Ewww. Just plain ewww. When we first walked in, we had the impression the place was going to be pretty nice. The food selection looked fresh, it has a sushi and hibachi bar near by, and all you can eat crab legs for an additional $ 1.99 per person if you ordered the buffet. The buffet itself is $ 9.99 per person. It seemed like a pretty sweet deal… at first glance… and from a distance. Misleading, it was. We both ordered the buffet without hesitation. J and I hadn’t eaten all day, and this was going to be the meal to break our so-called famine. What a bad call on both of our parts. 1. Don’t let the first meal you eat in a day be a half-ass cooked buffet, and secondly, don’t assume so quickly that just because an item looks good, that is a smart idea to put more than one of them on your plate. I beeline straight for the sushi and hibachi per my usual Chinese buffet visit when it’s offered. I got some sushi that looked decent, and tasted decent. Not a complete loss on that accord. One of the sushi rolls I picked out had a kiwi on wrapped around this. I thought this was a neat thing that I’ve never seen before, and of course, I go for the idea of trying it. Fail. Such an epic disappointment. I don’t recommend anyone trying it. The combination that was in it just didn’t go well together. As far as my hibachi visit goes, that was a disaster in itself. They do not have the meats labeled. Everything was set on ice in raw form. Maybe I didn’t look hard enough in the dim light it was sitting in, but I managed to get pork instead of chicken for him to cook. Once he brought it to my table and took a first bite, I knew that was not what I had initially wanted. I don’t eat pork that often. If I have a choice of picking pork or poultry, I usually go for the bird over the pig. Not a fan really except when eating bbq and bacon. After tasting the first item, it didn’t even seem to have any seasoning. It was very bland. Bland pork and noodles? How can something this simple get messed up? I give them the blame for not having signs up signifying what meat each item was. This would have been prevented on my part if they had done their part first. After getting my second hibachi item made, and after attempting to explain to the hibachi chef for 5 minutes on what«marinating» was, it still just didn’t seem to cut the bill. I asked him if he could marinate my chicken in teriyaki sauce because it didn’t seem to have any taste in the pork dish he had prepared. The buffet didn’t offer any sauces either to cook your food in. Typically at other hibachi style buffets, they offer marinates such teriyaki, mongolian, or spicy. Only then, did he understand what I meant. Twice mistaken. The next dish didn’t work for me either. At this point, I’ve given up. I end my meal by over consuming the sushi bar and a couple of items from the buffet and call it a night. I doubt I will return if I have an option. Over priced for a meal that just didn’t seem to share the same quality as it was quantity.
