Bought a waterpipe and it broke after one use (not my fault– faulty/​cheaply made) and they were such jerks about it. Sold me a crappy piece. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED. Most of its stuff is over priced and not the best brands. Will never be returning.

In exploring near my new neighborhood Uptown I had the pleasure of visiting this shop. It is so different and has so many odd things that it is worth a visit even if you are not a smoker. And if you are they are the place to go for your smoking needs. One thing that is difficult to find is Butane Gas for those fancy dancy lighters that are used to get a cigar on fire. This place has a variety of them at different price levels.
The ambiance of the store is wonderful. The products are varied and interesting. But above all of that is the old fashioned customer service you receive by the staff. Another reason to visit the Oak St. area for what makes New Orleans New Orleans.

I love the Ra Shop as an addition to Oak. They have tons if cool little Knick knacks, water pipes, papers, cigarettes, clothing and cool stuff for decorating your man caves and doom rooms (i.e. Black lights, posters).
The usually have a ton of cute hippie chic sun dresses, which is really why I really frequent this store. But, I have looked at some of their other, um, products, and they have a wide selection and all seem competitively priced. They also have this fantasic at least as tall as me (and I’m kinda tall) hooka in the window. The sales people are cool, they will get whatever you need and are friendly about it.
They also supports the WWOZ livewire every afternoon which gets a few cool points in my book. No one under 18 allowed.
