Great ice cream consistency. The rockiest road was AMAZING and the girl behind the counter was very sweet.

Seriously people, you’ve got to go! I’ve now been five or six times since they opened. The flavors rotate frequently and are really outstanding — creamy, intense, delicious. The chocolate is a standout — super dark and with an incredible texture. Recently I had their mandarin olive oil, which was subtle and amazing, and their bourbon which was like taking a shot of it in ice cream form. The toasted coconut popsicle is out of this world creamy and rich and coconut-y. Support this local business! :-)

The last time I went to this ice cream place I was extremely disappointed in the lack of flavors and the small portion sizes. However, they must have come under new management in the last two years, as I really enjoyed my last visit! When we walked in the workers gave us two LARGE samples each of café au lait and a peach cream flavor. They were both great, and on top of them we ordered a cookies and cream and a dark chocolate. The dark chocolate was especially amazing, and tasted like a rich frozen pudding. We didn’t even finish the large portions. Love the changes, Kream! We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped by after work to bring home a midnight treat. 4 ice cream flavors so I felt kind of limited. I got the rocky road: side toy appreciate the massive amount of almonds and marshmallows but the chocolate was a bit over powering. Since it could just be my preference to steer away from dark, i am giving them 4 stars because the place was clean and the employee was very kind. I would like to see each flavor with a description(if I had known rocky road was with dark chocolate, I would’ve avoided it).

Yummy! And non-traditional flavors, which is always fun. Good service too & was open when I wanted it. Great spot to beat the Southern heat.

Ok, so I had to try out Kream since I live only 4 blocks away. So I took a little afternoon stroll on Sunday to check it out. When you walk in, the place is pretty bare, only a few high stools. But that’s ok, I planned on taking my treat back home anyway. I was greeted by a very friendly, yet shy, girl behind the counter. I asked her what all they had, and she proceeded to explain the different flavors of ice cream(4) and popsicles(4), which have the bare minimum ingredients and are made fresh weekly. I decided on a scoop of bananas ‘fester’ and ‘rockiest’ road, Kream’s take on bananas foster and rocky road(DUH!). Well, I paid $ 6ish dollars for my 2 scoops, which were smaller than 1 Creole Creamery scoop, so… bad start.(Sidenote: Of course they’re gonna get compared to Creole Creamery; it’s inevitable. Those are big shoes to fill, but I think having a creamery type place like this on Oak Street is a good thing.) Despite the small scoops, the flavors were fantastic! There was plenty of chunks of banana and nuts and marshmallow in the respective scoops. And the ice cream itself was creamy and rich as good be, just the way I like it. So I’m torn. The employee was friendly and her service was great. The flavors were great. But it wasn’t cheap and you don’t get a whole lot. Hopefully they become a little more generous as business(hopefully for them) picks up, and they start to carry more flavors(they also had PB&J, but were out of salted caramel).
