Wow absolutely amazing Brisket. Huge portion of meat on the Brisket sandwich!

Decided to give this place a shot when they came to my office for lunch. I ordered the tacos, one brisket and one pulled pork. The tacos come with your choice of meat, shredded cheese, pico, and slaw. I am someone who doesn’t typically enjoy coleslaw and requested it on the side. I was pretty disappointed to find my tacos smothered in slaw but thankfully it’s not your typical mayo packed slaw so it wasn’t too bad. I will say that while I didn’t mind the taste of the slaw, I still wish it would’ve been placed on the side since it ran everywhere and left me with soggy tortillas. The meat was decent, nice and tender but nothing too special. I don’t know if it was the slaw and pico but I wasn’t getting the smokey flavor I love from the meat. The prices on some items are a bit high by food truck standards. A double meat plate with two sides(no drink) will cost you $ 16. They do skimp on the BBQ sauce as well, you get a tiny container(about a Tbsp) per meat, I requested extra BBQ and to my surprise received none. Decent food truck with lots of meat options but not worthy of a second stop for me.

Finally. Yes… finally a good BBQ place that is not too far from where I work. They are located in the Auto Zone parking lot in Millard on 136th& Q Streets Tuesday-Saturdays 11 – 5:30. I believe they just started their food truck within the last year, and when I heard about it I could not wait to try it. What really caught my attention was on their Facebook page they made mention of the fact that they make Texas style BBQ. I tasted my first smoked brisket in Austin years ago and was head over heals about it. Since then I have not found similar brisket in Nebraska… until now. The thing that makes Texas brisket different than brisket you get around here is that it is smoked without trimming the fat. Yes… there is some fat on this brisket but that is exactly where the flavor comes from! I ordered the brisket, rib ends and a pulled pork sandwich because I wanted to try everything. I now have enough food for 3 or so meals, but so happy I did. The brisket brought me right back to the first time I had it in Austin. Delish! Moist and juicy with a great smoky flavor. The rib ends were a surprise… lots of meat on those little bites. The pulled pork made me quite happy as well… juicy, smoky with hints of bark throughout. I had beans for the side, and they were just okay but I really didn’t care! The meat also comes with a side of their own bbq sauce. I fully intended to use my own favorite BBQ sauce when I decided I wanted to add it to the meat, but when I tasted theirs I stuck with it. Good stuff. It’s a food truck but a bonus is they accept credit cards so no need to try to find an ATM before you visit. I highly recommend a visit to try out their BBQ!
