Worst service ever here. Took an hour and a half just for a salad and fried zucchini. I was sitting near the host, he brought my soda. I sat for SO long waiting for someone to come take my order, I was just about ready to get up and walk out. Someone took my order, brought me the large salad(I always take half or more home for hubby to eat when he gets home from work) and no plate or silverware to eat anything on or with. I was already annoyed and waited for a good 10 min picking at my pathetic zucchini(skin falling off and soggy) to see if he would bother to cone back. Finally the front greeter walked by and I asked him for a plate or bowl for my salad. Then a few min later somebody else came by and asked if I was ok. I told him somebody went to get me dishes so I could eat my food, but I don’t know where they went or who it was. He could tell I was pissed and brought me back a very wet salad bowl… I ate my food & had to wave down the greeter again for a to go box. I was just done with this place. The server brought my check… I put my card on the tray, as he set it down so he could see I was ready to GO! Had to wait another 5 – 10 min for him to bother to come and get it. The Marios off Washington is so much better I doubt I’ll ever come back to this location. They just seem to get so much worse every time I come. Not happy. I love their salad, but seriously tonight it was not worth the hassle!!!

Came here last night and was so delighted! It is a small, quaint restaurant, with a huge outside patio seating area. I ordered a combo plate, consisting of penne Alfredo, which I added shrimp too and raviolis in marinara sauce. I also had a glass of wine which was served in a monstrous glass for $ 5! who wouldn’t be happy about that?. My boyfriend chose Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, which he very much enjoyed. Everything was delicious, I could taste the freshness of the ingredients and the home cooked preparation and the portions were HUGE! Our server was incredibly kind and a true pleasure, unfortunately I did not catch her name. The only thing keeping this review from being a 5 star is the food took a long time to get to us, also our server was slammed! Overall the café could have benefited with a few more helping hands. However, she made sure to fill our waters, not rush us when we ordered, make small talk, and offer to box our food. She is a superstar! We will definitely be back!

We had a great new year’s eve dinner thanks to our server Karen. She was such a delight. Happy, friendly, knowledgeable … she made us feel right at home. The food was fantastic. Such a great last meal in 2015. Thank you Karen for your world class service!

Wow, local chain so I want to support them, but terrible. Sysco central. Frozen pizza dough, really guys! Go to your local supermarket or Giuseppe’s if you want good pizza. Shame on you Mario.

This place is just awesome! I was hoping to find a friendly, inviting small inexpensive Italian place and I found it here. The food was excellent, Karen, our server could not be more friendlier and attentive and their prices are definitely reasonable. We will be back for sure, hope to see Karen there and this time we will come really hungry so we do finish our meals, the portions are very very generous! Came early and had no problem getting a booth, as we were leaving around 630 there were people waiting, seemed like this is where locals go to and that is a good sign. Thumb up!

Tonight was a wonderful night at our favorite little local restaurant. Our server Karen was a true professional and made us feel right at home. It was a celebration for us, my husband’s birthday. The staff made it so special for us! This is why we keep coming back. Thank You!

So happy with our experience here! From Blayne seating us and bringing a hefty glass of cab to the excellent service of Kim’ we had a wonderful experience. We didn’t know what to expect from the reviews — they were mixed — but we could not have been happier. The shrimp was flavorful even in a spicy sauce. It was a bit hot for me and Kim offered to remake it, but I knew it would be delicious the next day and it was! Will definitely be going back next trip!

Omg this place is so good! I loved the marinara sauce! Mmmmmmmmmmm. Kids Mac and cheese was very big for a kids meal and the cheese sauce was a great consistency very tasty. I had the chicken parm with spaghetti and it was a home run. Hubs got sausage cacciatore… Delicious. We also had a giant meatball to share and zucchini. Even the garlic bread was good! Canolis yum and even took a tiramisu home. Spent about $ 50 for all that with a family of 4

Husband brought home their carbonara and a Greek salad for me. Carbonara had soooo much dried basil in it. since when do you use basil in a pasta with white sauce? You use garlic and white pepper, gosh!!! It had some cheap ham pieces, I mean quality is horrible. My salad looked off the next day. It had like 2 oz water at the bottom!!! Come on guys!!! That’s really low!!!

My friend and I went for lunch this week. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and she ordered the Lasagna. Both were not good. I had at least a ½ cup of oil at the bottom of my bowl. She not no meat. The salad was okay. For forty plus dollars we will not be going back.

We love their sandwiches. Never had anything else so that is all I can comment on and the service is acceptable. Torpedo sandwich that I get is always yummy.

Lasagna is yummy. Our kid loves the pizza. We also like the cannoli! Great service. Casual atmosphere. Reliably good entrees. What’s not to love?

Mario’s is very close to my home in Palm Springs. I wandered in last year to give things a try, and was pleasantly surprised. It’s now one of my «GoTo» places for a decent meal. There’s nothing complicated or subtle about the menu… it’s your basic pasta-and-tomato-sauce-kinda selection, albeit full of many different variations… The portions are massive… even the«Dinner Special» menu, which some servers will tell you is about«half portion» is more than enough food for a very satisfying meal. Favorites of mine include the veal parmigiana and veal picatta… both very well prepared and delicious. If I order the«full sized» meal, I will definitely be taking home enough for a filling lunch tomorrow… One of my favorite things is ordering a glass of wine… okay, it’s kinda crummy wine, but they fill the glass to the ABSOLUTE brim. Its just so silly and fun. As always, the deal-maker/breaker for me is the service. I don’t care how much I enjoy the food, but if a restaurant is lacking in service, I will not be a happy man. Mario’s does a great job in this arena. The waitstaff, hosts, and helpers are all very friendly and accommodating. They have seated me late in the evening and made sure I’ve had a great meal, or squeezed me in during the peak hour, giving me a table and really great service. You have to consider this is a reasonable-priced restaurant in Palm Springs, so you have more than average amount of Senior’s looking for a «deal»(i.e. «cheap) meal… in spite of this, the restaurant is always buzzing and busy. I’ve only seen one person have a lousy time, and the staff still managed her so well… Kudo’s to the team for seriously enjoying their job, and making my meals so pleasant. Like nearly all restaurants in the desert, «Desert Casual» is the dress code… shorts and flip-flops are common. Don’t go here looking for a carefully prepared ragu or risotto… go for a delicious, filling meal, served fast by great folks… you’ll be pleased.

Sorry peeps, but NOT doing this again. Husband got a pizza — chintzy on the ingredients and cheese, and tasted like it was made on a piece of cardboard. We have had better thin crust pizza from many places! I ordered the veal piccata — TOOMUCH garlic! VEALWASTENDER, but couldn’t tell because I couldn’t get past the garlic(and I LOVE garlic!) Also — really loud in here

This restaurant was suggested by our hotel’s concierge during our visit to Palm Springs. It was a bit tricky to find at first because it’s tucked behind other establishments in a big commercial center and once we found it, we saw that there was a wait — a sign that it’s a good food joint. The staff got us seated in the patio since the main dining room was full, and though it was a very cool night, the blazing fire in the fire pit warmed us up quite well. The food was good and very filling and the service was excellent. I will not hesitate to return the next time I visit Palm Springs.

Generous meal of good quality at decent price, more so in resort city. Good service, really good food including a wonderfully rich house-made tiramisu serving genuinely big enough for 2. Compliments on the lasagna and the garlic bread as well. Comfortable outdoor seating with gas heaters and fire pit really enjoyable but for occasionally intrusive traffic noise from adjacent major street. Will definitely return.
