CJ’s is a regular meeting spot for hikers and bicyclists. They make great smoothies, sandwiches, coffee, and pastries. It’s a friendly place to chill out.

CJ Coffee House is very convenient for me; I stop by every morning before my 7:30AM class for cheap, but tasty breakfast. Before CJ’s, I’d never been so excited for breakfast. At 6AM, the staff is so cheerful! They’re truly a delight. There’s also plenty of room inside for studying or catching up with a friend over brunch. My usual order is the Cali Veggie on a jalapeño cheese bagel and English breakfast tea. The Cali Veggie bagel consists of tomato, avocado, cream cheese and lemon pepper and gosh, it is so delicious. I’m not entirely sure why or how such simple ingredients can taste so good together, but I’m glad that I discovered this. Bottom line: really great breakfast/brunch food — be sure to get up early, usually 2 – 3 parties of people are here by 6:45AM.

Although this is one of the best hidden little secrets, you need to get there early. All of there bagels are fresh and they only carry a limited supply each day. If you’re not there by 8 am, most everything, bagel wise, will be gone. They also don’t take American Express so the three of us don’t get by as often as we would like. The wraps are very tasty as well. The two stars are for the lack of bagel supply. I love the Cali veggie on cheese onion. So does everyone else apparently. Stop by at 7am and you’re sure to pick from a great selection of bagels. This is mostly a quick breakfast place with great food and coffee. I just wished that that catered a little more to the customers needs than trying to limit their inventory, but then again I’m only a customer and not the owner.
