I was surprised to have found items that I liked. Sales were decent. With those markdowns, I guess you could see big business savings. I really liked the unique purses and glasses. I didn’t get a chance to lurk the dresses but I will. I really need to brace myself for that Nordstrom Rack coming this Fall to Riverwalk.

Good selection of designer duds at great prices. I always head here within a few hours of landing in New Orleans. I always find something and the staff is always friendly, i.e. no nasty attitude when you try on a bunch and come out with one item :-P

Decent selection for men(old and young(er). If you’re the Gap, Express type of shopper then this place is not for you. If you like cashmere, Bruno Magli shoes then this is the place for you. Discounts are pretty good. They offer a 20% discount for one item but cannot be combined with already discounted items. This is the place for designer polo shirts, sweaters, jeans, and shoes. The women selection seems okay but having been through the racks a few times and not leaving with anything for the wife speaks volumes.

From the perspective of a guy, this store has little selection– if you do find something you like– they probably don’t have your size in the item. Replenishment is slow. Also, the majority of the selection they do have is geared toward the older male client-who wants to be trendy. Males below 45 have the ability to shop too. Also there are other brands besides j. Lindbergh, psycho bunny, and converse for sportswear within the Neiman Marcus library of brands. Furthermore, the mall is attached to a cruise port, how many people getting on or off of a cruise ship need a two or three piece suit that will need to be altered, with no tailor on site(that I could find). With every visit I make, living across the street makes that a fairly frequent thing being the closest mall, the men’s selection seems to shrink. The main reason for this review, was during my last visit to the store, while trying to locate sunglasses that might work on a mans face, I was pushed aside by a sales woman. At no point did she say pardon me, excuse me, would you mind if… etc. This is an outlet, snobbery at a real Neiman’s may be acceptable but here at a miniature outlet not expectable. Heads up #nmlc studio, men have money to spend too, generally we don’t need help, and we know what we want before we enter the store. Pushing us aside like annoying child is demeaning and poor business. My mother taught me manners. Where are yours #nmlc. Sad to say, I will be shopping online, seems easier and less disappointing.

The newly-revamped Riverwalk has this as their anchor store. It’s a small anchor, but definitely packs a punch when you yearn for bridge and high(ish)-end clothing but not the purse strings to match. There’s tons of designer options, and reasonably priced hostess gifts. Below is my highly-biased take: Pros: Big selection of sunglasses, purses Helpful staff Easy layout Easy access from Poydras — great for Hilton Riverside/Lowes/W/Harrahs guests Cons: No plus-sizes offered No ladies shoes larger than 10 No narrow/wide widths in shoes Smaller than expected store
