Yes you may be bothered a little by vagrants but just say no and they will move on. Yes the river is dirty. Yes it can get windy and if it is cold the wind will bite you. Is this a great place to come day or night(until it closes) to relax and watch the river traffic pass by. Yes!

It’s a nice place to walk or run while you’re in NOLA. Travel in groups in the early morning or late in the evening. There are many drunk or allegedly drunk people who come here to sleep it off. On a nice day it’s a great view of the Crescent City bridge.

Sunrise or Sunset. It’s the perfect peaceful romantic walk. I got lucky one sunset and a little fog was rolling in. The vibe, the musicians, the location and view right next to the Mississippi River is perfect. Wished my lover was with me

It was nice. Make sure to come closer to the evening though. If you come during the day, you will more than likely see some of the«not so well to do» sunbathing on the steps. Ha. At night it is a completely different experience. Make sure there are no clouds.

Nice view of the dirty brown looking Mississippi River and the nice scenery that is French Quarter New Orleans. Place where joggers jog and tourist are all about the pictures

Carousing the French Quarter as beautiful and exciting as it is can get hectic. The moonwalk is a nice get away from the bustling main strip for a front seat view of the Mississipi. Runners, locals, pet owners and now you can sneak away from the action of the ‘big easy’. Lined with scattered benches and statues along a 2 mile strip, grab your self some a Po-Boy or some of the infamous Café Du Monde and Bignets for a mini getaway or pic nic on the Moon Walk. . You can still enjoy the music radiating from the quarter while watching barges of ship goods sail along the Missipi and various entertainers and muscians ready to share New Orleans Aka NOLA’s charm.
