3 more stars would be added but for the seriously passive aggressive, should I just say rude?, waitress. Food was delicious and we really liked the ambiance other than the lack of polite service, which is inexcusable. As a native New Orleanian, I was excited to take my visiting college friends for a nice dinner at this place I’d heard great things about. I’ve never experienced such bizarre behavior from a wait person… ever. In a city where gracious hospitality is an art form, this will not do, and it will kill this otherwise lovely restaurant, in fairly short order, if not addressed.

This place is a good find-seems like mostly locals, which always is good. The best thing that we had was a pizza with butternut squash and ricotta. The surprising ingredient, however unknown to our waitress, was little bits of mozzarella. That was unfortunate, because the menu didn’t say that and that’s why you order a ricotta pie. Otherwise, it’s a little bit loud but the nice atmosphere if you can put up with the noise.

If we could give 6 stars, we would! Ham and cheese breakfast pizza was to die for. Chicken and bacon sausage was amazingly flavorful with a little bit of a kick. Mimosas flowed. The kitchen staff of Jack and Andrew easily put out 80 meals while we sat at the counter — and when it wasn’t just right, we saw it get thrown away as it is evident quality is important to this group. Jack is one of the owners and I applaud you for what you offer and hope you make a gazillion bucks!

Great service, food was perfect. I dined here 4 times in a week and every thing I ate was bite by bite packed with flavor… not typical Nola food, but welcome break from heavy dining options. The service was like trained ninjas: silent, meditative and confident. The food was a great value, expressive, extravagant and creative… colorful and of the highest quality! I’m hard to please… I’ll return here until they ban me… which has happened, present tense included! Great area and community environment to retreat from French quarter… for peace A classic destination and family feel… staff is fluent and smooth… Well done! Abc!

I’m vegan so I absolutely couldn’t eat here. :(Maybe the chef should add a vegan salad or something that the cheese could be removed from. It so common in every other NOLA restaurant. Great ambiance and drinks.

This place is getting 5 stars from me. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. My boyfriend and I are from Philly and are HUGE foodies. I plan my vacations around the food. This restaurant just went in my top 5 for New Orleans.

Found this place while looking for a restaurant near Frenchman st. It was a little bit more expensive than we had hoped, but the food and atmosphere were great! As a self-proclaimed foodie, it was cool being at the bar overlooking the kitchen.

The space is really pretty and great for a casual date or meeting a group of friends. The bar is solid with a good wine selection. I was hoping for the same when it came to the food but it was not to be. The pizza and salads are its saving grace and by that I mean tasty and consistent. Entrée dishes however, are hit or miss. I had the fish(not sure if it was the regular or a special) and I found it salty and the skin chewy instead of nice and crispy. My companion had the ravioli and it lacked flavor. If your in the mood for good pizza, tasty salad and a stiff drink this is your place. I’ll be back to see if I can bump it up to four stars. Ps. Really wish Unilocal would let us do half stars.

Pretty space, great drinks. I’ve found the food hit or miss. Pizza is reliable. On my last visit, I ordered pasta(pumpkin ravioli, I believe) and it was nothing special — not what I’d expect at Paladar. Service is pretty good — not fast but not slow. Not terribly friendly but usually efficient. I’ve been to Paladar probably four or five time — two of those times I can remember a guest at my table asking the server for a recommendation. And both times they shrugged and said«It’s all good» or similar. That may be(mostly) true, but it wouldn’t hurt to give a hand to unfamiliar diners.

I’ve heard amazing things about Paladar 511, and finally got a chance to grab brunch with a friend at this beautiful location right past Elysian Fields on Marigny St. The location is beautiful. If I could live in it I would. Tall, communal tables with fresh flowers, large booths for big groups, what looks to be a private dining area upstairs, and comfortable upholstered chairs. Vampires beware, a ton of natural light, open kitchen, and beautiful chandeliers. Their brunch menu is simple, with ten items and a choice of some sides. Our waitress was extremely patient with us since my friend was struggling to choose between various dishes(a good thing, in my opinion). I enjoyed the Bloody Mary. Freshly-made with horseradish, but not really spicy, just a solid drink with a celery, lemon, onions and green bean garnish. We ordered the yellowfin tuna crudo($ 14), korean steak and eggs($ 14), and the spicy breakfast pizza($ 14). The Yellowfin tuna crudo’s flavors were bright and fresh(running theme here). Fennel, navel orange, avocado, and chunks of tuna with roasted pistachios and a very light cumin-lime vinaigrette. The Korean steak and eggs was a generous portion that I gobbled up. Braised short ribs, shiitake mushrooms, rice, and fried egg with chives, red cabbage, and sesame seeds sprinkled on top. I would say snap your pretty pictures, and then mix it all together so that you get a bit of everything in every bite. I did need some more spice to it, and they have every complementary version of hot sauce you could ask for: Crystal, Tabasco, Cholula, Sriracha… I went with Sriracha and this worked best for me to bring out the flavors! Every bit of this dish was delicious and paired incredibly well with the other ingredients. I picked through the rice to finish off the bits of shiitake mushrooms. I was probably hitting full at this point and tastebuds shutting down, so I don’t know if I can give the best rep of the spicy breakfast pizza. I didn’t feel like it was spicy, but the tomato sauce had this sweet, homemade deliciousness to it. I’m not a big egg-on-pizza person, but again, I didn’t eat much in the way of the pizza since I was killing the Korean steak and eggs. What I gather from this location is that they’re not going to over season anything, and want the ingredients that they’re using to all be able to come out on their own without blanketing them with one particular part of the recipe. If you like more kick, or spice, ask for it. This brunch menu was just a tease. I’ve heard that the menu changes seasonally, and I think your best bet is to make a reservation with a group so you can try as many dishes as possible!

I’m a complete failure for waiting so long to type up a review as well as not having taken ANY pictures. Sorry Unilocal family. Hopefully, the pics others have taken will suffice. I know my family and I ate so many different things that night and sadly, the only things I can remember eating for sure are: arancini, eggplant pizza, Italian sausage pizza, brussel sprouts(side dish). This measly list is not due to them being my favorites although I would commit myself to long term relationships with the arancini and eggplant pizza. They were delicious. So flavorful and decently sized. The arancini(2) were hot, tender, juicy, and cheesy. The accompanying sauce was not acidic or too tart/sweet. It really was damn near perfect. The sausage pizza was good, but couldn’t outshine the eggplant pizza — it was so much tastier than the sausage pizza ever was. The flavor profiles seemed a little flat in comparison to the the eggplant pizza and I don’t even care for eggplant! The brussel sprouts were the best I’ve ever eaten. They were not bitter, they were not under or overcooked. I think it had bacon and there was a good amount of cheese on top — that alone gets five stars, completely delicious. None of the appetizers or entrees went untouched, all the plates were almost licked clean. We had the nicest guy as our server — another apology owed because I can’t remember his name. He was helpful, patient and enthusiastic about the food and Paladar in general, you can’t really beat that in terms of customer service. I know there are so many other places to eat in NOLA, but I think Paladar is a winner and I’LLBEBACK!

Had to write a review because this place and food just gave me all sorts of euphoric feels. It’s so beautiful inside and everything we ordered was amazing! Must try! Brunch and dinner menus are amazing.

BLUF: Crazy good everything. Pizza, cocktails, apps. I love this part of town. So much character. This place is hidden and huge and you wouldnt know it was there. Very nice place but still felt relaxed. Very modern and hip inside. Great staff and service. We got there early and it was empty and was quickly full. I started with a cocktail because… ‘Merica. It was great. I forget exactly what it was but it had egg whites. We started with the raviolo(kinda like a ravioli) with mushrooms. It was crazy good. Very very good. We shared 2 entrees. The egg pizza was amazing. The egg was cooked perfect and ran so you had to eat parts of it with knife and fork. It was really good. We also go the crispy chicken entre which was also very good but less intresting than the other 2 things we got. No complaints at all though. There was absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. They exceeded every expectation for each thing ordered. Great place.(I just checked their menu and it looked different so all the more reason to keep going back)

Everything is great about this place– well, almost. The food is superb, the space is a sheer pleasure to be in– so open and airy. And the staff is both very knowledgeable and friendly– except for the one stiff waitress with attitude. She can really ruin your evening. Ask for another server if you get her. She acts arrogant and condescending– extremely superior attitude. This is totally at odds with the whole vibe of the restaurant and their group effort to make you feel part of their family for the evening. She really left a bad taste in my mouth. :-(

Brunch review: Apparently just started serving brunch and it was delicious! The farm egg pizzas ugh SOGOOD! If you want something new non fried non southern and totally filling and warm in your belly, come here for brunch. The space is amazing, huge windows and a very hip cool hipster vibe, music sets the mood. I am not giving it 5 starts just because it was a bit slow. However, quality of food and friendliness of service are top notch. I think they are getting the hang of the brunch speed. Definitely coming back… NOLA needs good brunch spots like this. It would be a perfect Saturday or Sunday option.

Everything we had here was delicious! The right amount of portion! The service was great and not too overbearing. The interior makes you feel warm and inviting. Will definitely be back to experience sitting at the bar to check out the open kitchen experience. Everyone worked so gracefully together and although it was an open kitchen concept, the ventilation did it’s job and we couldn’t smell a thing. Normally with that style of kitchen, I would leave a restaurant smelling like food! The prices were reasonable and the menu was pretty straight forward and simple. Can’t wait to come back and try out other dishes!

In my best Larry David voice, this place is prettaaayyy prettayyy good. First, love love love the interior décor. Beautiful space. Second, food was great. We had the salad with lemon/anchovy vinaigrette(good), arancini(great), two pizzas(one squash the other traditional mozz/basil and I added pepperoni) — very fresh ingredients on both– yum! For dessert– the blueberry pie– so good.

Very trendy, hip looking place. Open kitchen so you can see the all the action taking place. People making pizza, while others preparing sauces and food. Service is ok. She wasn’t very warming. Our waitress was not very convincing when we asked her about the different cocktails. Out of all the food we ordered, I enjoyed the pizza and desserts the most. Order the blueberry pie and pana cotta cake!

Nola and SF had a baby. They named it Paladar511. Beautiful open space with lots of natural light. Appetizers: Tuna Crudo was excellent with raw tuna, fresh avocado, roasted pistachio, and Louisiana citrus. Heaven! Mussels were heavy on the saffron. Is that a bad thing? Sangria? Oh so fresh! Pizza heaven. See pictures! Magnificent dessert: Ricotta cake with candied kumquats, dark chocolate tiramisu, buttermilk Panna cotta with strawberries and housemade gingersnaps Parking is difficult bc of all the narrow one ways, but hey! it’s the Marigny! I’m ok with that. I want to go back for the housemade pasta!
