Two brothers are we, on the road from Chicago. We thought this was some of the best Chinese we ever had. Flavorful big portions very polite and prompt delivery service. If I am ever back I am going back. …Open a place in Chicago!!! Only four stars because I don’t know how to give five.

I was super excited to order their eggplant as it is one of my favorites, but then it was mediocre at best.

The fried dumplings were torn and the sauce spilled all over them when the delivery arrived.

Very disappointed. Had egg rolls, edamame, hot and sour soup, and Kung Pow Chicken. Best part of meal was the fried wontons that came with the soup. Will not go back.

Love this place! Ate here like a billion times. It’s the only Chinese food I will eat here in Overland Park!

Soup and egg roll were great. General Tso’s was very dry and watered down with no sauce. I threw it all out after a couple bites and I am someone who will eat a sandwich with a hair in it. This stuff was just not edible. Won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately.

Very friendly over the phone and it’s quick to get to my door. We have been ordering from China Once Express since we moved to the neighborhood a while ago. We’ve always found the dishes to be consistent. They have a wide variety of options and it’s quality food to boot! Try it out.

The restaurant isn’t very clean and the dish I tried(house fried rice) eid have any flavor. Service was fast, but they weren’t very busy either.

Eggrolls and hot and sour soup were amazing. The rest of my dish could use some help, no matter how much sauce there was the flavor was just bland. We got our food to go and sat at a sticky table for a few minutes while we waited. The dining room needs a total makeover, I wouldn’t have wanted to stay and eat there. I’ll be back for a pint of soup! It truly was delicious!

We ordered two general tso chicken dinners at the recommendation of the hotel staff. We received 5 pieces of chicken each and undercooked and flavorless noodles. The only plus was the egg rolls. They were really really good. The food was freshly prepared and hot, I really wish I had my $ 26 dollars back. We didn’t even finish the food, we had to load up and find a drive through.

First time I have ate there… positive the egg rolls were really good, negative other people with me eating my food. I only got to try sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls I look forward to trying more foods.

Sesame chicken was a little dry. Lomein lacked just a little bit of flavor. Pretty good value for what we got/paid. Egg roll was delicious and rice was flavorful. Will go back eventually.

It’s the best you can get in this area for this price. The only downside to China one express is that they do not have fortune cookies. Other than that, I like this place a lot. Specifically the chicken fried rice, teriyaki chicken, chicken lo mein, beef & broccoli, and egg rolls. Plus they deliver super fast, and are always very friendly!

For delivered Chinese with great prices this place has it going on. China One Express is close to my work and several of us go in together on orders. The food is delivered in a good time frame and piping HOT too. I order the Szechuan chicken, steamed rice and crab rangoon. It seems like the specific«hot and spicy» dishes are spicy for people who aren’t into spicy dishes. I ask for extra spicy and it still isn’t as spicy as I would like it but works well enough. There are plenty of veggies served with this dish. They don’t slouch on the chicken portion either. There is plenty of chicken too. Besides delivery, which is awesome for people who can’t get away, they give you 2 crab rangoon. That’s a nice surprise. The rangoon is unexpectedly sweet but good. It’s not too greasy either. A definite thumbs up for their delivery and good food too.

This place is right around the corner from our house. Why haven’t we come here more often? I’m not sure. We were craving Chinese food last Sunday after church and decided to give it a try. Great idea! First of all, the guy who took our orders was very friendly and helpful. He is most likely an owner. Second, the prices are crazy cheap — $ 5.50 — $ 6 for lunch specials with crab rangoon or eggroll? Yes! Third, service was fast. We ordered it to go(next time we will call ahead) and it took about 10 – 15 minutes. Fourth, once we got the food home and ate it — it was great! Plenty of meat, the vegetables were fresh and the sauces were good. The only caveat is that if you like spicy, you need to ask for it to be spicier. Our spicy dishes weren’t very fiery. We will do that next time. FYI — this isn’t authentic Chinese — at least what we ordered wasn’t. This is Americanized Chinese. However, sometimes that is what I crave. We will definitely be back.

I want to do four stars, but I am going to wait and see what I think after more experiences. I used to come here frequently, and I stopped because of the extremely rude woman who answered the phone and worked the register. She would be rude to me on the phone, and she would yell at her employees as if they were stupid. Is she the owner? Geez, I hope not. That being said, when Fan’s switched to a Hong Kong menu, I had to find a suitable Americanized place for my orange chicken and kung pao fix. I called China One and a very polite young man answered and said my order would be ready in ten minutes; it was! I get irritated when I call in an order somewhere and they obviously do not even begin preparing it until I walk in the door. Especially when I am a repeat customer. I was happy to walk in and claim my obscenely large portions of food. The orange chicken pieces are much too large, but it sure is tasty! All white meat and good orange sauce although not spicy. The kung pao chicken uses lots of veggies and chunked chicken breast, unlike many who use dark meat and leave chewy connectibles in it that gross me out. Again, not spicy. Next time I will request it spicier. All in all, I have every intention of being a repeat customer. Jen Jen’s is bland, and Fan’s has fallen off my radar since switching styles. Oh, and I didn’t see the mean lady. Instead, the Chinese man was super nice and thanked me for my business, as did the young man who answered the phone.

After several more visits, I think I shorted them a star, thus the update. Every time I have been in here, the food has been delicious, freshly prepared & served quickly. The owner is about the nicest guy you can imagine & he remembers me even though I don’t come in all that frequently — he greets everybody with a great smile & make you feel welcome. This has become my go-to place for inexpensive lunchtime Chinese. Six bucks gets you an entrée with fried rice & two good-sized crab rangoons. The spice level is definitely midwesternized(is that a word? it ought to be.) but if you ask them to make your dish a little hotter, they’ll be happy to do so. Also, the hot-and-sour soup was just the thing last week when I had to go to work with a headcold & didn’t want to eat much of anything… what a lifesaver!
