Have only come this location three times and last time during lunch was busy so I decided to check in online by suggestion from the stylist. I did and wait time was 88 minutes so I waited an hour and fifteen minutes and drove there. Upon arriving I was on the screen and one person that checked in online was ahead but not there yet. After 5 minutes, I should have been the next person inline but was skipped over and the stylist took someone else. I then asked why do I check in online if I am unable to go first since that person was not someone online where it showed me on the 2 position and then in the 3. She said it shouldn’t have happened and apologized. I told her to take my name off the list and they have now lost my loyalty as a customer forever!

Forget everything your mother told you about getting your hair cut. Twenty minutes at Great Clips will make the dorkiest, bowl-cutttyest individual look like a Greek God. There’s no way for me to describe my hair after my Great Clips experience other than«golden waves of grain.» Chelsea – the stylist who had her way with my sorry, mulletted head – must have the Midas touch because my locks are now a luscious prize. Shortly after MY haircut experience, I took my cat to get its hair cut there. It became a lion. Do yourself a favor and visit this national treasure before it’s too late. All hail Great Clips.

My other half has had some really bad(mens) haircuts from many of the chain cutterys while living on the East coast and we have since been skeptical of all chains. However with his beloved Chinatown $ 10 haircut now being a thing of the past, we needed to find something equally effective and inexpensive in town(he refuses to pay more than $ 20). We’ve been going to Lincoln when convenient– where there are some affordable($ 14) Vietnamese salon/barbers, but since no trip there is in the very near future– Great Clips it is. This location today was run by two Hispanic women who were very professional and had enough warmth to be friendly but not so much as to ask too many personal questions while cutting hair. Maria listened to what he wanted and would cut a little at a time and ask frequently if he was happy with his appearance. I liked that she took it slow and asked him that instead of getting buzzer and shear happy and hacking away. Men can rarely explain in words the exact cut they want«uhh just a trim… clean it up?»…meaning something between 1 – 3 inches? By pausing and asking after snipping a little at a time, it was just easier to communicate what he wanted. The end cut was even, no razor burns or cuts on his neck, and no little hairs in every visible neck crease. $ 14 before tip. 15 min wait before being seen as a walk in. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the end product, which I have never said before about a chain. I think we will be looking for Maria again if he needs another haircut in Omaha.

Had a terrible experience here. My husband and I both went for haircuts. I was assigned a man and my husband got a woman. We probably should have asked to switch, but did not want to be difficult customers. My hair stylist could not stop telling me how tired he was and how he just could not get himself going that day. He had only been up until 1AM with his friends, why would he be tired? Then he started telling me about his 11 year old son who had wanted to be a vegetarian since he was 9… oh no, sorry, he meant his son wanted to be a VETERINARIAN! Besides all the odd conversation, he did not wash my hair, only spritzed it a little so it was not very wet. He also obviously did not understand basic hair styling concepts because he used regular clips instead of duckbill clips to trim the lower layers of my hair. When he took those out the top layers had a kink in them and he never bothered to get my hair wet enough to fix that! He also did not even offer to blow dry my hair so I walked out looking much worse than I did when I walked in. That man should not be styling hair — he should be fired.

I’ve had mixed experiences going to places like Great Clips. Sometimes I get a great haircut, sometimes I get home and realize the left side of my hair is an inch longer than the right. At this particular Great Clips, however, I’ve not had that problem. The ladies(apologies to any gents who may work there, I’ve never seen you) are consistent and do a great job for such a cheap haircut. I can’t speak for their ability to do elaborate styles, but for guys who just want a simple cut, this is a solid choice.
