This place is small but the food is fabulous! I had never had Peruvian cuisine before but the waiter was very patient and answered all of my questions. Since it was my first time I wanted to keep my meal basic and just got fish and vegetables. I was expecting a basic meal. Whatever the sauce was that my meal was in… was soooo good!!! I almost wanted to eat it as a soup. My cousin got the seafood fettuccine. You get to pick the sauce. She got the pink sauce which was an alfredo and tomato sauce combined and WOW. I was expecting it to be an Italian spinoff but it had a completely different taste. I can’t describe it but it was really good as well. This place is definitely worth the trip.

Average food, small portions — high prices, below average service. Ordered mixed ceviche($ 18) octopus, shrimp, calamari and fish. Dish came without octopus, they had to add it after I pointed that it’s missing. Second dish we ordered was completely forgotten. Tried to sell it as «it’s being finished» even though a couple that came in later got the same dish before us. Empty glasses of water never replaced. All and all, I’ll never come here again.

There is no trip to Fort Lauderdale without coming here. The Ceviche Clasico and Tiradito are awesome, also Tamales. The service is very good.

On a recent Monday visit as per their advertising in Hotspots magazine ceviche Monday all day $ 9.95. When we arrived we were handled the regular menu and no sign of the $ 9.95 special. We asked the waiter for the specials on Monday and as his puzzled face went back inside the restaurant to ask the manager. He returns to tell us that the only ceviche on special that the 1st one on the menu nothing else… REALLY!!! Why bother… we left NOTHANKS Was a wasted of my time…

This is without question the best ceviche and Peruvian food in South Florida. The owners and staff are incredibly attentive to detail and the food is just as authentic and tasty. You must come here and try their food if you have not already!

I really don’t see how it’s possible to rate this restaurant less than five stars. The ambience is unique and the food is to die for. I ordered ceviche for an appetizer and the fetuccine alfredo with skirt steak for the main meal and everything was delicious. Instead of bread, they give you seasoned corn kernels which are addicting and awfully tasty. If you are in South Florida, Ceviche by the Sea should be at the top of your priority list!

By far the best octopus I have ever had, the flavor is insane and the texture just right. Also enjoyed their aji Amarillo ceviche, very, very good!

Amazing restaurant. I don’t give much of anything 5 stars since I don’t believe in it but I have been here 4 times and each time had been identically perfect. Perfection is being consistently really good and they accomplish this task so well. The service is top notch, the food is so fresh and the ambiance is perfectly casual but elegant. If you have not visited this restaurant you are missing out. Forget Flip Flops or Shooters which are next door. The food here is amazing!!!

I would describe this restaurant like a higher end Peruvian food. I suggest the Lomo Saltado. Its different then other Peruvian restaurants because they use better meat and use pearl onions, cherry tomatoes. And the Risotto gives it unique twist. Ive had 2 or 3 other things on menu and they were tasty. But this review is for the Lomo Saltado mostly. Also the ceviche Trio is a great first try. But my favorite ceviche is the Roccoto. Medium spice.

This is a great place to taste Peruvian food and enjoy a great ambiance. The sangria is delicious, it has an amazing taste and the waiter explained that they add a Peruvian fruit drink to the traditional sangria recipe. I recommend it. For the appetizer, we had the grilled octopus, which was sooooooo delicious! We had mixed ceviche and traditional ceviche. Both were very tasty. The service was good, even with the restaurant half full on a Thursday night.

I cannot vouch for the authenticity of Peruvian cuisine but«Holy Cow» what we have had during both of our visits to this upscale restaurant has not disappointed. It’s just a shame this restaurant is located over an hour from home. On this visit we started again with a carafe of their delightfully sweet red Sangria($ 24), but it could use a bit more fruit. My wife and I decided to share the Tradicional de Cangrejo(crab) as an appetizer… three individual scoops of cold fluffy potato on a bed of avocado purée and then topped with crab salad. Not my favorite but my wife enjoyed this appetizer. For me the crab salad saved the dish. For entrees, my wife ordered an outstanding ceviche dish — Atun Oriental Y Mango(yellow fin tuna). Tuna was served with diced mango with a touch of chili and blood orange, scallions with wonton crisps. This dish is a must and can be ordered light or medium spicy. My selection for the entrée was the Churrasco a la Huancaina which is a grilled skirt steak(medium rare as I requested) with fettuccini in a huancaina alfredo sauce, asparagus along with aji limo chimichurri(green sauce). This dish should be on the menu in Heaven. I must mention that on our previous visit I had the Pulpo a la Parilla… grilled octopus served with a small grill at tableside to keep the pulpo warm along with warm potatoes and other googies. Also a must. As for dessert, we shared the Quinua crème brulee. Although other reviewers enjoyed this offering, this was not our favorite. Total for the evening was $ 98.00. Can’t wait to return. We loved it.

This place is just awesome. I dont know what the other guys are talking about slow service ot rude waiter? Are you kiddn me? The nicest waiter we ever seen served us. Too slow? Well, its not the place to get in and out, its not a place to just eat and get out. Its a place where you come to have an experience of great dinner out. We were very happy. The food was great too. Prices are OK, not overprices. Parking easy. We will be back. highly recommend this place!

I was craving some great soup and tried the sopa de camorones! It was so yummy, rich, and a little spicy. The service and staff were great and we sat at the bar. The owner approached us and we were talking about different Peruvian cuisine and how they prepare certain foods. They are really genuine people, and the atmosphere was very cozy and romantic. All the prices are reasonable and their wine list has a good mix and unlike some restauraunts they are all fairly priced. Like Whitehaven S. Blanc for 9 glass and 38 for a bottle We had a great time and can’t believe we only just stumbled upon this gem now!

*DONOTMISSTHISGEM!* I’m still scratching my head how this place could possibly have one bad review? My boyfriend and I almost didn’t eat here because of the two bad reviews. So glad we stuck with our gut! First of all, the restaurant has wonderful ambiance, is tastefully decorated and was sparkling clean. Our service was that of a fine dining establishment. And our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. After spending some time in Peru, I love trying Peruvian restaurants in the states. This place is such a treat! Not only do you get traditional Peruvian flavors, but the chefs here have also creatively transformed these flavors into complex concoctions with profound flavor profiles. Your taste buds will literally sing after eating here. We had the Pulpo a la Parrilla, Mango Tuna Ceviche Causa, Spinach/Pear/Bleu Cheese salad, Quinoa Crème Brûlée… And a bottle of the Argentine Torrontes wine. I can’t think of one complaint other than how sad I was that there was only one other table enjoying this wonderful restaurant with us! Go check this place out! Prices are very reasonable and everything is wonderful.

We came to this restaurant after purchasing a groupon. We got there right as it was opening on Sunday. We waited a few minutes by the door for them to open. Once seated, 3 other groups walked through the door. I take this as a good sign because the place was almost filled within an hour of opening. We informed our waiter of the groupon and he was familiar with it and explained how it worked. We got a pitcher of sangria, a soup, and two entrees. The sangria was just ok. I found it to be way too sweet. The soup was awesome. I had the shrimp chowder and it had a ton of shrimp in it, alog with potatoes, corn, and quail eggs. It had a hint of spice to it as well. For my entrée I ordered the crab causa. It came with three small servings. I would have liked a little more. My fiancé got the seafood ceviche trio. He loved it! Each sample was fairly large and had a different flavor. He was impressed with the spicy tuna ceviche and the ceviche with coconut milk. He asked for more corn and they brought out another bowl right away. The servers are all very friendly and attentive. We even saw the chef, who stopped by each table to make sure we were enjoying our dishes. We had a great lunch here and will definitely be coming back.

I just had luch at this restaurant and my experience was not good by any chance. 1) Too pricy for the serving size compared to any other Peruvian restaurant that I have ever been before. 2) The service was terrible and rude. I had a Mix Ceviche, wich honestly it would have been fenomenal if the server would have not forgotten to ask me if I wanted it spicy or not… it was super spicy. The server apparently was way too busy to refill glasses with water. My next order was the Seafood chaufa rice, it was not impressive even though the seafood was really fresh, but stay away from the clams they were over cooked, too chewy. The quantity did not justify the price and it lacked of autentycity.

When it comes to original Peruvian food, u should just let the food speak for itself!!! Sacale la cascara, please, why ruin such good huancaina sauce with skin boiled blue potatoes. I had to worked hard to eat this dish. Tampoco habia Pisco sour. Not coming back for more.
