Scooter’s Coffeehouse

4^th car in line for an iced coffee 30 minutes later I get an iced tea. Fail in every aspect scooter just fail never going back.

First off, I have to say I love that Scooter’s is a local chain giving Starbucks a run for its money. Still, the coffee, fancy drinks and sweet treats are all pretty average.
I went to this location near Aksarben Village for a small Americano with an extra shot (my go-​to when I know the house blends are bland). Well, it tasted OK, despite the fact they overcharged me for it. Hey, it happens.
Is this Scooter’s any different from the others? Not really. Will this Scooter’s do if you need a place to relax and use the wifi while satisfying your coffee fix? Absolutely.
Note that starting in spring, they’ll have a full service froyo set up. Is that a game changer? Perhaps.

This scooters restaurant is amazing! They always have great coffee and they always seem to have friendly staff. My husband and I love coffee so this has been a great experience.

Don’t come here for the fro yo. They produced only liquid. The employees were busily apologetic (with no line), didn’t even look at the machines to see what was wrong and seemed unsurprised. I glanced at the yogurt machines surreptitiously and they were definitely in nighttime mode. Seemed like it would’ve been so easy to flick the switch to «day.»
Oh, also they said they were selling the machines to one of their Texas locations. I would guess they never clean them based on the reaction to the machines not working. All around, gross.
On the other hand, girlfriend says best latte ever, so giving this place two stars instead of one (twice as many!).

Typical Scooter’s, good service, great drinks. Took me a second trip here to know it was on par with the other Scooter’s in Omaha. First trip it took me 10 minutes to order while the two girls working finished their conversation. Guess it all depends who’s working when you go there. Last time was excellent.

I was grossed out and disappointed with my visit to this Scooters. I went inside to get a coffee and was REALLY excited to see they have a frozen yogurt bar. Obviously, I ended up getting froyo instead of coffee.
I got three different flavors. Triple Chocolate – OK tasting. Salted Carmel Pretzel – WEIRD but tasty. Peanut Butter – yummy. Each time I started to get a new flavor I would get melted ice cream on my shirt because it would fly everywhere. The frozen yogurt was the best part.
The toppings were the gross part of this trip. The toppings on the left side of the bar were fine and are the ones I used. The toppings on the right side of the bar were the cut up candy bars, which were melted, stuck together, had a glossy look, AND had fruit flies. Why were there fruit flies? Because the fresh fruit was right next to it with TONS of fruit flies buzzing about.
Needless to say, I will not be going back to this Scooters. If they are letting bugs fly all over the food, I wonder what else is going on there that would make my stomach turn.

I love Starbucks… and this used to be a Starbucks so I’m kinda sad about that but with that said I love this Scooters! The espresso here is really good with hints of citrus. It’s a great place to study or chill too. There are lots of outlets and places to sit. The bathrooms are clean and the barista’s friendly. Most of all, the wifi is free and fast! The only knock is it closes early at 9pm.
