I almost don’t want to give this place away… so shhhh. This is old school po-boys and plates, the way they’re meant to be… Shrimp special on Friday, of course.

This is the way New Orleans Po-Boy shops used to be — how they were when I was growing up. No frills surroundings — it started as a corner grocery store that made po-boys — now they are just making po-boys pretty much. Good bread, stuffed — but not too much, perfect met to bread ratio. A lot of bang for your buck — which is what po-boys were meant be. Classic po-boys & excellent daily specials(& a lot of it) for cheap. The small size is usually enough for most eaters — even men. You can tell a place is good when there is a long line of hard-working types lined up by noon. Cash only!

Well I will admit I have only been here twice. The reason I came here was because one of my friends told me it was good. I used to live right around the corner from this place at the crappy studio arms apartments. I went in to order my food. The reception I got was less than welcoming. Needless to say I still placed my order. I noticed that most of their customers are regulars. I guess if you are not part of there clique they don’t want to know you. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. I will definitely admit that the breakfast was pretty good. These people know their stuff when it comes to sandwiches. This place is a typical neighborhood sandwich shop. In short great place to grab a sandwich but lousy customer service.
