This place is awesome! The prices are fair, the food is super tasty and the staff is the most helpful and friendly. Had the cheese and bean Papusa, their fried chicken special and a horchata. Everything was so packed with flavor and it was so much food, two of us were full, for only $ 11.50. Will definitely come back!

Cute little family-operated booth in Roux Carre. They have classic papusas, but when I went they had a special«mardi gras» purple(beets), green(kale), and gold(crawfish) setup. All of them were delicious! The horchata was really flavorful as well. My only sorrow was that they were out of maduros plantains. Note to future self: they a special brunch menu that includes baleadas.

The family running this business is made up of genuinely friendly, good, humble people. And they have definitely mastered their native cuisine. We ordered about half of the entire menu because the food is so affordable, and the pupusas, ceviches and salad were all stellar. Not to mention, the horchada is the best I’ve had in New Orleans. This is a great addition to the neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back!
