It’s not as bad as I used to think. It’s Orlando, not New York.

The restaurant formally known as Jade Buffet… now Asian Buffet… is your typical Asian buffet but better. Sushi and Mongolian BBQ make it better. The selection is vast so you can pick what you like or try something new. The food was okay the price was inexpensive. The décor is a bit tired so don’t go expecting anything fancy. Not the best I’ve had, but if you’re out and about shopping and need a quick inexpensive bite to eat with a delicious variety this is your place.

It took me a while to locate this restaurant here on Unilocal.Although the name on here says«China Jade Buffet», I believe it is no longer called that, but I cannot for the life of me remember(or want to remember) the name! With that being said, I went here with my dad, kids and cousin, who is also a fellow Unilocaler– hey Tamara B… and we both couldn’t agree more on how disgusting this place is! Let me say, this is not the 1st time I’ve been here, as I have been for lunch with my parents maybe a couple years ago and the food was not bad. Not bad, but not great. We had just arrived back in town and decided to go there, as it was quick and near the turnpike. It was maybe around 7:30p, and the restaurant was pretty empty besides 2 tables taken. After we were seated, the waitress took our drink order, then told us we can go to the buffet whenever we liked. I waited for everyone to get there food, as I have a 2 year old. and while I was waiting I started to smell this strong bleach smell. After a few minutes, I realized they were mopping the floors in the hall towards the bathroom. I should of left then.lol. The food. The food was HORRENDOUS! It looked(and tasted) like everything had been left out all day! Nothing was replenished while we were there(at this point, why bother?). We asked for«fresh steamed rice», in which the waitress said. it was on the buffet, but we said NO, FRESHLYCOOKEDRICE. Which she then gave us from the back. It was probably the best thing we ate all night there! So, basically, I didn’t eat much. or should I say, I got turned off I didn’t want to eat anymore. Kids didn’t really eat either. It was a waste of money and dinner to go there. I will not be returning. This place is a dump! Oh, and the 1 star. I think that it’s too much for this place. They should feel lucky.

It is now just Asian Sushi Buffet. But aside from the restaurant name change, the food was pretty good… during LUNCH time. But around dinner time, absolutely terrible. The guy who cooked the mongolian didn’t even want to cook. I can’t complain if it’s only 8 bucks and you get unlimited sushi But. Definitely worth what you pay for. I like the food selection, but i wish i liked the taste too. I’m sure there’s other buffets worth visiting.

Not a China Jade anymore. It’s an Asian Buffet. BASEDONANOLDVISIT… like, 2 years ago. It used to be a China Jade– same family(I assume– some ties for sure) between the one on I drive, and the one kind of off of Colonial, west of Semaron). Hasn’t been a China Jade for over a year. Disregard the two stars. That’s what it rated last time I was there. At best. I drove past it tonight to eyeball it; I wound up going back to the much cleaner, newer, classier, overall just better China Jade on I drive, just north of Sand Lake. I could only give this CJ2 stars, as the buffet tables weren’t very hot(lukewarm), the selection looked and tasted like it’d been left out a long time. The fixtures were functional. But, remember, it’s been a couple of years since I went here. It just wasn’t worth going back to. SO. If it has in fact changed hands, not just the name, and is now a(better run) Asian Buffet, please consider going to it, and ignoring this. Remember– the sign used to say China Jade. It doesn’t now. Sorry for the confusion. I’m actually just trying to help.

Very happy I stumbled upon this place a while ago. Most chinese buffets I have experienced are nasty and the food is gross so needless to say that my expectations were low when I first tried this place for lunch one day with some coworkers. A very pleasant surprise though, a very large buffet with fresh and tasty chinese food! The place looks like a typical chinese restaurant dive from the outside and the inner décor is nothing to write to mom about but the food is good and it is always full and fresh. Very good variety and they even have a sushi area and a mongolian grill. The sushi really isn’t all that good(no shock there for a chinese buffet) and the regular buffet has always more than satisfied me so I’ve never ventured to try the mongolian grill. I’ve never been much for buffets in general but this place gets me coming back. I haven’t been to such a good chinese buffet since I lived in NY so I’m happy to recommend China Jade.
