1 star for pick up orders. Actually it didn’t deserve that either. I called in my order and I arrived on time. My food was super delayed as I saw them fulfill other orders, orders that came in after mine that were made in the restaurant. Words of advice, you’re better off placing your to-go order in the restaurant than calling it in ahead of time. Plus they ran out of brown rice and I was told this past the pick up time I was given so I ended up with white rice. Not only was my food late, i didn’t get what i wanted

I hate chains but had to try this place since I actually like PF Changs and heard it was part of the Family. I really like PF Changs allot. Well, Pei Wei was a sorry mistake by them IMO anyway. It sucks. Service, food and everything else. They need to regroup this concept.

As a busy single mom, Pei Wei has become my 11 year old son’s go-to dinner place. He can get a freshly cooked healthy dinner for about the same amount I would have paid at one of the burger places, and I no longer feel guilty about what he’s eating! Additionally, we are always treated courteously by all of the staff. TIP: If you want the fastest take out, call in advance. I found the online ordering somewhat cumbersome.

I recently moved to New Orleans and decided to give this Pei Wei a try since it had been one of my favorite fast go to meals in my former city. The thing with chain restaurants is that they should for the most part taste similar from location to location. I ate regularly at about four difference Pei Weis in my former city and have eaten at locations around the country. This location did not taste like the Pei Wei I know. Granted, the food was not bad, but it wasn’t great either. I ordered the sesame chicken and found it to be not well seasoned and the sauce consistency to be off. I ordered spring rolls, and while the contents were correct, they were wrapped in egg roll wrappers. I’ll probably give this location another try, as it truly is one of the only«fast food» places I enjoy. I’m hoping that this particular experience was just off for some reason. Edit: I tried this location again last night and have edited my review to 4 stars. Last night I got the Kung Pao chicken and egg rolls. The chicken was great! This location makes it less spicy than what I’m accustomed to, but the overall flavor was there. The spring rolls were still wrapped the the incorrect wrapper, but we’re good nonetheless. In the future I’ll just request my dishes be prepared extra spicy and I’m sure I’ll get accustomed to the different spring rolls. I’m happy to say this experience was far better than the first.

Food is good but the cleanliness is awful. Payment pad where you slide your card & punch card code was sticky, sugar packs were all moist as if the sugar got wet inside, condiment containers(soy sauce) were all sticky and dirty to grab(needs a wipe down), and silverware looked dirty.

I have eaten here several times now. I think that this is a healthier version of fast food. Tonight I had the original teriyaki with tofu and vegetables. There was a lot of iceberg lettuce and onions. I should learn to ask for no onions since there are so many. Ingredients were very fresh. There was not enough rice, in my opinion. I love the beverage machine. The restaurant is always so clean, the wait staff is nice. Service always seems to be extremely slow during peak hours.

Wow. Just got the Asian Chopped Chicken Salad: a big bowl of Chicken, lettuce, Napa cabbage, carrots, Thai basil, tomatoes, wontons, sesame seeds, sesame ginger vinaigrette… But no, wait, there is no SESAMEGINGERVINAIGRETTE in my take out bag. And I’m back at my office. Tastes pretty dry without the dressing. Had to use some of the soy sauce that, luckily came with the sushi I ordered. Fail.

Ok besides the fact that it took an entire 30 minutes for my food to be ready(thought this was supposed to be fast-ish food) the caramel chicken was delicious! Healthy portions(not new orleans style overflowing plays that lead to food induced comas!) and very fresh ingredients. Some of the screens were out and they didn’t have any paper menus, but those are minor fixes. Go give them a try!

The poor quality of service. The food is too sweet and heavy. There has no real Asian food! I’m so disappointed

I wish I had read the reviews before going here. I am a big pei wei fan ever since it opened in baton rouge so I thought it was a safe bet to get some good food in a reasonable timeframe. There were two other people in the dining area and about 6 – 8 employees. If you’ve never been to a pei wei, you can see them cooking but all they were doing was messing around which ended up with me waiting for 24 minutes to get my sesame chicken. The rice was cold and chicken, although edible, was on the verge of being chewy. I will never go there again but it won’t stop me from trying other pei wei’s considering how delicious the baton rouge location has been.

I have eaten at their Veterans Blvd. location without complaint so I decided on take-out for lunch from this location. BADIDEA. I ordered a cup of wonton soup. The greens in the soup were obviously old and very discolored(as they would be if they were rotting) and the broth tasted extremely salty. It was inedible, but the old greens were enough to turn me off. I also ordered the Thai lettuce rolls appetizer. Rolls. What I received was a box of soggy, oily meat with a few slices of cucumber and a slice of lettuce that had large, rotten portions to it — CLEARLYVISIBLETOTHEPERSONWHOSLICEDANDPACKAGEDIT. It took almost 15 minutes in an almost empty restaurant to get my order. I will never go here again. I wasted my money as the entire meal ended up in the trash can.

I have been to this Pei Wei’s twice, the first time I thought the service was okay but the food was good. I can’t remember what I got, but I do remember feeling like I paid too much money for it. The second time I thought both the service and the food were mediocre. I chose Pei Wei because I wanted a semi-healthy meal fast, and I needed to have some leftovers to bring for lunch the next day. I got the Thai Dynamite chicken, steamed, with brown rice. The whole thing was about $ 10. It took them 20 minutes to get my food to me, but I didn’t have anywhere to be and I appreciated that they were making each dish as ordered and didn’t just have premade stuff waiting in the back. However, when I got home I found that 2⁄3 of my plate was rice with just a large scoopful of chicken. I was really disappointed in this ratio, considering that the rice was bland(not fried rice) and I needed to mix it all up and add quite a bit of soy sauce to give anything flavor. I’m pretty sure that the next time I’m in the mood for Chinese food I’m going to one of the local Chinese food places. Pei Wei is just too overpriced and doesn’t have any flavor.

I had a big problem with my DC finishing her food before mine arrived, when I mentioned it to the cashier she told me that that’s normal because the salads come from a different part of the kitchen.

I usually love this place but tonight was no good. It took about 30 minutes to get our to-go food. By the time I got home, I realized they gave me shrimp instead of chicken lo mein bowl. On top of that, the hot and sour soup had a terrible burnt like taste to it. I won’t be going back for awhile. Price isn’t worth it.

This place is on a decline and fast! Cold soup 3x’s! And everything else wasn’t nearly as good as when it first opened! What a shame.

We went at lunch time and ate in. The food was mediocre at best. I got the honey glazed chicken and fried rice. The rice was very dry. The chicken was ok but not very flavorful. Also, it seemed expensive for what I got. We didn’t have to wait long for our food though and the atmosphere wasn’t bad, which was nice. Probably won’t go back.

What would possess them to take the vegetarian lettuce wraps off the menu is beyond me. I have absolutely no reason to go here now. Everything else is bland and mediocre especially for the price. The service is slow and unfriendly. I used to be a Pei Wei fan. This location has changed that.

Good service, nice clean place, and convenient parking. That’s it on the good points. The food sounds asian, looks asian, but definitely does not taste like it. The Thai Lime and Chili had too much acidity and salt. The chicken tasted fine if eaten alone with the rice but when eaten with the veggies it killed my taste buds and I couldn’t finish. Also ordered the Pei Wei Spicy Steak with rice. Bland and too much peanuts. Doubt I’ll come here again.

This is a review for to-go, not dine-in. First off, love that there is parking for to-go orders and that people respect it. I hate trying to find a spot when I want to-go, so that was awesome. The restaurant is very clean and sleek with the open kitchen. The menus are huge and lit up even though the ambiance is darker in the restaurants. I ordered the Korean Steak Lettuce Wraps and the Hot & Sour Soup. I didn’t realize it but the Hot & Sour Soup doesn’t have a little pepper by it indicating a spicy dish, though I assume that if it say’s Hot, it’d be spicy. It’s a darker Hot & Sour Soup than I’m used to, and usually the place I get it from comes with a bag of crispy noodles to give it some texture. I wasn’t a huge fan. The lettuce wraps definitely had more flavor dimension though I don’t think they were spicy as the pepper indicated and they give you a ton of lettuce with a to-go order. My mom had the Wok Roasted Vegetable Salad and it was huge for $ 7 or so bucks. The staff was very nice, and the food came out promptly. I’d definitely try some other things on the menu, but may kick it up a notch with some Sriracha.
