Decent food… open all night… good service. Great for what it is – a place to go after midnight.

Had a GREAT Breakfast this morning. Alligator sausage omelet for me and my wife had a vegetarian omelet. The service from our waitress was OUTSTANDING, making sure everything was to our liking. If you are in the city definitely worth the visit.

Breakfast was so delicious I had to go back twice. I discovered that I really enjoy grits here and their biscuits are just right. Ordered the«2 eggs your way»

I would love to tell you how the food was but the customer service was so bad I couldn’t stay and eat. You are told to wait in line to wait for a table so I did. When one came available I sat and was told I was not in line. I however was the 1st group in line and had been waiting for almost 15 minutes. But the workers said that the other party spoke to them so they were 1st. These other people were rude and mouthy. So we got up like we were asked and left. The other group continued to be rude even after we gave up the table. The staff did nothing to help the situation even though there were 2 other tables getting up as well. So as much as I wanted to try the food. I was unable to stay and continue to be verbally assaulted with no intervention. 2 other parties left when we did because they did not want to deal with the atmosphere. So if you go be sure you get in line and they know it!

After spending the day and night on Bourbon, we grabbed some random quick sides(red beans and rice, jambalaya, etc) to close out the night. Service /delivery was quick but the food was not great. Might need to try them when it isn’t the middle of the night.

Great for breakfast. Get there before 9 if possible to avoid the wait. Concerned about some of the other reviews. But we had a great experience. We didn’t have to wait but about 2 to 3 min for a table arouns 9:15 or so on a Friday AM. BTW — there are 2 in the area.

Happy to find a decently priced restaurant near hotel that was NOT in the French Quarter tourist trap. I ordered the sampler: gumbo, jambalaya, red beans & rice included fried green tomatoes on the side(a personal favorite of mine) and biscuit. Staff was friendly and attentive. 2 – 1 Hurricanes, not sure if just Monday nights or all the time? Took apple pie to go. Suggestion to owners, do something more to focus attention from the street(especially view from Canal) because almost kept walking thinking place was closed. Seated in comfy booth, but noticed not all the chairs matched at tables.

Yuck our hotel was close by so we went there. Half the menu food was out. We asked for oysters she said they had not had it for over a year since they were going to renovate. I ordered the gumbo it was horrible shrimp was over cooked. I think frozen gumbo would have been better. We ordered the seafood platter for two $ 29.00 with crawfish hush puppies and soft shell crab. Yup you guest it they were out so we had to get more shrimp and oysters. The oysters were not fresh and I ended up sick all night. The catfish we only got one piece when it was a platter for 2 at almost $ 30bucks. The waitress never refilled drinks or asked if we wanted another beer. The food was horrible, over priced, food poisoning, and they had nothing available just do yourself a favor and try somewhere else.

Awful. Save your money. The WORST jambalaya, po boy, and a burnt BLT. YUCK! My shrimp was so salty I couldn’t eat it, the jambalaya was bland. I mean, how can you mess up jambalaya and stay in business in New Orleans?!

Super friendly people and excellent food and bar drinks. They are open 24 hours and deliver. The spicy sausage po-boy was phenomenal, as was the mixed drink they made for me while I was waiting. The sausage helping was gigantic, the sandwich didn’t stay together — but what taste.

$ 3.99 breakfast special with 2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and toast or biscuit during certain times in the morning!!! YESPLEASE!!! On top of this great deal there were buy one get one free mimosas! This place is a hidden gem. I wish I found out about this place the first day I got to New Orleans than my last day there. Everything about this place is 5 stars for me and I’m usually not that generous in rating. Please try this place if you get the chance!

This place has the best burger and Cajun fries and the best part all under $ 7. The waitress was great and we never wanted for anything.

After examining the breakfast menu/buffet at the AC Marriott Hotel and asking for friendly advice from one of the servers — the suggestion was to have a look at Daisy Dukes. Man, I am glad I did. While being completely an unassuming restaurant front and typical bar/restaurant NOLA theme walking in. I found the entire experience to be fantastic. I was greeted warmly, offered to take a seat anywhere I liked and presented a hot, tasty cup of coffee and glass of water immediately. Everyone on the menu was available and I’m not a breakfast food lover(I was leaning towards a catfish Po-Boy). However, the Cajun Omelet had a certain appeal and I went for it with hash browns. Again, damn glad I did. It was yummy. Recommendation: quite often in NOLA, an other cities where food is an experience in itself, asking a local where they would eat is a great idea. I could not have been happier with my breakfast. OHYEAH — it was far more«cost effective» than the unappealing, completely non-NOLA breakfast offering at my hotel. My 2 Cents Greg T.

I got the Blackened Catfish Platter for lunch today. Upon first glance, I was super excited about it: nice catfish filet, dark roux gumbo, two slices of fried green tomato, and a biscuit. The biscuit was superb. The catfish was borderline raw. I explained the issue nicely and they complied just the same. I dined on the gumbo and the fried green tomatoes while I waited. The gumbo is labeled as «Spicy» and it was spicy, but cayenne should be used sparingly when making any gumbo. Spice is for flavor, not to overwhelm the taste buds. It was good, but I understand why they serve a biscuit with the dish. The fried green tomatoes have promise. They need to be cut just a bit thinner. When I got the catfish back, it was cooked. It tasted okay. All in all, the meal wasn’t worth $ 17.50. I’ve not had the Bloody Mary from this establishment yet. I will go back one day to have it(it’s award winning, apparently) and maybe just some onion rings(which looked awesome). My server was nice and attentive. Can’t complain about the service.

#I walked around town for about an hour trying to decide where to eat. I got tired and ended up here for some reason. Two for one #Bloody Marys at the time was cool. #I got the New Orleans Sampler and didn’t like it. But my friend met me there and ate the rest of my food. He thought it was good. I can’t tell if it’s because I was #hungover or if it was because my friend was hungry and didn’t get any sleep. Maybe all of the above reasons. It’s #weird. I think this picture of food looks really good.

My food was terrible along with the service but what the only thing that made my experience here decent was the table next to me. We both were experiencing poor service but tried to make the best of it. We came here because it was near our hotel on late late night after a Halloween party. I ordered the gumbo because what else do you eat while in Nawlins that should be good at any restaurant? We were seated and waited for ever for menus and water. Out server finally can’t over with menus and water. We ordered. She wrote our order down ONHERHAND we waited a good minute for our food but we knew it was gonna be a wait because it’s was Halloween night and this is a 24⁄7 establishment. Once we got our food I received salty Luke warm gumbo with a cold biscuit. Never saw our server until it was time for out check. I told the server about my food and she told me I should of mentioned it early. I explain I NEVERSAWHER after she delivered our food. Smh. Long story short don’t go here if you actually want decent food.

Consistency. This place has none. From service to food, its the type of place where you have a general idea of what to expect. In general, its cleanish, with adequate service and food. To be fair, I have not had their breakfast and I have been here twice. The first time it was a solid 3 star experience, no real issues, just some underdone fries in an otherwise tasty meal. I had a cheese burger, and it was some kind of premade patty like you get at a cafeteria. The veggies were fresh, and the service was great. My husband had a cheese steak that wasn’t too bad. The second time, we waited 17 minutes for service in a restaurant with only two other tables. We were simply ignored, other than our tea being plunked down and sloshed on the table. The time sitting gave me plenty of time to notice how damp it was, the food crumbs, the lack of ice in the tea, and the stains on the sweetener packets. This place isn’t fabulous, but it isn’t terrible provided you get the right server.

First time at the express and loved it. Right around the corner from our Hilton Garden Inn. Awesome Po-boys as always. The shrimp tastes so fresh and crispy! My gal always loves her seafood omelet. I love the hash browns. Great stop as they are open 24⁄7 and the prices are great for the quarter. They also have a full bar but we don’t drink so I can’t comment on it. The best part to me is the great food, close to the action, without the smells and noise of the quarter.
