The homie Manny took me there over a year ½ ago and I’ve been rockin’ with KNH every since, in my experience with Phở restaurants Kevin’s has the most diverse Phở selection and the service is always the quickest no matter how busy and I’ve dinned in at places that are not even a quarter of the size and still they always come up short, this is my go to. If your all about the soup and you don’t have a problem with East Oakland then this will be your goto. Old school, Quality food, Fast service, Big Selection, and inexpensive like Phở is supposed to be… fyi if your paying 12−13+$ for a large regular ass bowl of Phở your probably dining at some tendy little hipster newoakland pocket like«MonsterPho» where people don’t know shit about that Phở-life. This is the OG Kevin’s noodle. They have a parking lot so it’s super convenient. Service was fast and accommodating. Not super duper clean but what more can you ask from a place that has been open for so long? Ordered the #1 to share with my mom. Love the broth. Good price for what it’s worth.

I would give 5 stars, but When I checked before I go there today Wednesday Unilocal said its open, actual it closed, my husband so upset. Please update the business hours accordingly.

This location is now temporary close for remodeling. There is a sign on the door. it does not say when they reopen though. I will check other locations!

Service somewhat sucks. They sit you down with other random people so how would they know if you’re ready to order? Sat down for almost 15 min and nobody came by since the people next to us had gotten their food. Broth is okay decent like every other phở place. Now for lunch I would prefer to eat Ramen noodles instead of phở.

I am Officially done with Kevin’s…the service is not too great here we always have to ask for a refill on water… The noodles are okay but it just doesn’t taste new or fresh anymore… I would always buy Thai iced tea with boba but it seems like they just keep raising the price on it… It used to just be $ 3 than $ 3.50 … Recently it was $ 4.10 and today it’s $ 4.36. Almost $ 5 just for a drink that’s just so ridiculous … It probably only cost $ 1 to make … Rip off! Go to Ba Le Sandwich the Thai iced is bigger and not that expensive!

If you’re looking for a cheap and pretty decent Phở place, this is it. It’s not the«cleanest’ place in Oakland but I like it. I think they make the best smoothies if you’re looking for one

This is one of my phở place in Oakland. I don’t care that other review said, I choose this place before many other places. 1. Large dinning area with onsite parking and many street parking as well 2. Good hot broth 3. Reasonable price I also love seeing all different races of people at this place.

This place has great phở! It’s not the cleanest and service is okay, but it’s worth it for the food! Delicious broth and lots of different types of meat in the phở!

WORSTNOODLEHOUSEEVER !!! How long does it take to get some steamed rice to go? As much as I’m in a rush, The employees are just lounging around as I stand there awkwardly for damn near 10 minutes! I finally asked about it and the man comes strolling out of the kitchen with two large boxes that wasn’t even half way filled. And with the little Vietnamese that I do understand, I even got cursed out by him! LOL you guys are amazingly RIDICULOUS!!! Definitely not coming back.

This place is decent. The portions are good-sized and fit for a bear. Broth is beefy. Noodles are the right consistency. It’s great for a no-frills kind of phở place. It feels a little dirty here however, and the floor is a bit sticky and the walls are grungy. Not recommended if you want a more refined kind of phở experience. But if you’re looking for cheap food that hits the spot, I would recommend checking this place out!

It’s cheap, convenient(close to my house) and tasty. I almost struggled to finish my ‘small’ bowl of #8. The noodles were fine but I’m not used to having raw onion in my phở and there weren’t enough greens for me. Customer service was lacking but I’m used to it in typical Asian establishments, lol. My total for 3 bowls of phở + an iced coffee came to $ 26.16. Not too shabby… I’ll be back if I don’t feel like venturing to Chinatown for VH.

Love this place. my choice or choice A1 Vietnamese egg rolls, A2 Fresh Spring Rolls, #17 Phở rare steak and of course Vietnamese Sweetened Iced Coffee. The prices are great and so is the food.

I’m pretty sure everyone born in Oakland has tried Kevin Noodle’s house at least once. My family used to eat there quite often when I was young. Their food did not disappoint and they were always friendly. However through the years as I grew older I realized that the place wasn’t very«clean». Flies everywhere, my sister began to notice smelly odors, and to be honest my friend told me she found a cockroach in her bowl of phở. I mean it didn’t happen to me but ever since she mentioned it I stopped eating here. However all I can remember when I was younger was that this place was good. I guess it’s just all up to you if you would like to give this place a chance, it’s up for you to interpret.

Food is really really good, service is fast. Food is fresh, enjoyed it very much. Every plate we tried was delicous. I can’t tell who works here, I feel bad asking people for stuff. Could use tshirts, aprons, or nametags. The place has plenty of parking, but the inside could use a deep cleaning. There were flies in the dining room, that was disturbing. The food is fantastic. We will be back. Next time we will just order to go.

Service could be slight better. I do not like when the lady repeat my order and I corrected her but she still talking and talking then mis rang my order and don’t apologize about it but give me a smirk look? Good way to lose customers. 2 star for the food.

My coworker recommended this chain of restaurants. It still was not up to par of what I am used to, the phở available in the L.A. area. Too much MSG. Too expensive. Vietnamese coffee $ 3.50 for like a shot.

I have only had a handful of phở places in the east bay but this place is really good! The large bowl is most noticeable for it’s portion. It borderlines phở challenge sizes! I’d recommend it over the smalls because the rest of my party got regular sizes and they barely had any soup and room in their bowl to add toppings and or move around. They ended up requesting extra small bowls of soup.(You can also try asking for a regular portion served in a large bowl; i think they give you the same amount of noodles/meat/toppings but inherently serve more broth).

Super fast and affordable. The broth here is savory and hot, they provided a very fresh and clean selection of veggies to add to the phở as well. I usually add all the veggies that they give because I love rosemary, bean sprouts, fresh jalapenos(the ones here were perfectly crunchy and spicy). I ordered a small tai nan gan sach which is the phở with rare beef, beef flank, tendon, and tripe. The egg rolls here are made with the regular egg wrapper which I dislike, it is not as tasty as the rice roll wrapper. This is a major point of discontent, that I tend to have with the majority of phở restaurants in NorCal, they DONOT use the rice wrapper, but in SoCal many of the viet restaurants do use the rice wrapper which is so much tastier and chewier. They have a huge amount of seating available, so shouldn’t be too hard to get a seat, especially since the food comes out within 5 min. max.
