Prospect.1 New Orleans [P.1], the largest biennial of international contemporary art ever organized in the United States, opened to the public on November 1, 2008 in museums, historic buildings, and found sites throughout New Orleans. The exhibition will run through January 18, 2009.
This is FREE! There are shuttles to transport you to the various locales, so there’s no reason not to attend. For tourists and locals alike, it’s a fantastic way to see the city beyond the French Quarter and the CBD. My favorite so far has been at the Colton School. The goal is to make this event the American version of the Venice Biennale, so show your support!
