The food is as it states, delicious. The staff great. I had the crab butternut squash risotto, amazing. I also just happened be there when a cooking class from Nocca came in and it was fantastic to see the owners come and explain the way they started and what they wanted to achieve(also fellow New Yorkers). This is a great spot and I’m glad it’s in my new neighbourhood.

This is a hipsters delight. I have been here on several occasions and even had delivery when my sister lived close by. They seem to have a rotation of sorts on the availability of «pizza by the slice» for dining in. It seems you can make your own choices when you order a whole pizza. The restaurant is neat and clean, and so is the restroom. On nice days, you can dine outside. Peak hours can be very busy, standing room only. The eggplant parmesan pizza is awesome. But honestly, I haven’t had a bad slice or bad service. The garlic knots are very garlic-y and kind of tough, but it comes with marinara sauce for dipping. Definitely a good place for groups. The target audience seems to be toward the hipster genre, and if it were the early 90’s, I would expect the Cure to be playing on the stereo. I do like the pizza, and the service. I may not come back daily or weekly, but I will be back!

My boyfriend and I come from a place where pizza is a way of life. Ever since moving to Louisiana we have had the toughest time finding a good local pizza joint. We finally found a place worthy of our picky tastes! I love that they allow you to buy pizza by the slice, that way you get to try a variety of specialty toppings. I got a slice of the vegan pizza of the day(with real cheese). It was a slightly spicy broccoli and onion slice that was delish. The garlic knots were fantastic as well. and you get a lot. The best part however was the Caesar salad. It was probably the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back!

Pizza delicious is one of my favorite local pizza joints. They make a fantastic thin, crispy, New York style pizza. There are few regular pizzas on the menu, along with a few sides and salads. They also have daily specials, but this is not a place where you can«build your own.» The portions here are very large. The garlic knots are really a service for 4 or more adults. 1 pizza could probably serve 4 adults as well. For a party of 2, I would advise in ordering by the slice.

As a New Yorker I make it a point to try pizza from other places when I travel, mainly to reaffirm what I already know, that we make the best. The reason I came to Pizza Delicious was because at some point I think I MAY want to spend a longer amount of time in NOLA, and was wondering if it would even be possible to get good pizza, and the owners of this place are apparently from NY, so they KNOW. And they did good, I was floored. This is the best pizza I’ve had outside of NYC. And this wasn’t «good for New Orleans» pizza, it just solid pizza that could stand on it’s own. Thin crust, in places crispy and in places more doughy, a nice balance. Good sauce to cheese ratio. Nice job guys! They also have an good beer selection(Brooklyn Lager).

I think PD has got the best pizza in the city. The blend of spices in the sauces, the thin, foldable crust and the perfect balance of toppings… OMG. I die. Simple, straight-forward offerings keep decision overload at bay. Want that pizza vegan? They can do that. Want a slice only? They can do that. Want to inhale garlic so no one will kiss you for days, their garlic knots will do that. Want a beer with that pie? Done. Outdoor seating, sure thing! Pizza Delicious is the embodiement of their name and I will continue to go and go, again and again.

Artwork and décor is amazing. Employees are personable and pleasant. the pasta, turnip, pork dish was good, the meat flavoring strong… and the pizza, tomato’s, spinich, cheese, was huge in size, and amazing. You can’t stop at one slice…

Funky/fresh part of town — will definitely come back for the Saturday Piety street market and grab a slice of «D» while wondering around. We ordered half margherita half mushroom and spinach pesto. I enjoyed the outer crust. And the garlic bites were delicious! Margherita had nice fresh basil but the mozzarella was bland — and the spinach pesto wasn’t as fresh as I’d hoped — sorry Pizza Delicious — I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and was bummed it wasn’t the best pizza in Nola. Worth your time if you are in the area. Still gotta give props to Midway Pizza even though it is not a New York style pizza like Pizza Delicious, it’s still #1 in the metro.

Best pizza in all the city of New Orleans is conveniently located down the street from me. I eat here at least once a week, sometimes twice. My favorite trick is to grab a slice to eat then and to take a slice to go for later. Pizza D is great as leftovers too! The pizza is reliable and delicious and the slices are reasonably priced at $ 3.25 each. There’s a good rotation of specialty slices(my favorite is the brusselsprout). But if you’re not a pizza eater, the pasta is amazing(bucatini!). When I switch things up from slices, I usually opt for the house salad. All the salads are great, always crisp and fresh. Pizza D can be really crowded at times, but things move along fairly quickly. The service is fast and friendly and the outdoor space is lovely, especially after dark when the lights are on. Great for families, great for a quick slice and a beer with friends, great all the time!

Thanks to Steve, I was finally able to try Pizza Delicious after hearing all of the raves about it. Apparently, this is a pretty hot spot on a Friday night. When I first arrived, the line to order was nearly out the door. Once I made my way to the outdoor patio, and said my hellos, I headed back inside to tackle the long line and place my order. I decided to get one slice of pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad(I know, who gets salad at a pizza place? I’m trying to eat a bit healthier these days. Blah). Once you order, they give you a number and bring your food out to you when it’s ready. The first thing that came out was my slice of pizza. It was really big and looked delicious. I took a bite, and as good as it was, it was ALLGREASE. I mean, the grease was dripping out of it when I bit it. I know that pizza is naturally a greasy food, but this just seemed extreme. I was pretty happy that I only got one slice, otherwise I would have really felt gross. That sound you hear is my attempt at eating healthier soaring out of the window. My salad then came out. I ordered my Caesar salad in a «go box», because I wanted the dressing on the side. Sometimes I tell these places that I want the dressing on the side and they don’t remember. Restaurants ALWAYS remember when you ask for the salad«to go»; just a tip. ANYWAY, the salad was so good! It was big and packed with a generous amount of cheese and croutons, so I was really happy and it definitely made up for the greasy pizza. I would definitely recommend the salad. Because we had a large group, we sat outside so we would have room. Even though it was a nice cool evening, the mosquitoes attacked me with a vengeance. I was chewed up, y’all! Not cute. Maybe they can put a citronella candle out there or something. Other than that, it was really nice to sit outside. Ha. All in all, Pizza Delicious wasn’t bad. I think if I go back, I’ll get a pizza with more veggies on it, in order to cut down on the grease factor.

It’s great pizza! It is, it’s just whoa out of the way for me living in Mid city. If there was another, closer location, i would without a doubt be getting all my Za fixes from them. Like everyone else, I’d heard rave things about Pizza D for years, I even remember their Kickstarter campaign to get the new space and pit and whatever. I like to wait until a craze dies down before trying one of the new, hot joints. Still, after all this time and hype, they come through on a good, quality pie. The thin-crust, crunchy New York style is the only way a pizza should be and it’s perfected over here folks. Arriving here, there is not a big sign or anything marking the place, yet you’ll know you’re in the right spot by either the line out the door, or the flurry of activity going in and outta here. The inside is cool, pretty hip much like the rest of places in this neighborhood. There’s some interesting art on the walls too, check it out. Decided to get this off my list for the UFC fight night. Went with half margherita, half pepperoni and an order of garlic knots. The pepperoni was absolutely perfect, while the margherita was also a wise choice. As we all(may) know margherita should be eaten as fresh as possible because the crust does not fare well over time. It tends to get sloppy and soggy if you wait too long. No doubt those ingredients are fresh, it definitely shines through. The garlic knots were really good too. I ordered two because I wasn’t sure how many came to an order(should have asked) but my party finished them all off, no problem. Note that if you get marnirana sauce, it’s cold. I like mine hot, so I had to warm it up when I got back to the spot. All n all, it lives up to its name, however Mid City pizza is such a close competitor, i think I’ll stick to them unless I’m not in the neighborhood. Great job.

A lot of people think this is the best pizza place in New Orleans, but I’m still gonna give it to Pizza Domenica… HOWEVER Pizza Delicious is a close second in my book. The pizzas are huge and tasty. I’m not a vegan by any definition, but I got the vegan spinach & roasted garlic pesto pizza, just because it sounded dang good. And it was! Definitely a good place to grab a pie before heading over to Crescent Park, conveniently located right down the street. *tip for a pleasant ass date*

Unfortunately we missed the«secret off the menu» knot-chos, but tried the garlic knots and a few slices — pepperoni, cheese and roasted cauliflower with red onion. Good taste and good service. Lots of character and unique art on walls.

What can I say about this place that hasn’t been said over and over again? Its freaking delicious. From the seating to the beer to the smells to the staff to the food to the music. Its delicious. Just straight delicious. Their rolls, their pizza, their pasta, their salads. Delicious. I always go for a cold beer, and their Caesar salad with the white anchovies and a pie… if its a special, pepperoni or margarita. Im always blown away. And they deliver, on bikes, in my neighborhood.

Color me surprised when we stumbled upon one of the best pizza places I’ve ever visited during our trip to New Orleans. The salads are fresh and creative: pickled peaches, smoked feta, and arugula? Yes please! The garlic knots are chewy little nuggets of bread heaven. Great for sharing with a larger group because one order comes with a ton of ‘em. And make sure to request the marinara for dipping. The pizza was on point. We went with slices, not the whole pie, and wondered if they’d fall a little flat. I’m happy to report that my eggplant slice and my husband’s classic pepperoni were delicious. We could have easily had an entire second meal with other menu items that tempted us. The various rolls(cauliflower and broccoli, in particular) and the pasta specials looked amazing. Oh, and bring your vegan friends because they offer daiya cheese and vegan spinach pesto to please a dairy-free pal.

I’m sure everyone has gotten the point by now by all the reviews, but I have to jump on the Pizza Delicious bandwagon. My husband(then bf) first introduced me to this place ages ago when he was doing this random pizza challenge around the city and they were located in the backyard of the little house. Recently having visited the not so new building anymore, I must say they continue to produce simple, yet delicious pizzas. There’s nothing worse than an overwhelming menu so I was very happy that the options were so limited. We decided on cauliflower rolls, meatball pizza and the pasta special of the day which was a shrimp and snap pea risotto. I’m a huge cauliflower fan, but I was very unenthused along with the rest of my party after trying it. Try it for yourself though. Same with the risotto, something was just off. The pizza though was OUTSTANDING. I love me a good pie and that thing was perfect! Be forewarned though, their pizzas are huge. Three of us shared a pizza and still had leftovers for dinner that night. On a side note, I’m not sure a good time to come as they seem to be always rollin in there when I pass by, but if not there’s always to go.

So, I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my lifetime… but this place is HANDSDOWNTHEBEST in my 28 years of life!!! This sounds weird, but it is also the best meal I have had in my 6 months of eating my way around NOLA. Ambiance– Amazeballs. Kids, date night, adults, families, everybody is having a good time here. It’s crowded, but not too crowded. You will wait in line, but the line will move quickly and you will get served in a timely fashion. There is cool art to distract you while you wait. You have to order at the counter and then they give you a little number to put on your table and then they bring the food out to you when it is ready. Food– Cauliflower roll– I mean what is this magical wizardry? It’s a vegetable, and a roll, and somehow also reminds me of mac n cheese. Try it. Pizza– NY style. I am a Chicagoan by birth but spent about 5 years in the NY area and they do make a good pie. I love you can see them hand tossing the pizzas in the back. Margherita is where it is at. Crispy crust, fresh ingredients, huge pie. YUM. Caesar salad– Okay, I could write an entire novel on this salad. YOU. MUST. ORDER. THIS. SALAD. You can thank me later. Best salad of my life. Not kidding. Fresh, perfectly dressed, lemony, crunchy. I need to stop because my mouth is watering and I am getting hungry. Long story short, go here. It’s awesome. Credit cards accepted. And they have beer. It is a little pricey but your tummy will thank you.

Want to make a decent workout seem like a distant memory from a time long, long ago? Demolish a signature pepperoni roll on the way home from picking up your giganto pizza from the Pizza D. It’s like they went to Pepperoni Town, rounded up the whole population of ‘ronis, rolled them up in some yum yum dough and served it up to me in this one glorious baseball size of, well, delicious…$ 3 each or $ 5 for 2. This wasn’t my first rodeo with Pizza Delicious. I went there when it was in a backyard and all word-of-mouth…glowing phones at picnic tables were frowned upon. Since they’ve grown both on social media and into their pretty brick and mortar, I’ve gotten to enjoy a few to-go pies. Make sure you ain’t hangry if you order takeout. I’ve had some longer wait times than your standard pizza pick up on a weekend night. Their pies are very large and have thinner base but still has a really nice, doughie crust. While the regular pies are good, I’ve had some really great specials with seasonal toppings. Our most recent order of one of their staple pies, a margherita, that we added prosciutto to($ 5 more on an already pseudo pricey pizza) was pretty light on the prosciutto so I might just stick to the more cost-effective, additional toppings next time if I don’t go with a special. Back to that pepperoni roll. Y’all. If I lived closer I would literally turn into a pepperoni roll. So ridiculously good. I definitely want to dine in sometime soon. Really cool interior and I love the window facing out toward the Old Ironworks.
