Was okay. I ate the Crawfish étouffée. Was expecting spicy but wasn’t. I was disappointed. I tried the gator sausage. It was good. For people from Hawaii, tasted like Portuguese Sausage. The service was excellent. Wish I could give them more stars but had to add hot sauce and tobasco sauce to the crawfish étouffée for spice and flavor.

Yeah I was OK with it. Good fried stuff and decent beer selection. Server was attentive.

Came here for our third dinner in New Orleans. We had a groupon as well. Place is very cute; on the water and would be great in the summer. Waitress was very nice. He ordered the bourbon tea which she recommended. First drink wasn’t very strong but after he mentioned that to her she brought the second one much stronger. We both ordered the gumbo. It was good but not as good as other places we visited(Oceana) on our stay. We also had the firecracker shrimp. The portion was very large and shrimp were fresh but they tasted like sweet and sour shrimp from a Chinese restaurant. Boyfriend ordered the Taste of New Orleans. He doesn’t recommend it because all items come with rice. This caused him to enter a food coma and bother me while I enjoyed my food. I ordered the shrimp and crab combo. There was so much food I didn’t even get a chance to touch the potatoes and sausage. It was so good! Live music was good. Would definitely recommend it especially if the groupon deal is still available.

The food was very good, waitress was amazing as well HOWEVER– DON’T try to use a Groupon coupon for payment — blows management’s mind.

Food and waitress were amazing. However, manager would not allow us to use a gift certificate. And was NOTHAPPY with us using a Groupon. Said we were trying to get out of paying. No matter how good the shrimp taco was, we won’t be back.

My son took myself, his sister and his four children to this place for my 55th birthday. We had to Groupons shared plates the the bill was $ 162.00. The worst seafood I ever had. The lobster was overcooked, the fried seafood was greasy and tasted old and refried. I wanted to be a tourist in my city and I chose horribly.

Best food I had in New Orleans! Came for lunch and had gumbo which was good. I had the mahi mahi sandwich and my friend had coconut shrimp plate and both were amazing. Service was amazing as well. For dessert we shared bread pudding which was good but I can make it better myself

What more can you ask for? This place sits right on the Mississippi River and provides beautiful ambience. And every time I have been here, they have had live music! So far I have tried the fish tacos, which are absolutely delectable, the crawfish étouffée which is the second best I’ve ever had, and their wedge salad. The only reason I didn’t hand out a Five-er is that the service can be a little lax, but we’re in the Big Easy, I hope you’re not on a tight schedule anyway!

Not great, not the worst. We ordered the calamari and alligator to start. The calamari was supposed to be served with banana peppers which it wasn’t. It came with a mustard-like sauce and no lemon wedges. The gator sausage was extremely salty. For entrees, we had fish tacos, fish and grits and coconut shrimp. The 3 fish tacos were large but needed seasoning. The grits were delicious and the fried fish was good. The sauce on the fish and grits was tangy and did not compliment the dish so my friend ate the grits and fish that weren’t smothered with the weird tasting sauce. The coconut shrimp were far too sweet and the dipping sauce was a sweet, thick syrup that had an unidentifiable fruity flavor. The French fries were hot and crisp.

This is the second restaurant I’ve been to during my stay in New Otleans. From the outside it looks inviting and exciting. We checked out the menu online before we came so we were looking forward to trying some New Orleans cuisine. Our server, Lehrun, was average. At first he was very rude and rushed us through our order.(I don’t know if it’s rude or just the demeanor of the folk here), but throughout the course of the meal he changed his tune and was a bit more polite. This could also be because I mentioned to the manager how rude I thought the staff was. My sister accidentally knocked over her drink and an angry busboy came over to clean it up. We apologized to him for the inconvenience and he ignored us and continued on his way scoffing. The funny part is he hadn’t even soaked up half of the alcohol. That is when I approached the manager and volunteered to clean up the spill myself since it was such a problem. The manager, Angel, was very kind and assured me she would take care of it which she did. When the entrees were dropped off to the table we asked for some extra side plates for sharing. We waited a few minutes and I guess Lehron forgot. He was chatting with coworkers and using the pos system. I flagged down the manager and she brought some plates over. At this time, she asked if we were alright. Now, I wonder if she would have done a table visit had I not flagged her down. I guess I will never know. The food was mediocre. We had gator bites, red beans & rice, raw oysters and some other mixed platters(catfish, fried oysters, coconut shrimp &hushpuppies). All in all it was just decent. I had better food on bourbon street the previous night. The gator bites were 70% gator and 30% pork(eh not too tasty). Long story short, I would Not recommend coming here. Service is just barely acceptable, like not bad enough to complain but not worthy enough for the 20% gratuity that is automatically included in the check. It’s funny… when gratuity is automatic, servers do not work as hard because they feel their money is guaranteed. This was evident today. I am a server/bartender in Boston and I pride myself on the amazing service I give to every guest because I am a representation of myself and the company I work for. I wish all servers had the passion I have. Anyway… Dine at your own risk!

Dirty oysters, expensive bloody Mary’s and slightly rude waitresses. I am a huge fan of raw oysters and understand there’s a certain amount of grit that comes with it, but there didn’t seem to be any effort whatsoever to clean off the shells. I also got the bacon bloody which was good but certainly not worth fifteen bucks. The waitress was pushy, impatient and had an abrasive personality. However, the restaurant is in a great location and the live music was great. So, maybe order something other than raw oysters and a bloody mary and just enjoy the environment.

This restaurant has a neighborhood feel to it. It’s very much casual/take it as you see it. The food is somewhat pricey as compared to the others, but the drinks are cheap and potent. It’s located not too far from the riverside. Be careful getting here as you do have to cross the streetcar & railroad tracks which do not have a bar or any notification besides their horn that a train or trolley is approaching. Food was just ok. The gumbo was decent & the fried shrimp was more salty & had an odd aftertaste than anything else. As unremarkable as I found the food, it was filling. The voodoo juice was worth the $ 12 and the customer service was great. If in the area again, I doubt that I’d visit again. However, it’s not bad enough that I’d discourage you from coming.

Not that great or maybe we just had a bad waiter. She kept forgetting about us and we sat outside for a while to get the basics like water and napkins. The scenery of the river was great the live band was also great. Wasn’t my favorite place but I will give it a second chance once I go back to New Orleans again.

This place was just horrible… I wish that I never stepped into this place. We went with a party of 16 around 9pm. Instead of waiting to seat us together they seat us at three different tables with two waitress. First of all our gumbo came out cold not only once but twice! When we asked for the Manger she came over picked up the gumbo and asked if wanted to heat up again. I guess she thought that 3 is a charm! We said NO! NEVER did she apologize nor offer to make the poor service better. We then got our check and we were charged a 20% tip charge when we did not even sit together. I was so upset so I just paid the bill and left. I will ever return to this place when I New Orleans. There were other issues that happened but I don’t want to even give this place any more of my energy or time! HORRIBLE!!!

I went here for a networking event and the atmosphere is pretty cool being right on the water and looking at Algiers from across the way. The staff was personable and quick. I had the crab cakes which were well spiced and moist and the jambalya which was also great. Another person at my table had the pasta dish which she said she enjoyed as well. I am always happy when food cooked for a large amount of people comes out great since that so often isn’t the case. That being said, this is an obvious tourist trap. Which is necessary because it allows tourist to spend money in the city without clogging up the places I like to frequent. I can see how for a visitor on foot, this would be a convenient place to get some good, reliable, almost authentic food without having to worry about«how dangerous is this area», «will i be harassed». However, it really isn’t local friendly being in an area of town where it is either impossible or expensive to park.

Definitely have to thank Groupon for allowing me to try a place like this for half off. This place has a huge variety of Southern local dishes and they were all pretty good. Oh and if you are hesitant as to why they have so little reviews, check them out on trip advisor where they have over 1000. Bayou Catfish– Real good, comes with an order of cajun fries and hush puppies. My girlfriend enjoyed the puppies a lot and I thought the catfish was really good. Thin pieces, but I hope thats because these are fresh, and not farm raised. Props to them for using the real stuff. Crawfish étouffée– Never had it in my life and so I cannot compare this to anything, but if you are a virgin to creole food, then you may like it because I sure did. Alligator bites– Very tasty and delicious with the creole mustard. The place overall is average for a New Orleans eatery, but they do have some pricey items such as lobster and seafood. If you can stay away from that, you can stretch your dollar. Tip: Park at hilton– they validate.

Ok so I’m totallllly kicking myself for missing out on this Groupon, but since my friend purchased on; I was still able to get more food for the price of less. Anywho… this place has really great boiled seafood. Season just right & portion size appropriate as well; it was my first time here, but it definitely won’t be my last. Outdoor seating, a live band a view of the river… I mean add some rays of sunshine & a Saints game & we’ve just gotten a little taste of heaven. We ordered steamed snow crab legs & gulf shrimp, with all the fixings of course(potatoes, corn & smoked sausage); 2 adult beverages(Bourbon Street Tea & The Lobster Smash). Let me say, I went here for seafood, not food-food. So in that that was the case, I wasn’t disappointed. I was actually quite pleased with the boiled seafood, the corn & pototaoes, ehhhhh but as I stated, I came, saw & conquered the SEAFOOD. The drinks were decent & I was able to catch a buzz, that could’ve been because I had nothing else on my stomach, but whatever the case, I was buzzing; so many times you go to restaurants & you don’t catch that buzz on the 1st drink, ehhhhhh but anyway. I plan to return, unfortunately without a Groupon, that made our final price all the more appealing; but returning nonetheless is the plan.
