Subway

Worst service ever! And that’s saying something since the bar is set pretty low for Subway anyway, but this is some next level shit. Watched them bully this poor customer into basically giving him the exact opposite of what he requested because, and I quote «we don’t have time to do that». Want it toasted, forget it-​too busy. Want to order more then 3 sandwiches, nope, don’t think so. Just refusing to do the most basic things because what are you gonna do… leave? They don’t give a crap! Really, the person to feel sorry for is the franchise owner because they have no idea how much money they could be making is their staff just gave a damn.

HORRIBLE service. Called to place an order for pick up and was told that they were too busy to accept orders. Would not recommend this to any consumer in the New Orleans area. Drive outside of the city to get serviced as representative of New Orleans.

Hard not to give Subway at least the 3-​star average, but what really lowers this location is the service.
I’ve already been here twice in the past two days and ordered the «double chicken chopped salad». I had to ask the employee to chop it when she tried to ring me up and it looked like asking her to chop a «chopped salad» was not in her job description (I was very respectful and the only customer in there, by the way). I chalked it up to a bad day.
Today I order the same thing and as she closed the lid on the salad she said that I could shake the salad up on my own to mix it, but would only chop the tomatoes. Getting the hint I didn’t even bother to ask her to chop it this time. Don’t want the «special dressing» on it, if you know what I mean. Oh yeah, and they’re quite lean on the veges.
Not sure if it’s just this employee or their general dissatisfaction with management, but they either need better training or remove the «chopped» in front of the salads on the menu if their staff doesn’t want to do their job.

The food was fine. It’s hard to mess up a veggies on wheat. Unless you’re out of wheat. Which they were.
Worse, the group of employees seemed so depressed to be there, they might rather be dead.
Sad.

It’s Subway! It’s clean and the food is fresh and it costs about half of what you’d pay at the convention centers resturants, less crowded, more relaxed and it is therefore awesome if you are at the convention center and want a bite.

Out of bread, out of veggies, what do you have?
To top it off after paying I was informed that if you want to drink something with your meal you have to pay for it. All I wanted was a cup of water.
And oh… Out of bottled water too. Even if I did want to pay extra for it.

I’ve only been here twice so far. Both days the service was quick (pre-​lunch hour). Other than that, it’s your standard Subway. Food quality was good. I’ve had many chicken teryaki sandwiches and the one here is just like all the other subways.
