every time I come here, and it’s good every single time! I tried the mussels with pasta most recently, it was amazing. The spaghetti is also good. I could go on about how great every menu item is, but just try it out!

Easily the worst service and food I’ve experienced in a long long time. The bartender/waitress who was clearly on her last days working here didn’t give a damn. She looked better suited to prison work. She sourly took our drinks with a look that would kill a small animal. The place had a weird vibe to start, watching football on a big screen doesn’t fit well with the romantic Italian food ambience. The old looking gnocchi that sat in a mush on the plate had a foul taste to it. The Sunday pasta was clearly from last Sunday and recently freshly washed In spaghetti-o’s to give it some flavor. It looked like it had been reheated from a previous diner. All of it inedible and revolting to look at. I haven’t had a worse restaurant experience in the past 12 months. Amazed that this place has the ratings it does.

It was a dark and stormy night when I first visited Appetito and the food and beverages made it seem like a sunny spring day. Great menu choices with most appetizers large enough for a meal for my wife. Not me, although I need to get some portion control one of these days. I love the pizzettes, great thin crust without being cracker hard and fresh fresh toppings. Smoked brisket and sweet peppers pizzette has amazing flavors and thinly sliced peppers that add sweetness to the bbq sauce and make a colorful presentation. The Italian sliders are really good, order one of each style. My lunch companion ordered a pasta dish based on seeing an employee making it from scratch and said it was really good. One star knocked off due to the calamari being too rubbery both times I tried it. But that won’t stop me from coming back frequently, just won’t order it!

Appetito is a very nice restaurant and bar which is worth seeking out. It’s alongside the main highway but you wouldn’t see it as it is hidden behind Koffi. Two things I like most about Appetito: — Consistently polite and friendly service. — Menu has broad variety of quality items. My wife had the Butter Lettuce salad which was a true home run — delicious! On a prior visit we shared the Charcuterie Board which was also very good. And prices are very fair for the quality and portions. Bön Appetite at Appetito!

Decided to have lunch here on our way out of town, and so glad we did! Ordered a vegetarian pizzette and added meatballs. Also shared a butter lettuce salad with blue cheese and hazelnuts. The food was perfect and absolutely delicious. The waiter/slash bartender, Marc B. Was friendly and efficient. We will be back, the menu is varied and creative. Also Happy Hour offerings and prices are not to be missed! .

Very elegant restaurant with friendly service to match, sure to be popular with out-of-towners and locals alike. It’s a real delight coming here, though not just for the savory food. There are great views of the surrounding mountains that you get while dining out on the patio or even inside of the restaurant thanks to its massive windows. Anyway, I last came here with my cousin on Saturday originally planning to have some drinks and casual conversation, but then hunger struck and when there wasn’t a Snickers in sight I ordered a few items from the happy hour snacks menu. These pack a lot of flavor for their size. The staff was attentive and friendly which was a welcome relief since I kept ordering appetizer after appetizer. No fuss, no muss. They paired great with the lemon chiller and Babe’s Blackfin beer, my new favorite. Their pasta game is strong, made fresh daily. I was happy to see they offer a pesto pasta salad together with a brisket sandwich. Very filling and both were great. The service was excellent and the ladies give you the impression that if you’re dissatisfied for whatever reason they’ll work to make it right. Being located across the street from the Ace Hotel, they seem to have a casual«no shirt, no shoes, no problem» policy, though I myself am too modest to try that and would probably feel a bit underdressed.

A group of 8 of us came here after Happy Hour at Wang’s. We started off with calamari and Brussel sprouts for appetizers. The calamari were cut in strips like a French fry. It was okay. Had was better calamari. The Brussel sprouts were disappointing in that they weren’t crisp at all. I decided on the chicken butter salad with Gorgonzola, walnuts and bacon. The chicken was dry and was the skimpiest piece I’ve seen in a salad. The bacon seemed like they were baco-bits. Big disappointment. Not sure how long this place will last. Good luck.

So I’ve been a fan of Appetito from day one. Then the wheels started to fall off. During the spring they hosted a group of tennis players playing in a big tennis tournament. The atmosphere was glorious and the service was almost militant in its expertise. However, I don’t know which was worse, the small amount of food given to a group of male athletes, or how unnaturally bland it was?! A couple of months prior, I had yet another bad experience when dining with a business client. But I won’t get into that now. Today I decided to return to this fave dining place because nobody is perfect every time, and they easily have the best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had! Or should I say«had?» I opened the to-go box, picked up the sandwich, and as I took a bite the entire thing fell into my lap, and the bread crumbled in my hands in a soggier than soggy mess! What a charming scenario for tourist with one outfit left for the day. Clearly they have changed the kind of bread they normally use. The bread prior had the rigid body to hold the meat and additional content. I have no idea how it tasted, as it went from the table, the chair and the rug, right into the trash. The pasta salad wasn’t any better. They have been in the habit of finely chopping some of the bow tie pasta into little pieces making you think you are eating something left over. I’m done. I’m through. I’m finished! The place was empty at 12:20pm. Wonder why?

I love this place They have gluten-free pizza dough and pasta as well as risotto– A godsend for me. It’s very much California — Italian, with a creative fresh twist, during summer they have happy hour from 3 to 7 with great deals and a great sampling menu. We got fried calamari, fried okra and char-grilled chicken wings– three thin crust pizzas and brisket and pepper Risotto – sausage and Sweet Pepper Pizza, the vegetarian pizza and the Risotto were all delicious, The chicken wings and barbecue pizza were also good. – The fried okra did not pass muster with the Southerner. – I have yet to explore the other fresh and interesting items on the menu. My was last here a year ago and I loved what I had — a salad. – I like the look of the place — it’s very spacious with big comfy banquets and there’s a bar if you were wanting to hang with friends.

My boyfriend and I came into Appetito Deli earlier today and enjoyed majority of our appetizers. It’s a bit confusing when walking into the Deli, not knowing if you’re supposed to wait to be seated or go straight to the register– but one of the staff members spotted us and took us to a booth. I ordered an iced coffee, which was good. It was nothing spectacular, but I enjoyed it. The food that we really enjoyed was the Cheese Board and Charcuterie Board. The Charcuterie Board comes with a hefty helping of delicious cured meats, along with some pickled veggies. The Cheese Board was served with bread, almonds, honey, and jam. Both of these appetizers were wonderful. My boyfriend enjoyed the calamari and said it was cooked perfectly. We also ordered Rissoto balls. I’m not entirely sure what they were called, but I wasn’t much of a fan. The service here is good. They were attentive and helpful.
