Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Arrived for a reservation at 8:30, got seated at 9:15, got our food at 10:00, which is when we were supposed to be at another engagement. We asked for the bill when our food arrived and explained that we needed to rush to another event because we got served so late, and our waiter obliged, but then didn’t return to check on us or pick up the check until we were finished eating, so it saved us no time at all. I will never return here and I went out of my way to tell my friends the same.

I Amin the restaurant right now on News Years Eve leaving a review. Why, you ask, do I have time to leave a review while sitting in the restaurant. Well, I have been here since 8:15 with 8:30 reservations, seated at 8:45 and it is now 10:10 and the only reason we received our appetizer us because we were going to leave. No entrée yet. The service staff is attentive but nothing else happening. Okay, just ate. Food is excellent. The waitress was delightful. Must be problems in the kitchen.

Wow! This place is wonderful. Excellent service. Excellent food! I had the summer roll(not fried). Excellent!(It got it with fish sauce in lieu of the peanut sauce.) The steamed beggar purses were delicious! Then I ordered the nutty crusted LA oyster appetizer. Exquisite and perfectly prepared. All three appetizers were excellent and immediately served. Good internet! As this is not traditional Vietnamese cooking, but a bit fusion, it is priced accordingly. Highly recommended. Will be back.

I have been here in the past(a couple of years ago) for lunch, and decided to come back for dinner. I came early enough to avoid a rush, which I enjoyed eating without a crowd. I ordered the Minh mule(their twist on the drinks like the moscow mule), which was refreshing. I decided to order the crab and corn soup and a couple of appetizers as I was hungry, but not hungry hungry. The soup was HOT, but delicious once it cooled down some. The shrimp dumplings were a nice surprise, as I was expecting more of the type of dumpling you get at a dim sum breakfast, but these were more like a crispy perogi. The sauce on top was sweet and yummy. The tri-meat(one beef kabob, one chicken kabob and one pork) kabobs were just perfect. The restaurant is very neat and clean, a very up-scale looking type of place. The wait staff was very friendly. I look forward to coming back.

Make sure you have a reservation when planning to dine at Café Minh, because if not you will be seated immediately adjacent to the toilets while tables sit unoccupied at the front of the restaurant for the duration of the evening. I requested another table, but was told all were reserved(6:15, Thursday evening). You might be there for 90+ minutes, served cocktails, an appetizer, your entrée, and pay your $ 103.00 bill without seeing anyone approach these empty«reserved» tables. When you leave the restaurant, there is no line, no one approaching, no one looking for parking, and the tables are still unoccupied. Several of the empty four tops had been given to parties of two while many two top tables remained empty. The food might have been delicious, but my party of three will never know. The smell of urine seeping out of the bathrooms combined with the warm humid air hanging over these rear tables robbed one of their appetite. Have your air conditioner serviced, deodorize the bathrooms, and treat your single middle aged female diners better.

My most favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The phở’s are excellent. The Vietnamese French fusion dishes are likewise wonderful. Whenever I’m in Nola, I plan on eating there.

The food here is amazing!!! Between the oysters, diver’s scallop, and soft shell crab, you can’t go wrong!!! The service was amazing and the owners are fantastic. They made sure all of our needs were met. This place is a local hidden gem! Do not miss it!!!

Amazing food, great ambiance and fantastic service! The menu is very creative. I highly recommend jumbo diver scallops, soft shell crab and seafood pasta. The restaurant also has a great wine selection. The décor is intimate and elegant. The chef owners are friendly and the waitstaff is very attentive.

Drinks are good. Steak was over cooked. They did have a great dragon show! It’s a pricey menu with hit or miss quality.

Great duck! Great«purses» appetizer and the pork chop was excellent. 50% off wine on Mon — Wed and it was a great quiet experience. This means wine is priced normally so don’t get too excited. Mid City gem and fancy at not too fancy prices except liquor…

This review is a little late, considering, the occasion that I went there was aug 26, 2011. The reason that I remember so vividly what the date was, is because I woke up the next day with severe food poisoning. I was sick for 8 months with stomach cramps, and diarrhea so bad I couldn’t leave the house. Then finally when I got the doctor to listen and prescribe a antibiotic for me, it ended up costing $ 635.00! Needless to say I won’t go back.

Ambiance: on the nicer side Price: overpriced(1 pasta dish, 1 entrée, 2 waters = $ 37) Parking: street parking only Food: odd menu, average tasting results Had dinner with a friend on a Thursday night. For a restaurant that says«Asian Fusion» I actually expected to see more Asian Fusion than what is listed on the menu. My friend and I had the summer rolls, which comes with two large rice paper rolls filled with fresh veggies that is cut in half(4 pieces) with a delicious peanut sauce. Then we split the red curry shrimp with angel hair pasta. We were charged $ 3 for«1 split in 2 plate» since they served us in two separate plates; I’m not sure if the up charge was because they gave us more food, but it’s just something to note. The shrimp were very good, but had the tail on, which was awkward since we were eating angel hair pasta. Also of note is that you can order this dish with rice, which I think might taste better. The dish was good, and came with 6 shrimp each and a large amount noodles. The curry was spicy as a red curry should be, and I do like angel hair pasta so the combination wasn’t bad… I just would’ve rather paid around $ 15 for it. For $ 24 for pasta I expect something other than noodles that taste like they came out of a box. Not to end the review on a bad note, I do like the ambiance of the restaurant if you’re in the mood for a nice evening, and want to splurge on some of their seafood specials of the night. The water is served with lime instead of lemon, which I much prefer. Overall, I wouldn’t just drop in here for a regular night, or for Asian food as you might be disappointed. If you want a nice night out, and you want to splurge on their specials, then this would be a good place for that.

I was a regular here years ago for lunch. There was an amazing chicken with tomato and rice dish that I loved. Occasionally, I would come here for dinner. The service is good. Many times, the chefs would come out and greet us. Plate presentation is a 5-star. This place is a little pricey. Tip: Parking is a little tough during lunch hours because it’s street parking.

I was utterly impressed with the Grilled Shrimp Salad! Plenty of Shrimp and grilled perfectly. I will most definitely return, lots of daily specials, in addition to many menu choices and a lot of my favorites.

I always regret not reading Unilocal before going to a new restaurant. And today I regretted it. I didn’t understand what was going on with the menu — oh, Asian fusion. OK, that’s my bad. I ended up ordering the fried calamari. It was delicious! It was all body, so if you’re a little squeamish, don’t worry, you won’t have tentacles sticking out. You get a lot of calamari for $ 12. I got to try one of my friend’s shrimp dumplings, and though it was good, a little pricey for $ 8 for 4 dumplings. My entrée was the stir fry tofu. This was a let down because it lacked flavor — it just needed more omph. At $ 17, this won’t be a dish I order again. Pro-tip, Watch out for the screen when you enter. It juts out at a funny angle, so when you walk by, you can trip on it.

i thought café minh was a nice meal; however, we only got apps and didn’t go crazy. the special spring roll was very good — crab, lobster & shrimp, flash fried with a citrus dipping sauce. i had no complaints with this one. the beggars purses were good as well, so i’m interested in their dumpling skills. the crabmeat & sweet corn soup was not too impressive. it was pretty bland and not what i expected. sure i should have asked but i was more involved in conversation at that point. still, it could have used a kick. still, i’m interested and will come back again. i think it’s a great place for a nice, quiet dinner.
