Stopped here for a break from walking New Orleans. I had a skinny latte and the King Cake and my friend had a coffee and a blueberry muffin. Best muffin she has had in a long time, moist and not overly sweet, in fact perfect as was her coffee and this lady is very fussy when it comes to her coffee. My skinny latte was fine and the King Cake was delicious. Staff were friendly, patient and helpful

I like Starbucks. When I travel, only Starbucks. BUT in NOLA where I live, PJs is far better. My wife and I love PJs.

It’s a typical commercial coffee shop but with a colorful vibe; rustic cement floors, dark brown and red furniture, pastel yellow walls, bold and colorful menu, etc. I’m currently having a dark roast which is probably a French roast by the taste of it. I’m currently listening to oldies on the intercom which is great!

Had an iced coffee with soy milk. Deliberately chose this local joint over the Starbucks on the next block. They seem to really tout their iced coffee but I didn’t think it was particularly special. Not terrible but not spectacular either.

PJ’s tastes better than SB every day! I like my one cup of coffee in the morning so I came here several mornings in a row for a very nice coffee or iced coffee. The spinach croissant was just okay– way more cheese or white sauce in it than necessary. I was expecting a spanakopita type thing but it wasn’t. Anyway, solid for coffees.

Popped into Pj’s while waiting for a table at another breakfast spot. Ordered a crossaint & fresh squeezed lemonade, although the coffee smelled heavenly. Both were great and reasonable priced. Only thing they should add is a smiling worker. He seemed a little annoyed when I requested to have my crossaint warmed up

Bought the King Cake at PJ’s at the airport in NO — and it was huge … delicious … sugar, carbs, cheese … what’s not to like. I would go a little less heavy on the icing/frosting … sweet on top of sweet …(not that I had difficulty finishing the entire thing) …

I was looking for the«other» coffee shop, after stumbling through their app a man on the street offered help. He stated the other coffee shops were all around this one little Shop, Pj’s Coffee. I decided to take the man’s suggestion and I am glad I did. Nice quiet clean, and located in the French Quarter in NO, LA! Service was great, the coffee was fabulous. I will only get my coffee at Pj’s when I stay in the area now. Keep up the good coffee! Cheers.

A tour guide suggested PJs coffee over Starbucks. As a loyal(very) Starbucks fan, I was skeptical. There are PJs shops all around New Orleans. The menu items are similar to Starbucks — they have coffee, espresso and espresso drinks, tea and various pastries. Given this is a New Orleans place, they also serve King Cake. The coffee is locally roasted and was fresh when we got there. I would say the taste is a little milder than Starbucks — less rich. My preference is for the bitterness and rich taste so as a matter of preference, I was not as taken by PJs as some others could be. The service was okay, not great. I have to say I prefer Starbucks — but again, that may simply be a preference. Given the number of good reviews, if you like a milder coffee than the typical Starbucks blends, this may be a good option for you.

The coffee is gross and tastes like it’s been sitting there for awhile

Don’t waste your time or money. I’ve had better gas station coffee. And the«barista» needs a lesson in cleanliness and customer service. This may be «local» but feels like a corporate chain that has lost its sense of the customer and serving quality coffee. I gave it one star because Unilocal requires at least one. This place deserves zero.

I am pretty particular about my iced coffee, and make my own at home with beans from Hawaii/SF, so I was skeptical about finding good coffee while on vacation in New Orleans. PJ’s iced coffee was exactly what I was looking for(I think they brew it similar to how I do at home), and hit the spot 3 mornings in a row. I would recommend it, and I like that they have WiFi but personnel may not be the most friendly sometimes. I would still come back if in the area, and am thinking about buying beans from them online once finished with my current stock.

Very good iced coffee with a robust flavor. The staff was tired but busy so I’ll give them that :) Wifi was solid and the atmosphere was relaxed although the location I was at adjoins a louder bustling café related to the neighboring hotel. It’s always nice to have local alternatives to mega chains and this one does it right. They sell house blends and shirts too if you’re into that sort of thing.

I stopped here this morning because I had bypassed my beloved SB and didn’t want to double back. Today I learned that I’m an SB brat. The girl at the counter was less than friendly and impatient. She had asked to take my order and I explained that it was my first time in so I wanted to take a second to review the menu. She simply walked away from the counter to do something else. When she returned, she seemed annoyed that I had questions. I decided on the ham and cheese croissant and a iced soy latte. I asked what were the flavors for the lattes since they aren’t spelled out on the menu. I decided on hazel nut(flavored syrup). I didn’t know/expect my sandwich would be given to me cold and I’d have to warm it in the microwave myself. My latte came sans hazel nut flavor, unsweetened and I’m not entirely sure that it was made with soy milk. I only heard her tell the guy to make a latte, nothing about the details. Anyway, my receipt says that I paid $ 9.60 for a spinach and feta croissant and a small iced latte with soy milk. I didn’t really like either item. This was a total waste of my time and money. #SBbrat

Not comparable to famous chains… Friendly lady behind the counter BUT the espresso was bland and boring and the baked good tasted like it had come from a cellophane wrapper at the corner mart.

Legitimate alternative to the big national chains. And I’d always rather spend money in a non-multibillion dollar corporation, just on principle. So yeah… check it out. It’s comparable to the famous places.

Closest coffee shop by the hotel, not the best coffee but decent. The place itself is small but decorated pretty cute. I didn’t love my iced coffee so I don’t recommend that. They had a few pastries that looked relatively good though, I didn’t get one though.

Came here for a coffee fix because the starbucks line was extremely long. Where the coffee here did its job, it wasn’t anywhere near as good as starbucks. By the way Starbucks isn’t that good so that will tell you the quality of PJ’s. Their frozen drinks are already spinning and sitting in the auto-blender machine thing. Not good. They add chocolate or mocha syrup in the cup to make their drinks. Pretty unsatisfying. But it did its job.

Thank god I was dying for caffeine in the form of an iced mocha, because if I wasn’t I would have never put up with the ridiculously slow service I experienced here. I should have given up when I saw the line snaking like an «S» through an already cramped little store. But I needed my fix. And I was also of the belief that PJ’s is a local Louisiana outfit, and I generally like supporting that kind of thing. That said, it pretty much felt like a Starbucks called PJs. Luckily my iced mocha was delicious, so you’re safe from any further scourge from me. This time.
