Papa Murphy’s Take’n’bake Pizza

Just ordered dinner there tonight. First off the cashier was friendly and attentive. He informed us that the store was out of steak and bacon… I do understand this can happen from time to time so I joked with him about how is that possible and moved on. I ordered pizza, bread sticks and salad. Went and sat down to wait for my food.
This gal with brown hair was on the front line making pizza with her bangs hanging under the visor (completely defeating the purpose of the visor) dangling over the pizza as she made them. She kept blowing it out of her face and moving it out of her face. Fortunately another gal with proper head attire made my pizza. I took my pizza and left.
Later I called to talk to a manager. A female shift leader came to the phone and informed me that the regulations are that they keep the hair off their shoulders and if they touch their hair they need to wash hands and replace gloves. But that the bangs under the visor dangling over the pizza is okay. I even clarified with her and she said the same thing. I then asked what time the store manager is in so I can speak with them and she said he was still in and to hold for him. She then hung up on me. (Makes me wonder if she was the one with the hair problem) I looked up California code 113 969 and it talks about hair being contained. Her hair was not contained!
Over all food was great and all employees looked great besides this one girl. Friendly staff and good food. Although they did forget to give me my salad. But then again I forgot to remind them too so not completely upset there. Hopefully the manager handles this girl with hair issues. And educates their shift leaders on proper hair procedures.

I’ve been going to Papa Murphy’s for several years now since they opened I have never been unhappy well except for when they had that hamburger pizza that was nasty but the employees are always nice place is always clean and the value for your buck is always there and they take food stamps

I actually had coupons and have been wanting to try the Thai Chili pizza!
When I got there, walked in and heard several polite «Hellos». Kind of threw me off, super nice friendly staff, very welcoming! Then I saw the menu and all these new gourmet toppings! WOW, it has been awhile since I ordered from Papa Murphy’s, but this was my first visit to the location in Oroville. I usually go to Yuba City store. I was only planning to order one pizza, but since my coupons said Limit 3 and I could not decide on what to pick, I thought might as well order what I want since I had a bad gambling day :) Treat myself with some pizza!!!
Cool young guy was working the register, patient and friendly! Took my order well. First pizza was Thai Chili without onions, Second pizza was the Spicy Fennel Sausage, I love anything spicy, and Third was the Angus Steak & Roasted Garlic, which I really like garlic! ALL on Delite crust of course, I am a big fan of this THIN skinny crust, it makes me feel like I am saving calories lol. For all 3 pizzas and my coupons, total was $ 32.00 and I was satisfied with that because I can spend close to that amount on one pizza at Round Table or Celestinos!
While I was waiting, there were two other customers before me, so while sitting on the bench, I noticed the girls working were doing a great job, the place was very clean from what I could see, and the whole atmosphere seemed easy going calm, considering it was also Monday night Football. I am sure they had A LOT of Pick Up orders/​call ins for Take Out! Before I knew it, my pizzas were ready :) about 10 minutes time, not long at all.
We decided to only make the first two pizzas! Saved the Angus Steak for next day. The Thai Chili was yummy, I enjoyed the sweet sauce with the combination of chicken and zucchini, a touch of Red pepper flakes. Next time, I’ll have to ask half with onions instead. The Sausage Fennel was delicious, great flavor of spices in the sausage and nice toppings of spinach, sun dried tomatoes, sauce! Both were GREAT, so I am glad I tried them. Looking forward to trying the Angus pizza, Roasted garlics look amazing on this one!
Overall, excellent experience and excellent customer service tonight! Thank you Papa Oro :) Very pleased and will definitely return next time I am in town and in the mood for pizza to take home! Can’t beat the low prices with coupons!
