Tru Bru is a nice spot and feels very hip and modern in a quiet part of Orange. They have good coffee that is convenient for me to get everyday on my ride to work. Where they fall short is their service. They are nice and greet me amicably, but they are just so slow. The lines move without urgency and they never have more than one cashier even though they have 2 registers. I will often order a drink and baked good when I visit, and on my last trip there they forgot to get my food to me after I reminded them of what I ordered. After being told to wait longer, the cashier still didn’t get my food until i stood at the bar to remind her. I never even got an apology. Tru Bru can be great, but until they optimize their service, I will always think twice of stopping in for a coffee.

Can’t believe I have not written a review for this place yet. My wife and I have been coming here for a while now as it is in the neighborhood and fantastic since Day 1. We are creatures of habit but they make a great latte and the lemon scone is the best I have ever had. Also, the staff does get to know you and you definitely see a crowd of regulars once you go often enough. My only request would be to open at 6:30. =) Those early office days I cannot get my TruBru fix. Also, come early on the weekends for a great place for breakfast. It does get pretty crowded after 8ish but they have great breakfast sandwich, good breakfast burrito, and a very comfortable atmosphere.

Have been back two more times and am officially hooked. Their vegan strawberry cupcake is amazing with a cup of tea — earl gray was delicious and the loose leaf tea is served in an organic tea bag. Love the California scrambler with bacon and avocado. The bakery items are warned by a fire since they do not use a microwave. Love this! Sat at the communal table this morning which has comfy stool seats and a nice view of the horse trails outside. Love the orange soap and coconut lemon lotion in the ladies room. Attention to detail :) Previous review: Met one of my girlfriends here for breakfast Saturday morning and the place was packed! The inside was adorable with inspirational quotes, tables, and communal seating but almost all the seats were taken both in and outdoors. We ordered about 9:50 am and were given a 30 minute estimated wait time for food. By the time the food came we had found a vacated spot inside by the fireplace. The bacon burrito had tasty fillings but it would have been nice if the tortilla had been heated and crisped slightly. My friend got the California scrambler with avocado and bacon. I would order that next time since we plan to come again. Everyone was kind and the huge windows had lovely trees. Every seat had a good view. While we were outside waiting for a seat to open up we saw horses ride by which was a treat. I loved the postage stamps that had been made into wall art. Next time I intend to meet up earlier before my morning coffee so I can try a latte here since it appears they do pretty latte art. The scones also look enticing but I did not get one on our first visit since we did not know what portion sizes to expect and didn’t want to be overly stuffed. All in all a little pricy but worth the wait for the quality ingredients and amiable service. We will definitely be back again to try more menu items! Keep up the good work and the happy vibe!

It was my first visit here. Found in on Unilocal actually searching«breakfast burritos» so i came to give it try. I loved it! It’s so neat and different. Everything is freshly made and they make organic coffee. & coolest thing I ever came across was the«boxed water» thought that was neat. I ordered the Four Berry smoothie. Made with fresh fruit. And I of course ordered the Breakfast Burrito. My order was to go & i wish had a bottle of tapatio for it but it was still really good! I already told my boyfriend, best friend & aunt about it. And can’t wait to come back and try some other stuff. I saw someone sitting next to me with the avocado toast. Omg looked so good! & you can also request to have them put eggs on it but that won’t be on the menu. The staff was friendly. Only thing I wish… since it was my first visit, that they would have gone the extra mile to let me know at the time of my order that my smoothie would come out first and that the food usually takes a little longer. Sometimes going that extra step is nice, especially for newbies. When they called my smoothie after waiting a while(which they were busy) I didn’t see the burrito at the«pick up» station so I sat back down and then after sitting for a while longer wondered to myself if I was supposed to tell them I had a burrito too when I got my smoothie. I asked one of the workers and that’s when she said the food takes a little longer. Which was fine. Just wasn’t sure how it all worked. But I will definitely be coming back.

Came here for a coffee date with my girlfriends on a Monday and it was surprisingly busy. It seemed like a lot of locals come here to study and hang out. We ordered drinks and the avocado toast, denver scramble, cinnamon cake, and lavender scone. I had the vanilla chai which was pretty good! Out of all the food, my favorite was the lavender scone which was fragrant and not too sweet. We saw someone else’s avocado toast that had scrambled eggs on it and thought it came with it, but it doesn’t. You have to request it! Overall, everything was okay but nothing too special.

I came here with colleagues to study for an upcoming test, the atmosphere here is freaking SWEET, this is a great coffee shop, nice warm and inviting spaces, wonderfully decorated, COMFY sofa’s and the list goes on. I was pleasantly surprised by their drink offerings, I ordered an iced chai latte which was THEBEST I HAVEEVERHAD, the drink tasted so amazingly fresh and well put together, I followed this up with an all natural organic ginger ale. What an experience that was, one of the best organic soda’s I have ever had. I then ordered a grilled cheese and finished with a vegan apple cake. DEARLORD the apple cake was amazing. I seriously wanted to eat 5 of them… but myfitnesspal reminded me of my desire to occasionally take my shirt off at the beach in the future… So anyways, I cannot wait to find an excuse to return! I drove from fullerton and the Chai latte ALONE justified the trip!

Came here after a hike. The place is very cute and reminded me of «Starbucks» vibe. A very hidden place. Since it was my first time, I didn’t know that the kitchen closes at 2pm. I got there at 2:10pm and ordered a breakfast ham burrito. The young nice lady informed me that the kitchen is closed but will check with the chef if they can maybe make it. Less than 5 seconds she said it was ok. YASSS!!! I also ordered mocha coffee. Breakfast burrito and mocha coffee was amazing! The staff is very friendly and they even let me try samples of their teas. I like that they give you recommendations and try to help you. I’m very indecisive when it comes down to what tea to drink. I didn’t like that the table seats are limited. There was only a few. I noticed a lot of college students were there to study. I’m def. coming back for their coffee and def. coming alone to study since I’m a college student myself.

Second visit. I recommend the Italian cap for robust drink. Also, beautiful cups from notNeutral. The demitasse spoon is the clincher.

This place has a cool vibe serving organic coffee and tea. Funny thing is, I haven’t had either here. I enjoy coming for their wonderful salad and sandwich dishes. The place is trendy with a couch and fireplace in the corner. There are only a few tables available for outdoor dining which are usually taken unless you get there early.

Oh my goodness!!! Cute little place tucked away, almost where u can’t readily see or find, off chapman. Vibe of a Starbucks meets modern day mom & pop coffee spot. Staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. Food(breakfast) was just right. Coffee/lattes come with those darling foam designs. Dog friendly(outside). Definitely coming back again and again. :)

Best Coffee shop in OC In my opinions hands down. So it’s organic and I really love this place, This is a place I will drive down from my house and go any time of day. It’s a brunch and coffee place but usually I eat before coffee so I haven’t eaten here yet but plan to in the near future. The place is very beautiful inside, all well kept and beautiful decorum, very inviting to sit and drink a cup of coffee. I ordered a vanilla late, and a scone and It was still around like 6 bucks, so it wasn’t too bad. The Servers are really cool and they will give recommendations, and they really go out of their way to help you, I’m usually a person that has a hard time deciding what I want but they are all nice so I liked it. If you happen to be in the Orange area definitely go here.

This place was very busy Sunday morning. I came with two friends and we had a difficult time finding seating. The line was long and a little chaotic. It was confusing because the cashier was also a good runner. So it made the line longer. I ordered the vanilla latte and my friends got the chai latte. Both were super good! The barista was a nice man who was super good and coffee art. It did take awhile to get our coffees but it was busy so understandable. We also got the lavender scone and a strawberry scone. Both were probably the best thing we ordered. It was different and the scone wasn’t overt dry like other places. We also got breakfast burritos. They were okay. Nothing overly special. The décor was really pretty and modern. I enjoyed the light fixtures and the lay out of the store. Their outside tables and chairs are comfortable and the succulents on each table was a nice added décor.

I’m never in this part of oc, but I was impressed with this semi-rural neighborhood. The soy cappuccino was delicious! Right amount of froth and silky smooth. I had the lox on wheat toast. It was topped with cream cheese, capers, red onion, and a generous amount of dill. Also very good. Cute little coffee shop with indoor, outdoor, and counter seating. They also serve beer and wine. Great place for some casual breakfast before heading over to the Irvine regional park to burn it off. Clean environment and friendly staff.

A friend of mine suggested that I try Tru Bru Organic Coffee, so I decided to make the drive to Orange last night. And I’m so glad my friend recommended me this café. The interior is super clean and simple. They have couches and a fireplace near the entrance if you just want to read and chill as well as tables and chairs on the other side if you want to study and hangout with friends. It’s not the most«hipster» coffee place, but it’s definitely classy. They even have seating outside with little succulents on each table which was a creative idea. Also, don’t worry about parking because there are a lot of space which is nice. They had nitro cold brew and regular cold brew, but after a long debate in my head, I decided to go with the cold brew. They roast their own coffee beans on site everyday, so you know its fresh. After taking a sip, I noticed that it was pretty acidic and bitter, but regardless still tasted really good. And for its price($ 3.50 for a 24 oz.), it’s a steal knowing that you’ll be drinking a fresh and organic high quality coffee. I can’t wait to go back and try their nitro. This café is near Santiago Canyon College, so expect a lot of college students. I’ve heard it gets pretty crowded with college students studying, but I guess I went on a pretty good day because it was pretty empty when I went. They have free wifi which is always a plus and I was able to get a lot of work done. I may have to come back again soon with finals coming up soon!

Great coffee and breakfast spot. Everything about this place is awesome, the atmosphere is inviting&relaxing, every employee is pleasant, food is good & the coffee is amazing. But…what I care about most is the coffee. I have ordered lattes & regular black coffee from here. Lattes are awesome, foam is perfect&the spro shines in milk. There’s this one barista with a scruffy beard that has sick latte art skills. I envy him. The coffee is good, I usually only like pour over black coffee but this stuff is good. Better than any coffee I’ve had any batch brew. I recommend taking a nice hike/bike/run at either Santiago Oaks or Irvine park then grabbing coffee&breakfast here. Dog friendly front patio, as well!

Visited Tru Bru over the weekend for breakfast & it was SO.GOOD. The atmosphere was really chill. People were sitting around reading the paper, studying, etc. Wish I had a place like this to study at when I was in school! FOOD: I got their breakfast burrito w/bacon. It has bacon, 3 eggs, cheese, peppers, & potatoes. The burrito looks small but don’t let it fool you. I was quite full after eating half but it was so good I had to eat the other half. It’s those potatoes that get ya! lol DRINKS: My go to is the iced hazelnut latte. It’s not too sweet, which I love. I would say the best part is the ice. It’s like crushed/slushy ice. Something about slushy ice makes a drink that much better. I really wish I lived closer to this café because I’d be a frequent visitor! Weekend trips there will have to suffice.

The breakfast, lunch, and late eats menus are always good. I was here for the third time yesterday, and enjoyed an almond milk vanilla latte and the caprese. Both were amazing, but the caprese was the best I’ve had, anywhere! Fresh mozzarella, tomato and perfectly rich pesto on baguettes that actually won’t cut your gums up. The ambience is easy going, service is great, and pricepoints to match. Parking up front is not aplenty, but a quick employment of your legs is never a bad thing.

Great coffee, tasty health food options and laid back ambience. Take a break by the fireplace or breakout your MacBook and slave away at the wagon-wheel desktop. The murals of Rio De Janeiro and African post cards give TRUBRU an authentic coffee shop feel. Let the creativity flow here or join friends for breakfast or lunch. But be assure, it will fill up! Suggestions: Breakfast sandwich with chicken sausage on whole wheat toast paired with a caramel café latte.

After hiking Peters Canyon, I was craving some good coffee & this place definitely hit the spot! I ordered a hot latte with almond milk & it was delicious! The place itself is pretty big and spacious! Love the décor as well. It’s great to meet up with friends or even study. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday afternoon! Overall cool vibes, friendly staff & ambience
