I loved Pizzicare, their Lasagna pizza was brilliant! Loved. Was. Stopped by 8−11−14 and its closed. Paper over the windows and door, with a sign saying another pizza place is ‘coming soon.’ Maybe if I ate there more often, they would still be open. But, blaming myself won’t help… or get me any more Lasagna Pizza.

Very disappointing. Placed an order online on Saturday night and was excited for the pizza to come. I’d heard good things. An hour later it hadn’t come. When I tried to call, no one picked up. I eventually drive to the place to see what was going on and they were closed. The website clearly said they were open until 9 on Saturdays. The website allowed me to place an order and said«see you soon.» Yet apparently they are«closed for summer» on Saturdays, according to a tiny sign on their door. Not sure I’ll go back after wasting a night waiting for their pizza that never came. Ended up ordering from another delivery place in the neighborhood that was very good(and open).

I love Pizzicare. Got it delivered and it was quick and great. Made my own 4 toping pizza. Could have used more mushrooms but it was overall awesome. I am a huge fan of this place. (We had a pizza competition about a year ago and had 9 pizzas in the city represented. Pizzicare finished in the top 5 easily). Not thin crust, not thick crust. Just good dang pizza.

Here’s why I love Pizza Care. I called in a delivery order. Which they took. With my address. When I called back one hour later, they were like, «we tried to call you back, but you didn’t answer. We don’t deliver that far.» Great.

This pizza was not good. Not much flavor, soggy crust, just really bland. We ordered delivery and it was delivered in a timely manner, however the pizza was nothing special.

This place actually delivers to my work so that’s a plus. And the pizza has a decent crust and the toppings were generous. Since they sell by the slice, it’s nice that the slices are huge. Now for the meh. The margeurita pizza had no basil on it and the cheese was definitely not a high quality. When a pizza only has sauce, tomatoes, basil and cheese, missing one is kind of a big deal. The delivery person arrived on time and while one of our salads was missing; the location corrected that and delivered it within 15 minutes.

Pizzicare, I’m so sad right now. I used to have a weekly pizzicare pizza night. I looked forward to it. But recently the prices on a pizza have skyrocketed. A large one-topping pizza went from about $ 12 to $ 20+ now. I can’t afford that Pizzicare people. I also am not a fan of my other neighborhood options, so I haven’t had a pizza in several weeks. I’m going through pizza withdrawls. Pizzicare, please run a special so I can afford a delicious pie again.

Easily one of the better pizza places in town. Actually one of the only places down here to get that«melt in your mouth» consistency to the crust that you find in all the famous New York pizzerias. What didn’t work for me was the name and the sterile environment, which when put together seems like a place you would buy a prosthetic limb or a mobility scooter. Suggestion: throw some sawdust on the floor, shoot out the lights and wipe some boogers on the wall, then rename the jernt«famous original dragon tamer ray’s»

Even with all the great pizza places in Mid-City, Pizzicare stands out. Its not the wonderfully thin crust, or the eclectic array of toppings. No, its the commitment of the staff to get to know all the customers and the willingness to go above and beyond to make sure each customer has the best experience possible. All this being said, there is a reason that I’m only giving 3 stars. The younger girl who works the register seems to have a bad attitude, and her replacement hasn’t impressed me either. They both have burned my pizza o n a few different occasions. The other problem is that I’ve often found the seating area to be gross and unclean. This is compleatly unacceptAble of a restaurant in my opinion.

{For delivery or take-out — this pizza joint offers fresh & unique ingredients!!} We celebrate Pizza Monday at our house and this week I was excited to make my way over to Pizzicare. It is a bit off of the beaten path but well worth it friends. We ordered a pizza to-go from the counter and waited only 15 minutes or so. The Supreme was delicious! Most notably, these pizza artists care about fresh and unique ingredients — incorporating poblano peppers and brussel sprouts as topping options. The crust is thin and they cut the pie in big nyc style slices. I will be going back to try the white pizza and am counting down the hours to eating my pizza again for lunch!

I’ve been eating my way through the menu since they’ve opened, and I can confidently say that I’ve finally sampled everything that they have to offer and that I’m ready to share my thoughts. Let’s start with what Pizzicare does well: — The staff are super friendly. They’re conversational, kind, and generally a fun group of people. — They use fresh, quality ingredients. — Their crust is awesome! Crisp, with the right bit of chew. — The pepper pie is hit or miss. The seem to run out of some peppers fairly often and you might just end up with slices of jalapeño. But when it’s a hit — it’s out of this world GOOD. The synthesis of the peppers and the sausage is incredible. It’s my favorite slice of pie in the world when it’s done right. Here’s what they’re still working on: — Consistency. Sometimes my pizza has been a little too doughy, and they’ve been out of ingredients on several occasions. — The online ordering system. Don’t bother. It’s incredibly broken. Just call them or drop by. — The salads are pretty weak. They either need to be improved or just dropped from the menu entirely. The sandwiches, strombolis, and calzones are meh at best. Stick with the pizza! Reccomendations: The Pepper PIzza(zomg good) Chicken and Broccoli Rabe Pizza Pancetta and Brussel Sprouts Pizza

After months of Pizzicare flyers left on my Broadmoor doorstep, finally decided to order delivery. Ordered the NOLA roots pizza and an arugula salad, and it was dropped off at my house thirty minutes later… and it was awesome! I’m usually a fan of crispier dough and little bit more toppings, but everything was really fresh and delicious. The vegetables looked like vegetables, if you know what I mean. As for the salad, they were out of arugula but called to ask if it was ok to sub spinach, which was fine by me. Salad was mostly spinach, but what can you do. We got faster delivery than we get from any uptown pizza place, and the food is locally sourced. Win, win.

Ok so I’m going to have to say that honestly after trying pizzicare again that they are just wonderful. All the pizza is amazing when fresh and just as great when reheated correctly. The dough is made in house and all the veggies are local. The meat is high quality and all the sausages are made locally at crescent pie and sausage, which is owned by the same people. But quite possibly the best thing about pizzicare is Andy’s meatballs. I’m telling you. Just put it this way, when a guy from Jersey who’s been in the pizza business for 21+ years makes meatballs, you eat them. Simple as that. Don’t miss out on this lil gem.

So glad I didn’t pay much attention to the reviews here & ordered anyway. It was delicious! The crust was my favorite part, it’s that thin, chewy, fresh, crusty and slightly sweet crust that is hard to come by. I love that they carry garlic knots as well, although they were more parmesan-y than garlicky. The topping on the pizza were very plentiful & fresh as well. I did take most of the reviewers advice & called them instead of ordering online. It got to our house in less than 30 minutes and it was hot. I LOVED the Margeurite pizza. Warning: It does not say that it comes with a white sauce(instead of red) on the menu online. Luckily I asked for a side of extra red sauce & the guy who took my order asked if I wanted to sub the red for the white. It was an extremely good choice, and he agreed(which is weird, you’d think they’d switch it if it was better that way?). The cheese to sauce ratio was perfect and the basil wasn’t all brown and crispy like it has a tendency to do when cooked as a topping. The fresh tomatoes on top were Roma and sliced thin without all the sloppy, wet pulpy insides. Not to mention, the pizza we got was massive for only 16 bucks, which to me is a great deal. Leftovers for at least 2 days afterwards! I am so relieved that there’s a decent restaurant in mid-city that delivers. A lot of restaurants in this area say they deliver online but when you call, they inform you that they really don’t. This is now my go-to pizza delivery place from here on out. If they got some bad reviews before, either they’ve improved tremendously or some people’s standards are just impossible. Try it for yourself. I’m really glad I did. YUM.

Great delivery pizza in Mid-city. Helped some friends move and they provided the booze and had pizza delivered. I had never heard of this place, but I was very impressed with the pizza. My host didn’t have a menu so when she called she simply requested three different types of vegetarian pizzas. The phone service was great and their selection was quite tasty. Delivery was prompt. I’d definitely order from this place again.

After an unsuccessful first experience with this pizza place, the owner contacted me and generously offered to deliver another pizza in the future, free of charge. Tonight, I took him up on his kind offer. We ordered the Pepper pie, which included Peppadews, Jalepenos, Poblano Peppers, Crumbled Hot Sausage, Mozzarella & Red Sauce. We were not disappointed! Not only was our order delivered in a very timely manner, but the pizza was fresh, hot, and smelled wonderful! The pizza was full of flavor, with equal parts sweetness and spiciness. The crust was also very tasty. I can definitely say the ingredients were top-notch, as well. I plan on being a Pizzicare customer in the future, as the business shows excellent customer service and takes pride in their product. I highly recommend it!

By the slice is nice, but I’m not to impressed with this place. It’s okay, I guess, if you need a quick pizza fix, but there are better pizzas to be had. I do love the fact that it’s on Tulane Ave. between Broad and Jeff Davis in a pedestrian friendly commercial strip with parking in the rear. It’s an area of Mid-City that’s in need of some revitalization and it’s finally starting to take shape. The people in there are real friendly and you get your slice pretty quick. Its a huge floppy slice with a decent crust and cheese. I ordered the NOLA roots and the spinach artichoke. The NOLA roots is topped with a selection of fresh, locally grown veggies. It had arugula, squash and pesto along with a few other veggies. It was a great idea, but it didn’t really come together well. There was just way too many things going on there. My other slice was a spinach artichoke with whole spinach leaves huge chunks of artichokes and whole garlic cloves. I hate when pizza places get lazy with the toppings and just throw them on in big chunks(especially whole cloves of garlic). You know when you try to take a bite of a pizza slice and the top of it just wont let go and you end up pulling the whole of it off in one bite? Yeah, it was that kind of slice. If I go back, I’ll have to keep it simple and maybe try a stromboli or a plain cheese slice.

Ordered delivery after hearing a good review from a friend about the slices. The pizza was great — «floppy» as someone else described — the cheese is nice and gooey but is the type that gets extremely stiff the moment it gets the slightest bit cold. I agree with the OP who said Pizza Delicious is still the only game in town as far as awesome pizza goes, but I would order this again. Just a warning — the website says you get $ 2.00 off your order if you order online. Well, I ordered online and didn’t see a discount reflected anywhere. I thought maybe when the delivery guy came to collect, it would be $ 2.00 off. Nope. I didn’t say anything because I was outside the delivery area and they delivered it to me because they were slow enough(Wednesday night) to do it. So I’m not sure how the $ 2.00 discount works but it didn’t work for me.

I think it’s a good place to go if you want big, floppy, yummy pizza. I tried the spinach and artichoke(Garlic, Parmesan, Olives, Provolone Cheese & White Sauce) and I liked it for all its juicy goodness. Every bite is so rich, buttery, and cheesy that it’s hard to stop. I also tried the Pepper Pie(Peppadews, Jalepenos, Poblano Peppers, Crumbled Hot Sausage, Mozzarella & Red Sauce) and I love the flavors of the spices mixed with the sweet sauce. It’s about $ 18 for a huge 16″ which ends up not being too bad since the slices are so rich and filling. I would say this would be my go-to Sunday delivery cure for whatever I got myself into the night before but it’s closed on Sundays.
