Feast for one, as good as I remember! Having lived in Texas for several years now it sure was nice eating here! Love all the different sauces!

Sick! Bone in shredded bbq chicken. Need I say more. But wait… I gonna anyway! They catered an event I went to and it was all wrong. The veggies were even bad. How do you mess up carrot sticks! Oh I will tell you how! Cut them a week in advance and then serve them. Why not serve a yummy yogurt dip to go with the fruit but let’s not refrigerator it so I can be super runny to dip the fruit in. The dessert. No clue what it even was! Still don’t know. It was a pile of runny mess and no thanks in a boring chocolate chip cookie! The corn bread muffin was the only thing edible. That was even a stretch. I don’t even think they deserve a star!

Haven’t been here in over a year so decided to try it again. Ordered the Georgia pork dinner with the fries and Wilber beans. The pork was so salty and dry, it was inedible. The beans were not worth repeating, but the fries were okay. Because the meat was so salty and dried out, I had to give only one star. I won’t be coming back.

Really good food, friendly staff, clean and taken care of restaurant. Not very much food for the money you spend though, wish they wouldn’t be so stingy and give you a little more. My fiancé and I got pork and steak sandwiches with 2 sides each spent over 30.00 and you’d think that would have filled us up but we still went somewhere else and ate again. overall it’s a good place to eat.

Brittany, thanks for a pleasant experience. Good food, good service! Dave’s famous margarita is one of the better ones I’ve had.

Great barbecue at a reasonable but not«cheap» price point. Great service, and who doesn’t love being told to wipe the sauce off their face? Famous Dave’s is a «can’t miss».

I went here to try Country chicken with mac & cheese and fries. The mac&cheese was one of the best I’ve had and the lemon-roasted chicken was perfect when paired with Devil’s spirit sauce. I also had traditional chicken wings with pineapple rage sauce and they were really good. Our waiter Freddy was great too. I would definitely come here again.

This place is cool but nothing to write home about. Drinks are extremely weak but the food was good and the service fine. My basic review is that this place is a chain.

We recently went there to eat and the host didn’t even take our name. He just told us they were«really full» and didn’t offer to take our name. We have eaten there many times and love the barbecue and were willing to wait, but we left feeling like they didn’t really want our business that day since after all, they were«full». From now on we will go to the one on Maple, a little further, but perhaps they aren’t too busy to take our name at least so we could wait. Great food, but lousy customer service or at least poor training or the host. We ended up at a nearby restaurant«cilantros» and dropped a hundred dollars. Famous Dave’s loss was definitely their gain.

I am a fan of Famous Daves. I don’t jump and down for the management company that runs this location, but I thought we would give it a try. We arrived around 2pm to eat lunch. There was a little wait, we opted for a high top in the bar to avoid the wait. A few minutes we waited and a host came to say that service was a but busy and asked if he could get drinks for us. I was impressed. The server swung by and said, I need to get some food out, I’m a little busy and I will be right back to help you. I was VERY impressed. Our drinks promptly came. Keith(server) came back to get our order. He was VERY personable and we all clicked right away. He «gets it»(taking care of others…) A friend of ours joined us late, we ordered a head for him, after our order was put in(like 10 – 15 minutes.) When the food came out, the extra order was like 2 minutes behind ours. I was VERYVERY impressed. Drink refills were never an issue, our dirty dishes were removed and LIFE as we know it was GREEEAT! I asked to speak to a manager to let her know how wonderful our«vacation» was. Keith is rock star. He delivers WOW service. I will try this location again. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. Restrooms were clean(but smelly), service was A+

Fair enough BBQ served by a bunch of kids who seem to be constantly apologizing for why the appetizer came after the entrée or, to the next table over, why the ribs are not«fall off the bone». I can’t understand why there is a wait to get a table considering the overall quality and service of this rib joint.

This chain has the WORSTBBQ I have ever had… The meat is ALWAYS tough, they have no idea how to actually make BBQ that has less than 10 lbs of sugar in the sauce. Don’t know where they bought the recipe but it’s CERTAINLY not someone who actually knows anything about BBQ. Anyone who thinks that garbage is good has never had REALBBQ.(Head to Oklahoma Joe’s in KC; theirs is not bad at all) REALBBQ is supposed to FALLCLEANOFFTHEBONE… You smoke it for at least 8 hours, very low & slow, so you get a good smoke ring and a good char. Instead, these idiots get some of the meat down right off the hoof and cook it at about 425 for an hour so it comes out tough as shoe leather. NOTHANKYOU! Whenever a customer brings it to a meeting, I get my own food…

When Austin’s moved out, I would have never guessed another restaurant that could make a PETA member physically ill would take its place. Thanks to Famous Dave’s, the unexpected has become reality. The best part is that unlike the Lakeside location, I didn’t have to wait an hour for a table. Similar to many restaurants I’ve visited, they’ve decorated the walls with enough stuff to triple the fire hazard. It’s actually not a bad thing unless the walls start to become more barbequed than the meat they serve. Speaking of the meat, they have a lot of it. If you don’t like big portions of meat, then may I suggest McDonald’s? With many meals, two side dishes accompany your choice of meat. I ordered the rib tips and was impressed with the serving sizes and the quality of my meal. Even the macaroni is spicier than what you’d get from Kraft. Not enough BBQ on your ribs? They have multiple flavours of sauce on the table, along with paper towels. For the financially strained and health nuts out there, Famous Dave’s might not be a good match. I mean, who expects slow-cooked meat to be dirt cheap? And I’m sure after considering what I ate(rib tips, mac and cheese, corn bread muffin, corn, and green beans, with lemonade), a bowl of salt, movie theater«butter», and a whole cow would have similar nutritional value. But I don’t go out to eat for«health reasons». Anybody who does deserves to be laughed at; but either way, I celebrated a birthday here and it was reason enough to splurge. They do give you ice cream on your birthday too, by the way.

You can’t write about barbecue in Omaha without mentioning Famous Dave’s. They provide a consistently good serving of their offerings, and the quality control is good, so that there’s hardly ever a bad dish. My favorites from Dave’s are the brisket and the catfish fingers. I tend to shy away from the rib tips — too much work for what you get. Smoked chicken is good, and the ribs are always tasty. Dave’s sauces are staples of the dining room, and while they are award winning, they’re getting a little long in the tooth. They don’t have the texture and flavor of a home made sauce, probably because they’re made in such large quantities. Always a fun place to take the family for an evening meal. No one goes away hungry.

I’ve been to Famous Dave’s twice and both times it has been alright. The portions are good and the taste is okay but it isn’t fantastic. I have never left here feeling very impressed. I guess that’s what to be expected when you visit a huge BBQ chain though. As far as service goes, it’s always been pretty good.

Famous Dave’s is a good place to eat. I have never eaten at any of their Omaha locations and had a «bad» experience. The service is always good and the food tastes as it should, and tastes quite good for a chain BBQ joint. Of course, most independently-owned/operated BBQ shacks will serve BBQ that will blow FD out of the water, but this place gets the job done. The best time to dine at FD is at lunch, where they offer combo platters at a reduced price(with reduced portions, of course). As it is, again, a BBQ joint, dinner prices overall are not the cheapest in town, but I give high marks for the value of what you pay versus what you get. My favorite menu item is the sweetwater catfish. They also serve southern-style sweet iced tea, which you don’t see too much of in the midwest, and that alone is worth a visit!

They took the old Austin’s and remodeled it into a Famous Dave’s. The front and décor is different but the dining area is about the same. As far as a chain goes, this is the best BBQ you’re going to find. This location is no exception. The food was great, the service was spot on and the bill was even better. They have the Dinner for Two(or three) for $ 19.99 on Tuesdays. Ended up getting that and everything was great. All for twenty bucks…
