Oceanside Fades

i came in to get my hair cut in honor of Armed Forces Day. I got my first military hair cut as I never had the honor of serving in the Military.
Lisa appreciated and understood my mission and was incredibly helpful in giving me an excellent hair cut, a flat top. The atmosphere and personal touch helped make it an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Came in on a friends suggestion and enjoyed my cut there. Barber’s are friendly and can hold a good conversation. Almost had an issue with my line up but in the end came out looking good.

Best barber shop in DT oside. Very spacious, great staff, cuts for your whole family, good music, free washes!

This place is Great. The girls have such personality! They are always quick and efficient. My husband is in here every Saturday for a cut and shave. I get a color and cut once a month with Mesa «Melissa» she is super sweet and she always does a fantastic job! Ladies if you are in need of a good stylist call up there and make an appointment.

Jessica does my hair and shes amazing. shes professional, funny and sweet. you can really tell she takes pride in her work. I always get compliments on my hair color and have referred many friends to her. this is a awesome shop!

A nice shop, very open which is nice considering how cramped some of the other shops in O-​side are.
I don’t go to one particular barber, just whoever is available, and I am always satisfied with my hair cut! I also get a face shave once a week (regular razors tear up my skin). If you have never had a straight razor shave I would definitely recommend it!
Price point is good (I am a civilian). Yes there are cheaper shops around, however after a bad experience at one close to here, I’m willing to pay a couple extra bucks to get a good hair cut.
I have ZERO complaints about Oceanside Fades and will remain a loyal customer for as long as I live in O-​side.
Just remember Sundays are PACKED with the Marines so I would say go during the week if you are civilian to avoid waiting too long.

I’ve been going to this place for 8 or so weeks. I recently had an unpleasant experience, but was addressed personally by the manager. Since then, the staff seem to be more genuine. My go to is Melissa, but most recently Summer gave me a great cut.

I am a weekend regular and the staff and management are always welcoming and I most defiantly get and amazing hair cut every week that I am proud to show off they don’t make me feel like I am invisible they ask me questions and make me feel like I am apart of their little family! I have also witnessed other people come in from other shops and have to get there hair redone because the barbershop they went to before ruined it or didn’t do it right! They also have an amazing rewards plan where if you spend $ 110.00 you get a free haircut and getting a free hair cut is always nice when you have to get a hair cut every weekend. They do take a little bit more time on my haircut then other barbershops have in the past but it reassures me that I am getting a great hair cut! There are a lot of barbershops in downtown Oceanside and out of all of them I would choose Oceanside fades! If I could give this barber shops a hundred stars I would because all of the other shops in town don’t even compare and they have some of the most amazing service and all of the ladies and gentleman that work there are truly amazing!

Clearly the barbers here care about giving a good haircut. The shop looks like a dive and the music is very random. Maybe I am spoiled from the speed of the haircuts on base but a half hour in the chair is a bit much for me. Like I said before they clearly care about the quality of the haircut however, I’m going to get it cut again in 6 to 7 days. I would rather have a quick haircut so I can return to what’s left of my weekend. Some of the barbers talk about inappropriate things while cutting hair and they talk across the floor to each other while cutting your hair making you feel like you are invisible. I hope today was a fluke and they really don’t discuss the deployment cycles at a barbershop next to a military base.

Melissa is the best barber. She is a very talented stylist.
I have thin hair on top. She cuts my hair to minimize my hair loss. I often get compliments on my haircuts.
I look forward to getting a haircut every two weeks.

Not a bad little shop. It’s obviously in a state of renovation, so I’d be interested to see what it looks like when it’s finished.
Prices aren’t bad, though the weird, sliding scale of pricing for military seems hard to follow.
I don’t really think club jams by the likes of Flo Rida et al belong in a barber shop, so I’d revoke the music privileges from the staff and give it to the management. Just a thought.
I know there’s a boatload of barber shops in the area to choose from, but this seems to be on the larger side and have more chairs. Might make for shorter wait time for those looking for a quick cut.

Very efficient barber shop, getting through droves of guys coming in for their weekly haircuts. The barbers/​stylists are not the most professional, yelling across the floor and dressing inappropriately.
