This restaurant is now closed(as in out of business) The web site is down, and there is a sign in the window about a new place opening in that location.

A friend from out of town came in with a groupon. I wasn’t sure about the place but we gave it a go. It was during Mardi Gras season and they had a limited menu… and were out of most everything on that! But we all ordered and got great hot bar food… no complaints, but no raves! Irish pub with burgers…

We visited McGuires yesterday to use our Groupon and was pleasantly surprised! The drinks were great and the food was even better! The portions were huge… you can definitely share a burger with a friend if you want… We definitely will return!

This sports bar is located in the Warehouse district, very close to the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and National world War II Museum. Thus, convenient walking distance when you get hungry from either two establishments. Otherwise, it’s a happy hour stop for the locals around the neighborhood. It’s a large bar with parking in the rear. You’ll find some people here(mostly from the museums) getting bar food or drinks. They have good daily happy hour specials. Wasn’t too thrilled about the food, but when you are really hungry, and you’ve downed some beer, their bar food does the job. Kitchen is open all night. After visiting the museums and you’re looking to see the rest of the game and grab some beer, stop on by.

Stopped in to try one of the stuffed deep fried burgers and found that it doesn’t taste nearly as good as it sounds… unless you think it sounds bad, in which case, you’d be correct.
