Goodbye Hu-Hot, hello India 4 U! This newly opened Indian restaurant is essentially Hu-Hot, with Indian food instead of Asian food. I think just about everything is the same except for the food and the personnel. The style of food traverses all of India, North and South. To keep it simple on this first visit, I opted for the lunch buffet which I was happy to learn was $ 7.95. The buffet was more than adequate with choices. At least 5 vegetarian dishes and 3 meat dishes were available. Dal Mahkni, Chana, Eggplant curry, Mutter paneer and a couple I wasn’t familiar with. Meat dishes included Chicken Tikka and Goat Vindaloo. The items change daily, so you try new things on future visits with your sweetie. A cook makes FRESH naan bread for you. I found this to be ever so rewarding! Vegetable pakora was the only appetizer I believe, but that’s pretty standard. There is a salad bar section, which also housed a large assortment of sauces(tamarind chutney, mint sauce, yogurt, etc) and hot peppers. There was mango ice cream for dessert. Most of the dishes were tasty, but not mind-blowing. I would definitely go back again to get my Indian food fix, as it is closer for me to go here than to schlep out to I-Drive or Altamonte. Service was a bit lacking. The manager was friendly and inviting, but my server that day was non-existent. He didn’t return to my table once. Just because I ordered the buffet doesn’t mean you can leave me for dead. Come get these dirty plates and refill my water! They need to work on this.
